Personalized care for your dog or cat - Brookdale

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Brookdale
“This was my first experience for boarding my dog with Noelle. I appreciated how open and flexible she was to doing a meet and greet first, prior to my booking. Her home was very clean and she really cares about the pets she cares for. Great communication and she really treated my dog like she was her own. I appreciated all the updates with photos and videos, and taking my dog on walks. I definitely will be booking with her again for future stays.”

“Anthony and Krista were great! They sent updates and pictures throughout the stay and communicated very well. My dogs seemed very comfortable and relaxed when I dropped them off and picked them up even though it was their first time staying with them.”
“Kristine was absolutely amazing! She was so caring and professional with my sweet boy, Marlie. She kept me in the loop with regular updates and pictures of Marlie while he was under her care. She even took a last-minute call for boarding because of a family event. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for boarding in Puyallup and the surrounding areas. I was completely satisfied with her service!”

“I can tell my dog loves his staycations at Mariko’s house. She takes him to the dog park nearly every day and gives plenty of attention. She goes the extra mile. For example, she provided stairs to help my senior dog in and out of the car. She’s also really good about sending daily check-ins (photos, videos, etc.) It is a bit of a drive to drop off and pick up for us, but it’s totally worth it. She is our go-to dog sitter.”

“Dexter and Dory love staying with Ashleigh & family, it has become their second home, they seemed to be a little bit sad to leave them behind today, We're very happy to have found such a wonderful place to leave our pups when we need to, thanks Ashleigh, Jeffery, Ernie & Boston :)”

“Val was great with our two puppies. We were struggling g having litter mates, but Val gave us hope. She was great with them. The puppies had a great time. We received lots of pictures. Val has a large yard and home that is dog friendly.”

“We left our chihuahua with Katrina! She kept us updated with the sweetest photos constantly, which I absolutely appreciated! Thank you for taking such good care of our pup! Would most definitely book with Katrina again!”

“My 8 month old Cane Corso stayed with Jeannine for 3 full days/ night. This was my first time leaving him since I got him at 8 weeks. His breed and size make everything challenging. I can’t leave him with just anyone. She was fantastic! The frequent updates put my mind at ease. He had a couple small complications which she updated me on and handled like a true pro. He will definitely be back!”

“Hayley provided a safe, calm environment for Diezel. He was able to explore and play. When I picked him up he wasn't stressed which told me that his first visit away from home and with Hayley was a success.”

“Christopher did such a good job taking care of my Kylo. He updated me frequently and I felt secure while I was on my 2 week trip that my puppy had everything he needed.”

“I boarded my nervous little dog with Heather, and I couldn't be happier with the care my pet received. Heather connected with me each day with a report of my dog's state of being. I was able to enjoy my time away knowing my dog was in excellent hands. Thank you, Heather!”
“I had to unexpectedly request a last boarding for my 9 week old kitten for the weekend and Brandie responded within the hour of my request. She sent me sooo many pictures of my kitty throughout the weekend and really put me at ease and did a great job. Will definitely use her again!”

“My dog Dobby had a great time at Juli's! He was able to play with the other small dogs and run around in her yard. She was very communicative and sent updates and photos. We look forward to booking with her again.”

“Duke and I are so glad we found Kayle! We have booked two stays with her, one being an 11 day stay (with a 3rd one coming up soon!) and she has been nothing short of amazing. She is very attentive to Duke and has treated him like her own since the first night. She is very flexible which is a bonus for me as I am active duty military (100% recommend). We have definitely found our Washington sitter in Kayle and will continue to book with her for as long as she will have us!! You can feel very comfortable and confident in Kayle’s ability to care for your pet. She keeps open communication through the entire stay and gives your fur baby lots of love while you’re away!! ❤️❤️ 🐶”

“Mollie took great care of our pup! You could tell that she loves caring for animals. She sent so many great pictures and was great at putting our family at ease while she watched our pup! We will definitely have her watch our dog again!”

“Briaunna went above and beyond after I'd made an error with one of my most recent bookings. She was so responsive and went the extra mile to make sure my cat was taken care of even when that meant a last minute late night visit! I was super grateful for her!”

