“Sheri took on my request for dog walking with only two days' notice and was able to do a meet and greet beforehand as well! She was friendly, communicative, punctual, and you can really tell she loves animals. I will definitely consider her for the next time we need help with dog walking or even dog sitting. Thank you, Sheri!”

“Sophia's availability and reliability are excellent! I can tell she genuinely cares about and enjoys working with animals. Our dogs are like family to us and we appreciate sitters like Sophia who treat them as such.”

“Silvia was absolutely wonderful! I am an anxious person about our dogs' care. We also have a senior dog with her own quirks. Silvia was kind and patient in getting to know our dogs and communicated with me every day about the visits. I highly recommend her and look forward to requesting her support for our dogs in the future! Thank you so much, Silvia!!”

About: With over five years of experience caring for a wide range of animals, I've developed a genuine love and understanding for each one's unique needs. From dogs and cats to birds, reptiles, and small mammals, I've provided attentive care, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness. Whether it's daily walks and playtime for energetic pups, gentle cuddles for feline friends, or specialized care for more exotic pets, I'm committed to providing a nurturing environment where every animal feels loved and secure. I currently do online school. I’m very free on weekends and week ends! I will be able to house sit as well as be very active and flexible. I have a big fenced back yard. As well as 2 of my own dogs who are VERY friendly. I also have a car to be able to transport!
“I don’t think Nikki has ever said no to sitting! That’s incredible! She takes my pups out for good walks twice a day (more exercise than they probably get with just me). When I get home everything is always perfect and the dogs are happy. Highly recommend!”

“Andrhu is such a wonderful walker for our family, our girls really see him as a friend and playmate. He is so caring and really keeps our girls happiness and safety in the forefront if each visit. We feel such comfort knowing they are safe with him and that they have a great time playing, exploring and getting the daily stimulation we can't always provide when we are working”

“Anna has been fantastic with our dog, Chad. She’s reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about the dogs she works with. We always feel confident knowing Chad is in good hands, and he’s always happy after his walks. Highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog walker!”

About: Cat Expert: Six years of caring for my own cat taught me how to give long-term love and support (feeding, grooming, and lots of cuddles!). Dog Buddy: I easily connect with dogs of all breeds and sizes. I am confident in providing active, safe walks and giving your pup plenty of one-on-one attention. Cozy Overnights: I would be happy to stay overnight at your home! This is the best way to ensure your pet doesn't miss you too much, their routine stays perfect, and they feel safe and secure while you are away. I'm currently unemployed, so I have plenty of time to look after your pets. I'm available from 6 a.m. and can take care of your pets at a time convenient for you. I don't work on Saturdays. Unfortunately, I can't host your animals at my home, but I'll be happy to care for them on your property. Rest assured, they won't get bored.
About: I grew up helping to care for and walk my neighbors’ two elderly beagles, so I’m very comfortable with senior dogs. I have experienced in handling dogs who love to sniff and tug on the leash. Over the past few years, I’ve regularly walked a variety of dogs in my neighborhood, including those over 50 pounds, so I’m confident with larger breeds. I also have a dog of my own (Fox) a sweet Border Collie/Lab mix we’ve owned for 6 years. I’m open to working with all breeds and am comfortable walking dogs of all ages and energy levels. I’m a part-time student with a flexible schedule and open availability throughout the day. I’m happy to offer longer walks or multiple check-ins any day of the week except Thursday. I’m available as early as 8:30 AM and can schedule walks or drop-ins as late as 8:00 PM. When I’m caring for dogs in a client’s home, I do my best to make your pet feel safe, relaxed, and at home in their own space. I stick to their usual routine—whether that’s walk times, feeding, or just hanging out—to keep things familiar and low-stress. I’m always careful with doors, leashes, and anything safety-related, and I treat your home with respect, leaving things just as I found them. I take the time to get to know each pet and let them come to me when they’re ready. Whether your dog needs play, cuddles, or just someone to chill with, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at.
“Oh my goodness. What a great human. Emilia was so patient, sitting with my shy dog before going on the walks and she warmed up so well after the patience. I got videos and pictures. Emilia went above and beyond, so grateful!!”

About: I have 27+ years experience caring for all kinds of animals but mainly dogs and cats. I really find it rewarding and I enjoy helping animals. I can also dispense vitamins/supplements, and/or medication accurately if needed. I have experience with pregnancies and older dogs and cats. I will customize your pets care plan to what works best for them. I am widely available through the entire week. I'm very flexible and reliable. Usually I am free during most days and nights. I would appreciate the opportunity to meet your amazing pets, and provide the best quality and safest, care and attention for your loved ones. I have a house with a large open fenced in yard with grass. I have a large crate also if needed. “Our husky was playing hide and seek with Darrienne on her first visit so she had to adjust the walk route. She is great with the dogs and now they are excited to see her. The applies especially to our husky who is usually a bit aloof. She is concerned for their well being and has changed walk times and/or days due to hot weather. We will be using her services again for our next vacation in September if she is available.”

About: I've taken care of many of my friends pets, dogs and cats when they are away. I absolutely love doing it! Pets are part of the family! I am currently working part time doing instacart so I am on the road and can stop whenever I need to let them out or take them on a walk. I am also starting school this summer so I will be available after classes as well. I usually stay over at my friend's house whenever they are gone to watch their fur babies. So they feel comfortable and safe in there own space.
“My Enzo seems to really enjoy his time with Piper. He’s extreme high energy and she’s great at staying calm and sweet with him. I appreciate knowing he’s with someone who loves him and other animals as much as I do.”

“Thank you for taking extra care and going on a longer walk to avoid other dogs! I’m so glad scooter remembered you and he looked SO HAPPY in the photos you took! Thank you so much!!”

Lexi walked my dogs weekly for about 6 weeks and did an excellent job! She had great communication and went above and beyond, especially with my senior dog who is 14 and sometimes had to be carried home from the park. I would highly recommend her and I will absolutely look her up again if I’m in the area. Thanks so much Lexi!

- 91% of walkers can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
