I have loved animals my entire life with cats at home growing up and have welcomed dogs into my home as an adult. In high school at Highline High School, I led an Animal club, Animal Alliance that participated in 'pet therapy' bringing our pets to retirement homes to comfort the residents. As an adult, I am a foster volunteer with RASKC and have been fostering a senior cat (she's 20 years old!?!) for over 4 years with special needs as she has CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease). Currently my husband and I share our home with 3 cats (all domestic shorthair females) and 1 dog, an Italian Greyhound. I take care of the bulk of the pet care as I work from home most of the time and get in plenty of quality time with our fur kids. Note: My standard rates are for clients within 5 miles of the downtown Des Moines area & a slightly higher rate applies for clients outside Des Moines if more than a 10 min drive.

I will care for your pets in your home as if you were there- abiding by your instructions and making your pets feel at ease. I consider myself a pet whisperer and can read animals well with a natural intuition that has proven accurate several times over with my cats and dog in helping identify medical issues that were then resolved successfully.

Schedule
I am currently self employed working with a somewhat flexible schedule and have some time available to care for my neighbor's pets. Early or late mornings, afternoons and evenings all work for my schedule.

- Note: I require a Meet and Greet with any dog walks, drop-in sits of housesitting. No exceptions. Please let me know about your dog, cat or other pet's personality and temperament -whether they are fearful of new people, if they have separation anxiety, their routines, schedules and favorite treat and any tricks we can work on together.