“Brooklyn took wonderful care of my cat. She has such a warm and assuring presence that was the perfect fir for my shy gal. Everything was in order when I arrived back home from my trip, and her daily updates assured me my pet was safe and well cared for. Thank you for your kindness!”

“Drew is wonderful with our Maggie. Followed directions to a T and the communication was A+. We’ve never had anyone come in and take care of our girl but Drew really put at us ease. Sent brilliant pictures and engaged with Maggie. I know next time we leave town Drew will definitely be the person we call. Highly recommend”

“I had such a great experience with Mikaila during her drop-in visits! She was incredibly kind, professional, and very attentive to my cats’ needs. I have special needs kitties who require medication, and she handled it with care and confidence. It was such a relief knowing they were in good hands while I was away. I really appreciated the updates and how gentle she was with them—definitely recommend Mikaila to anyone needing reliable and compassionate pet care!”

“The BEST as always. Maria (&her cute assistant) always treat our cat as family. We have been traveling so much this past year and we always feel the most at ease when they are there.”

“Ashley did an amazing job taking care of my cats. They warmed up to her immediately and she took great care of them while I was away. The pictures she took during her visits were incredible. I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Lauren was very patient with our skittish cat, who even allowed Lauren to pet her early during the week! Communication was good, and she was attentive to our needs during vacation. Thank you, Lauren.”

“I admit I had separation anxiety leaving my two elder cats due to all the extra attention they received during the pandemic! This was my first trip since end of 2019 and Susan (at the last minute) came to my rescue after a relative had to cancel pet sitting. Susan came on time twice a day, sent pictures daily, and kitties looked happy upon my return. Thank you so much for your time and care. Much appreciated!!”
About: I have had many dogs and taken of care many. All sizes and types. I absolutely love animals and take great care of them. I can follow any instructions you may have. They will be loved as if they were my own. We will have plenty activities to do and if they're not to active of a dog then they're more than welcome to just sit and watch tv with me! Dogs aren't just pets, they're family. For dog walking/house sitting I like to let the dogs have plenty of outside time and let them explore (supervised) and play! We have an acre of backyard(fenced) for them to run and play! I only work nights and my husband stays home with our 2 year old so someone is always home to give the dogs attention! In the morning after breakfast we usually play in the back yard for a while, and then my dogs like to relax inside after before I go to work. Then they usually wander outside with my husband and two year old walking the yard and playing ball. I have a fenced yard, and very friendly dogs with tons of energy to play! In my clients home I’m very respectful and clean. I’ll always treat your pups as if they’re my own.
About: Pretty much had a cat or a dog my entire life, have also been in charge of naming them as long as I can remember. Love taking walks so to be able to do it with a furry friend is just a huge plus. I work part time about 15 hours a week, so I have a decent amount of free time in my schedule! Would love to spend some of it helping some people out with their awesome animals. I have had only indoor cats recently so they just get totally spoiled with all the toys and treats and beds. I’m very good with just about any kind of dog/cat I’ve ever interacted with.

“Katherine is amazing! My fur babies loved her. She sent me pictures and videos of them. My cats didn't have a hard time with the transition. I will always look for her any time I need a sitter for Bella and Koda! She's easy to work with and flexible as well.”

“I have booked Tory previously and I love the continuous support. Super reliable especially for someone like me that has a consistent work schedule with longer hours. Thank you!”

“I had a much less stressful Norwescon knowing Tank and Molly were getting seen to so wonderfully. Love the pictures. They were calm and happy when I got home. I am officially covered in cat hair but they are not stressed and I am loving that. Love to book you for Worldcon in August. Thank you!”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Brookdale
“Jeannine is absolutely the best! She is super kind, communicative, and really cares about dogs! Amani is always excited to arrive at her home and is tired when she gets home! Jeannine is a wonderful example of the kind of sitter you’d want to watch your fur baby! I love all the photos and videos and her quick responses! And a super bonus is she is an expert with German Shepherds! Truly a gem in Tacoma!!!! I highly recommend her services!!!”

“Kristina was amazing with Nalo. We set up a meet and greet last week and she interacted with Nalo, gave him treats, and was even training him in that short time. He had his first day of doggie daycare yesterday and Kristina sent me video and pictures of Nalo throughout the day. Nalo is only 5 months but we are leaving for 3 days in a few weeks and were looking for someone we can trust to watch Nalo for 3 days. Nalo made friends, went on walks, and was pooped by the time he came home 😂 Thanks Kristina! So glad we found you!”

