Pet care experience

A Pal of Puppers and Carer of Cats!

I can't take on anymore repeat walks/drop-ins at the moment. Sorry. --‐---------------- Since I was a baby, I had always had pets in the house. I personally started helping with pet care (brushing, bathing, walks, feeding, etc) when we had two Akitas. I also have had experience with cats, sugar gliders, chickens, fish, various "rodents" and even scorpions and tarantulas. I've cared for other friends' and neighbors' pets over the years while they took trips, and loved to make new fluffy friends with their own new personalities. I provided basics like scooped litter boxes and feedings, to walks and pool time, depending on what the pet loved and needed. I currently care for a single cocker spaniel, but I make sure he is healthy, brushed, and active. --‐---------------- OFFERINGS: My back yard is fenced in and a decent size. I have lots of toys, dog-safe bubbles, and even a small kiddie pool. It has a pavilion too should your dog need a shade break. Indoors, I keep most doors closed should your pet be the kind who likes to get into trash cans or hampers (we all know those pets). I also have spare bowls for feeding and water as well as a large dog sized cage should they be cage trained.

Meghan was fantastic with our two dogs for our week-long trip! She sent daily photo updates showing walks, cuddles, and playtime, which gave so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs clearly felt comfortable and loved with her — you could tell from the pictures alone. Highly recommend Meghan if you want a sitter who's attentive, communicative, and genuinely loves dogs. We're not local, but if we're ever back in the area, we'd book with her again without hesitation!

We know we are leaving Charlie in the best hands when he stays with Meghan. We couldn’t ask for better care, and we love the pictures Meghan sends.

Schedule

‐--‐---------------- SCHEDULE: Not accepting anymore reoccurring bookings at the moment. I work from home remotely, but do leave for up to three hours some days for walks and drop-ins. Boarding drop-off and pick up times have some wiggle room. My mother-in-law is always home, so your fur baby is never alone, and can be let out into our fenced yard to romp and do business. I make sure they get fed, walked once to twice a day, and given any medicines if necessary.

Safety, trust & environment

--‐---------------- When I first receive a pet for boarding, I take them to the backyard to allow them to sniff around, do their business, and remeet my pup. My yard is relatively spacious with a pavillion and a water bowl to keep cool. Inside, I have a large crate if need be, lots of dog bed options, and spare bowls.

A typical day

--‐---------------- FUN AMENITIES: I provide all sorts of toys for dogs! Frisbees, tennis balls, rope for the basic fun. I have dog-safe bubbles should your pup love catching them. I have a kiddie pool that I can fill with ball-pit plastic balls-should your dog need a place to search for treats- or water for a cooling oasis in the summer. My neighborhood has a decent forest trail that spans from it for a fun, shaded walk, but I'm wiling to go to other parks for that as well. I know of several dog parks in my area that include obstacles, ramps, and tubes if your dog loves the agility course fun or large, open parks for maximum romping.

--‐---------------- SPECIAL NEEDS: If your dog has any special needs, let me know ahead of time. I haven't had much experience with them as of yet, but I am a quick learner with experience in caring for children, so if you feel confident in trusting me, I will not let you down. I have a sibling who has been a vet-tech for over 8 years who I can reach out to for extra guidance as well. Of course, should I feel uncertain, I will let you know ahead of time. If your dog needs any specific medications at certain times, let me know the dose and time to administer. I'll set alarms and make sure they are taken care of!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
