“She stayed in touch with many pics. Our 3 dogs are in great spirits. She even washed the bedding from our spare room. The one she used while dog sitting. We will try to use her again, granted schedules match.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I could not be more pleased with how it all worked out. Starting with how easy it was to schedule. Victoria was very easy to work with and communicated with me throughout the complete process from the meet and greet to locking the door on her way out in the end. She sent pictures ever day and I came how to a happy hound dog. I look forward to scheduling her again.”

“Khaytlen was absolutely amazing while staying at my home to take care of my 2 GSDs. She treated both my pups and my house with the utmost care and respect. I received regular updates and photos, and it was clear that Holly and Kane were happy, super active with long walks, and well loved the entire time. The house was spotless when I returned, and my dogs barely seemed to notice I’d been gone — the best sign of all! I couldn’t have asked for a more reliable, thoughtful, and kind sitter. I’ll definitely be booking Khaytlen again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trusted in-home dog sitter! 🐾”

“I had reservations about leaving my fur babies with a stranger but Angel was absolutely amazing every step of the way. He answered all of my questions and gave several very detailed updates throughout the weekend, including pictures. It allowed me to relax and be able to focus on my trip instead of stressing about my pets well being. They were in very good hands! I came home to a clean house because Angel really went above and beyond, vacuuming and cleaning up when I didn't expect or ask him to. I would recommend him a thousand times over and will most definitely reach out to him if I'm ever in need of a sitter again! Thank you, Angel, for taking such amazing care of our furry family members!”

“Fawn was super kind and communicative. This was the first time in 10+ years that we have left our animals and the pictures and updates put us at ease. When we got home you could tell the animals were well taken care of. We will for sure be reaching back out if we need help with our animals again.”

“Outstanding house sitting care for my 10 year old Korean Jindo who still is very active. She clearly bonded very well and communicated with us often including sending pics of my dog happily doing different things. The house looked very clean and tidy when we returned. She will be our pick again.”

“Reyna was absolutely awesome. Took great care of my home and cat, sent regular updates and was wonderfully communicative. Will always seek to book her first for my next travels. It was my first time using the app and she was patient with me and helped me figure out how to do it and what information to share.”

“Caroline was a wonderful sitter! She took great care of our dog and went above and beyond to accommodate unexpected situations. We felt extremely comfortable having her and are grateful for the many ways she helped us when we were traveling. We highly recommend her!”

“Stephanie was great with my Shih Tzus Belle and Finn. She administered oral meds and eye ointment without a problem, played fetch, and kept them happy with cuddles and loads of attention. Quickly responded to my texts - I had no concern my Littles were anything but happy with her. Will use Stephanie again in the future!”

“Natalie was super sweet and our pup clearly loved her. She sent us frequent updates and even took out the trash when she left. We would absolutely have her back the next time we have to travel without our pup!”

“We are so thankful for Victoria! She took care of our 3 dogs and home for a weekend and we trusted her through out our stay. We appreciate her communication and the time she spent with our dogs. Thank you Victoria!”

“Ryenne was fantastic with my brood. I was a little nervous going into the sit since we had only had time to do a video call intro, but she more than exceeded my expectations and I had one of the most relaxing weekends away in years. truly. I didn’t have to worry about a thing plus…she washed the sheets so I didn’t come home to a pile of laundry. But the main thing is that my beasts were super well-cared for and happy. Thank you!!!!”

“Christina sent regular pictures and updates and provided great communication. She left our house neat and tidy. She was very friendly and I enjoyed meeting her and appreciate her to taking good care of our sweet Luna girl.”

“Drew really cares about animals. They went above and beyond to take care of my dog Oakley often times taking them to the park and paid close attention to details about my dog. Communication was top tier and she always updated me with pictures! If I ever need to book again I’m choosing drew!”

“Brianna was fantastic at being able to step in for my girls at the last minute after my prior sitter fell through while I was out of the country. It was a nightmare situation but Brianna made the transition easy especially from the other side of the world. She left my house in immaculate condition and my girls were clearly well cared for. They enjoyed their time with her and the adventures they had with her. I would definitely use Brianna again in the future.”

About: I grew up in a large family with many pets. We had five dogs and two cats growing up, and I have had my own pets since. I’ve had multiple dogs and cats over the years, though I just moved back to Washington, so I have no pets at the moment. I currently have open availability and am able to provide visits or stay over at clients homes to care for pets. I’m able to arrange arrival and departure to fit your schedule. I am able to fit whatever needs the client has. If your pets are accustomed to being out and about in the home, I can spend time with them that way. I also am able to use kennels for feeding or sleeping if that’s what they are used to. I’m comfortable keeping things tidy and making sure it’s a safe and clean space for them to hang out.
“Alexis was a terrific sitter for my two dogs, cat, and chickens. Everyone warmed up instantly to her and she took very good care of the animals and house. Will book again.”

“Yvette was a wonderful pet sitter! She stayed with our young Golden Retriever named Rosie for two nights at our place in University Place. Yvette took the time to have a video call and come over to meet Rosie before our weekend away. Right away, it was apparent that Yvette loved dogs and Rosie adored her. Yvette was consistently responsive, provided photos and updates, and easy to trust as house/petsitter. We'll book her again, for sure!”

I know we've left a million reviews for y'all, but I can't express enough how much stress you guys have helped alleviate with our pet sitting. We always know the animals get spoiled, are safe, and the house is taken care of. We especially appreciate the last minute requests with family things that you've been able to accommodate for us - we seriously hope you guys pet sit forever 🤣💜 Thank you as always!!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter while I was on vacation. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my two dogs were in such caring and capable hands. They were well cared for, happy, and clearly received lots of attention and love. I came home to healthy and happy pups. I will definitely use Reese again.

Drew really cares about animals. They went above and beyond to take care of my dog Oakley often times taking them to the park and paid close attention to details about my dog. Communication was top tier and she always updated me with pictures! If I ever need to book again I’m choosing drew!

Fawn was super kind and communicative. This was the first time in 10+ years that we have left our animals and the pictures and updates put us at ease. When we got home you could tell the animals were well taken care of. We will for sure be reaching back out if we need help with our animals again.

Lanii, was great!!! She was super communicative the whole time. Plenty of update pictures and even texted me when our anxious dog was having accidents in the house due to be nervous around new people. They both loved her instantly and were intimidated at all! I would highly recommend her as a sitter and we will definitely be using her services in the future!

Kaitlin is everything you would want in a pet sitter! Efficient communication, punctual and so very sweet to our animal crew! She sent pictures daily and was very detailed to ensure our large (and very medicated crew) was taken care of properly. We can't wait to have her back.
Sarah was excellent and met all our needs. We had a number of special needs for our fur family. Both of my college daughters had a pet staying at the house along with our dog and 2 skittish cats. So each animal had its own special set of directions and they all needed to be managed separately to keep everyone happy and safe. Sarah managed all these expectations perfectly, giving each pet indualized care. She sent pictures and updates and was very responsive when I sent messages. I will definitely use Sarah again for our pet care needs.
Anna is incredible! Rey can be a little anxious and Anna was so sweet with her, spent so much time cuddling and outside with her and even took her on an outing to Home Depot! Anna gave frequent check ins and pictures, so it was always clear how Rey was doing, and I got to see firsthand what a great weekend she had. Anna was so conscientious and even cleaned up for us which was absolutely above and beyond. I couldn't recommend her more and will be using her again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Brookdale on Rover is $42.18 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 6,637 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Brookdale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brookdale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brookdale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brookdale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brookdale. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