“Khatelyn is so nice and flexible as well as great with my Moon. I loved that Moon got the exercise she needed and had walking adventures! And I really love the picture and video updates!”

“When my older Corgi and I were busy for several days, Odalys's daycare was the perfect for my younger Corgi! Easy drop off and pick up, great communication, and Knox came home happy and tired! It was great for him to be able to get out and move during the day and to get a chance to play!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs almost every week on the weekends along with sitting for my neighborhood dogs, cats, birds and guinea pigs while they are on vacation or away from their home. I am comfortable feeding dogs, interacting with them and I love to give lots of love. I am familiar with giving medication’s to dogs if needed. Your animal will be in good hands as I will love them as my own. Whatever an owner needs for them and their dogs to be well cared for, I can accommodate. I work from home, so the dog will always be accompanied with me. we’ll have plenty of playtime, outside time and potty breaks. I provide at least 2 walks a day and several Potty breaks from 7 am up until 10 Pm. I have a fenced yard where they can play as they like and they can hang out inside as well. I am very interactive with the dogs and love to send pictures.
“Brought out little guy over to play for the day before he comes over for a few days for vacation - I was of course a nervous mom, but he did great! We got pictures and updates and he made new friends! Thank you so much!”

“I brought my two beagles to Leslie for a year, and she took wonderful care of them. Leslie was very easy to work with, and whenever my family gets another dog, we definitely plan on using Leslie again.”
“Christopher was so kind and took great care of my grumpy old man :) he was very responsive, sent daily photos, and gave lots of love! He even gave him a bath and cleaned his eye boogers for him. Thank you so much! We will definitely come back!”

“Lexie took wonderful care of our fur babies. It was our first time leaving them with someone other than family so we were a bit nervous. She sent us pictures & updates throughout the day that helped ease our concern. Both pups were happy & well cared for. We will definitely use her again the future.”

“Mollie is such an excellent communicator and really makes you feel safe and comfortable leaving your fur baby. I'm so thankful to have found someone so genuine who cares for my pet like their own!”

About: Hello there, helpful Heather here! I am the only child of a 3rd generation Pug breeder. I’ve never lived a day without a Pug by my side - Pugs are my life! That being said, I may be a bit socially awkward on the human end of things, but your dog and I will be fast friends! Guaranteed. While I am happy to help with the occasional sitting need what I am looking for is to be an extension of your furry family. If you're reading this, then it's obvious you're looking for more than just a sitter or walker. You're looking for a nanny to help care for your furry children, and I am the exact fit for that. Our pets do best with familiarity, especially during stressful times such as travel. Though by themselves my services are stellar with familiarity they become unprecedented. This can be especially useful for senior care or for younger dogs who may require consistency for training - Walking on a Leash is a good example. The bottom line: I will love your pet(s) as though they were my own. My proficiency expands far beyond flat-faced breeds, don't worry! I am very familiar with many breeds of dogs: Australian Shepard (which, did you know is an American breed? Fun fact!) Basenji, Chihuahua, Corgi, any type of Doodle, Labrador, Pitties, Poodles (from standard to teacup), Yorkshire Terrier. And so many more!! Where did all this experience come from?! From not only love and a pawsome passion for animals, but from dog training as well. If you have certain goals you'd like to keep in practice, rest assured I’ve got the canine competence to assist you with your consistent training needs while you're away from home. Or, should you have any questions in regards to any undesirable doggy behaviors I'd be happy to assist and educate! I have an attachment for senior and special needs dogs. I must admit that while I adore dogs of all ages, there will always be a special place in my heart for the elderly. If your dog(s) need extra care or medications given to them with specific directions, rest assured I am fully capable and willing of doing whatever your senior or special needs dog(s) may require for their proper care. So, if you're looking for reliable, knowledgeable, and devoted pet assistance, I'm the sitter for you! Well, for your furry friend(s), that is. :) ►►If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask!☺ ♥Thank you♥ Pet sitting and dog walking is my full-time profession. During the week I have a handful of regular clients that occupy my time typically from 10 am to 2 pm. My weekends are mostly free and I am home every evening unless house sitting - in that case, my husband is home every evening from 6 pm to 7:30 am. I am always 30 minutes or less from my home and even during house sitting stays, I am coming home to check in on and provide company to my own two pups. They're never alone for more than four hours. Currently, my family is growing, and my house sits will be on a temporary hiatus as my husband and I adjust to having a tiny human in the house. My home has a moderate size yard that is fully fenced. I also have a doggy door that leads to the backyard for full access when someone is home. As I have cats and small caged critters, I do prefer boarding stays to be crate trained. My own dogs are crate trained and absolutely love their "box." It is their safe space for when life or other dogs becoming too overwhelming. In my experience, I have found that bringing your dog's crate (along with some beds and blankets) helps your dog have their own safe space to relax or retreat to when needed. It also keeps everyone safe while I am out tending to regular walking clients. When house sitting I try my best to keep to your dog's typical routine. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Crate when leaving, or close bedroom doors. Walks around the neighborhood or play in the backyard. Not allowed on furniture, sleeping in bed with you, etc. Please let me know what your furry friend is accustomed to! Please keep in mind that I will not be able to stay in your home 24/7 as I have regular clients during the week that I need to walk. I will be able to stay in your home through the entire night with regular afternoon potty breaks.
“Brittany and David were great!! It was Odie's first time staying with them, and they treated Odie as part of the family. They sent great pics, and he had so much fun he passed out when we got home. I would highly recommend them! Odie has a home away from home!”

