About: Iâve cared for dogs for years and have experience with both large and small breeds. I currently help care for my two Saint Bernards and have also dog sat Australian Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, and smaller dogs with my mom. As a student-athlete, Iâm very active and used to maintaining routines, so I can handle walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and giving pets lots of attention and exercise. Iâm reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy being around animals. Iâm a student-athlete, so staying active and responsible is already part of my daily routine. I lift every weekday morning from 9â10am and practice from 11amâ12pm, which still gives me plenty of time during the afternoons, evenings, and weekends to care for your pets. Iâm used to balancing a busy schedule while caring for my own dogs, so your pets will always get attention, exercise, and reliable care. Iâve grown up around dogs and currently care for two Saint Bernards, so Iâm very comfortable with large breeds and dogs with different personalities and energy levels. Iâve also helped my mom dog sit Australian Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, and smaller dogs, so Iâm experienced with a wide range of sizes and temperaments. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, exercised, and cared for while keeping owners updated and following any routines or instructions closely.
About: I grew up around dogs and cats in a family that took very good care of their pets. I used to be a dog walker, and have pet sat for many a friend over the last 20 years so I have much experience. I love animals so much and giving them the best care and some truly genuine love brings me joy and also makes them happy - what a perfect combo âĽď¸ If you entrust your petâs care to me, I will do my very best for them. At this time, I am not able to do regular dog walks for folks because of my other work schedule, but occasional drop in visits and walks are definitely something I am interested in. While Iâm not caring for clients pets at my own home, I will follow whatever instructions you have for me at your home. Each situation is different.

âCynthia has been fantastic, and Iâm so grateful to have found her. She is reliable, caring, and always goes above and beyond for our pets. What really stands out is her willingness to help when unexpected situations come upâshe has even made special last-minute trips to walk our dogs when weâve been unexpectedly pulled away from home. It gives us tremendous peace of mind knowing our pets are in such capable and compassionate hands. I highly recommend Cynthia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dedicated pet sitter or dog walker.â

About: I have experience caring for dogs of all energy levels, from playful puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I also have experience with cats and a variety of animals. Over the years, I've cared for everything from iguanas to ferrets and truly enjoy working with animals of all kinds. I currently work part-time, typically during the mornings, which leaves the rest of my day flexible for pet care. This allows me to provide attentive care, regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. I have a lifelong love of animals and enjoy making them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. During our meet and greet, I'll take the time to learn about your pet's routine, needs, personality, and any special quirks or preferences. My goal is to provide consistent, attentive care that helps your pet feel comfortable, safe, and happy while you're away.
About: I love dogs and cats! Each one has their own personality and quirks. My goal is to build a trusting relationship with any animal in my care. It's such a joy when I can communicate with an animal! I will always do my best to keep your pets safe and happy. I know some pets are very energetic and love to play rough, while others just want to be snuggled and pet. Either way, I'm up for the job! I will ask lots of questions about your fur friend so we can get off on the right foot! I'm a stickler for cleaning up after dogs or cats in my care. I have no problem scooping kitty litter every day or picking up puppy packages in the park (or your yard, for that matter). My goal is to provide a wonderful experience for you and your pet!

About: I have always cared for animals ever since I was young. I grew up in a home with five small dogs. Now living on my own, my friends have big dogs living with us that I help care for. I helped feed, walk, and also bath the dogs whenever they need it. I also love to play with them and give them some exercise like running. I live an active lifestyle with a very clam demeanor.

About: Not only do I believe that dog is a manâs best friend â I also know for a fact that dogs are a girlâs best friend. I am the proud mom of Alice (a miniature poodle) and her âwiggle-worm bodyâ. She is now a senior dog so I have a LOT of experience with them. I also have a terrier named Mia who is 6. Dogs give you unconditional love, all the attention you could need and a wonderful sense of purpose. Pets have always been a part of my life and I love all dogs â big and small. To me, pets have always been a part of my family. Itâs important to me to have someone reliable and trustworthy take care of Alice while I am traveling and I strive to do the same for others. You should be able to rest assured while you are away that your furry family members are well taken care of. I take extra time to get to know your pet and develop a relationship with them (and you!). I want to ensure that your dog is not only well loved while you are away but that you return to a happy and healthy pup. I have been a pet sitter for years now - taking care of friends and families pets while they are away. I am experienced in taking care of young and old dogs as well as maintaining your obedience training requirements. Why I love dog sitting For my whole life! My family has always had dogs and all sorts of animals. I've grown up with a love for all things furry. I have lots of experience in training dogs and have done so since I was a kid. My experience administering medication Not a problem. I have to give this daily to my own pups. I work from home most of the week but I do go into the office on Tuesday and Thursday. I am normally gone those days from 8:30am to 4:00. The rest of the time I will be there for walks and snuggles all day. I dont take dogs at my house because of my senior dog but I would love to come to your so it is less stress on your babies!
About: I've been caring for pets for 8 years: for neighbors, friends, and clients found on Nextdoor. I understand how much our companions mean to us, and I'm dedicated to providing the best care possible to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of your animal. I've taken care of a variety of animals - from dogs and cats, to hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish - including young and elderly. I am comfortable with walks, administering medication, and, of course, playtime! I'm a recent college graduate still looking for a full-time job. I also have a small side gig upcycling clothing, but I will have plenty of time to look after your pet. Just reach out, and we can make something work! I will care for your pet exactly as you want me to. I try to simulate their daily routine as closely as possible to build trust with them. I do not care for pets in my own home, but I am comfortable staying overnight with your pet, with daily check-ins, and anything else needed. With daily check-ins, I try to stay for AT LEAST an hour each visit, to provide sufficient company and to take care of anything I need to. Depending on the animal's needs, I will visit 2-3 times/day.

About: I have a goldendoodle of my own, Joey, who I trained and raised for the last 8 years. Iâve also looked after neighborsâ and relativesâ dogs my whole life! Iâm currently off from university so I have plenty of free time to take care of your dogs, and I already clear a lot of my schedule to look after my own dog so pet care is always a part of my day. I have a small fenced yard and a friendly dog of my own, who I can take on walks with your dog or without if you prefer!

âI needed some help walking my dog due to an injury. Jojo was able to help on short notice. Sheâs friendly and reliable. My dogs a little shy around new people, but was clearly happy to see her after a couple days. If heâs happy Iâm happy đ đ¸â

About: I have taken care of many pets, mostly cats over the years. I have experience with grooming cats, cleaning litter boxes, cleaning mess spots, and playing with them. I also have experience walking and caring for dogs. I used to own a hamster and know how to clean out their cages and check on their food and water. I currently do not have a job and am hoping to find some families to help out here. Currently I am free almost all the time! The only things that would conflict with me being able to care for your pet would be if I am babysitting. I know how to wrangle dogs if they get to rowdy and to keep them away from other dogs if the other dog is too dangerous. I also know how mischievous cats can be and know their tricks when they are up to something.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