“Jazmyne and Maya had a great day! Jazmyne was very cautious with my dog’s severe food allergies, which is is my number one priority. My pup came home happy and tired! We will definitely work with Jazmyne again, thank you!”
“I needed a last minute sitter and Timothy took in my puppy Scrim right away. I have a 1 yr 3 month Cane Corso, I was very skeptical for leaving him for a long period of time. Knowing Timothy has experience with larger dog breeds made me feel 100% comfortable. Him and his wife is very warming and welcoming! He has great communication! I know Scrim had an amazing time! I highly recommend and I will be returning! Thank you!”

Currently take care of 2 mid-large sized dogs and 3 cats. Love it all! I am go with the flow in whatever and whenever your animal needs to eat and go potty and play/train. I am very flexible with doing whatever you need in order to keep your pet safe and under control while still having fun while you're away.

“Briaunna is a pro! She has been walking our dog for a couple months now and he is always happy to see her! What I really appreciate is the fact she understands dog behaviors and when to give praise and when to wait. Our puppy gets a little jumpy at first meeting and we have been working on rewarding not jumping. She immediately ignores and then praised him when he stopped. She’s is also great at communicating. We appreciate her care and knowledge while taking care of him on his walks. I highly highly recommend!”

It’s so fun looking at his daily album of adventures while I’m away. I know Simone treats my pup just like her own and always shares his wins, I can’t highly recommend her enough!”

“Mollay went above and beyond this time for me! Starting with the booking, this was super last minute, but she was flexible and worked with me to get my dog walked. After that, she got some really cute pictures! When she made it back to my house, she even watered my plants and said hello to my rabbit for me! What a great experience all around. She is my go to!”

About: Hi there! I am a loving, patient dog mom who has never met a pup she didn't like! I have been a rescue dog foster for 5 years and worked with Rover since 2020 - I have cared for dozens of pets of different needs and breeds. I care for dogs with genuine love, patience and positive reinforcement! Meeting new dogs & getting to know their personality is so fun for me. Fostering requires a general love of animals, and home visits to verify you have adequate space to care for the dogs' needs. You must commit to learning about the foster, love it like your own, and communicate with potential adopters about the dogs needs/personality. The goal of fostering is to make dogs as comfortable in a new place as possible. These are all qualities I bring to the table as a pet-sitter. I have a fenced dog run with a potty area, a neighborhood park for walks and playtime, and anything a dog might need for their stay! I understand everyone wants the best possible care for their pet, and will provide a personalized, consistent pet care experience with lots of pictures and communication. Let’s make your time away a doggy vacation that is anxiety-free! I can't wait to hear about your fur baby! I am home full-time, so I have a free schedule for playing, potty breaks and exercise! Just let me know your pets schedule and needs and I will work it into my day. I have a fenced back dog run, free space to roam or a separate enclosed space if needed. I am happy to accommodate your pup however you need!

About: Available for last minute/odd schedule requests. Everything sets me apart from others because I've learned over all my yrs experience that when trust is shown trust is given. Then everything else falls into place. ***Available for last minute/odd schedule requests.*** Animals are my escape I enjoy all of them! Life would be boring without them. They bring so much happiness to me!!!l Life is just better with them in it to enjoy with us. Remember ***(Available for last minute/odd schedule requests.)*** Fur babies run the roost! I usually take them out every half hour just for exercise or fun as well as potty breaks (which is a good way to break bad marking habits for ones training). If it's a nice day usually we are outside all day playing and walking teaching the ones who are still in need of guided assistance. Which actually makes things way easier on me. Unless of course it's just to hot to be out side. Rainy days are our lazy days or indoor activity days. Lots of cuddles and loves. My personal fur babies are not kenneled but I do have kennels for ones who prefer it. It's whatever makes them happiest. Or feel the safest. I'm a pretty good judge of character when it comes to fur babies. We read one another very well. Which in turn makes us more comfy with one another. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with one ever.i know when to back off or come in for loves. Mutal respect is the best policy I feel.

I am currently a graduate student studying speech language pathology at the University of Washington. All funds that I make through Rover go towards paying my tuition. I can dog sit anytime that is available on my calendar :) I make sure to provide lots of pictures and updates for the parents. In case anything is out of the ordinary, I always make sure to have vet information before the families leave.

From early morning feeding and litter box maintenance to playtime, grooming, and health checks, we are always tuned in to the needs of the pets around us. This makes it easy and seamless to integrate pet care for others into our routine. Whether it’s drop-in visits, feeding schedules, or giving a shy cat extra attention, we;re already in that mindset every day - and we're happy to give your pet the same care and dedication we give our own. We treat every pet as part of our family, whether they're staying in our home or we're visiting theirs. In our home, we provide a quiet, clean, and cat-friendly environment with plenty of space, cozy resting spots, and a calm routine. We do have dogs in our home, but they're very well-behaved and can be fully separated if needed to ensure your cat or dogs feels safe and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client's home, we focus on maintaining their normal routine to reduce stress.

“Val was great with our two puppies. We were struggling g having litter mates, but Val gave us hope. She was great with them. The puppies had a great time. We received lots of pictures. Val has a large yard and home that is dog friendly.”

“Kristin and her family were great! Our large dog Sumo had a fantastic time and was taken care of with love by Kristin. She made everything very easy for us and was flexible with the pick up time as our travels extended a bit. We will happily be rebooking in the future!”

“We cannot recommend Priscilla highly enough! She watched our golden retriever, Murphy, and treated him like absolute royalty. From the moment we dropped him off, we felt completely at ease—Priscilla kept us updated with adorable photos, fun little stories, and thoughtful check-ins that made us feel so connected even while we were away. Murphy got to go on real adventures—walks, playtime, and tons of love—and it was clear from the photos that he was having the time of his life. He came home happy, tired (in the best way), and clearly adored. She gave him the kind of attention and joy we would have wanted for him. <3 If you’re looking for someone who will care for your dog with love, intention, and reliability, Priscilla is your person. We feel so lucky to have found her!”

“Gisella always takes great care of my bulldog Walter. He loves going there and getting to play with Gisella’s dog Brownie. Gisella is always communicative and flexible, would 100% recommend.”

“Ethan is the best! He watched our golden for over a week and sent us pictures and videos every day. Porter had the best time and we are so thankful to have a good, reliable person to leave him with!”

“Mariana and her family were so kind and accomodating for Sienna for my 3-day weekend. They took her for walks, fed her on her normal routine and always made sure she had her eye drops! I had to pick her up a bit later on a Sunday and they were just fine with that. I will be calling Mariana again when I'm out of town as I know Sienna will be so well taken care of!”

“Brittany is phenomenal with my mini Aussie, Vivo! She is always available to care for him, and even last minute bookings which I have a habit of doing. Vivo gets so excited every time we pull up to the house and I can tell he is super comfortable being there. I’ve booked many times & will continue to do so!”
