“I was so grateful for Ao and Yun’s kind and thoughtful care of Harley while we were on vacation. Our family staying with her was unable to walk her so Ao and Yun were life savers for our energetic baby. They sent pictures and updates everyday they were there - thank you so much you two!”

“Nigel is so great with our dog Kai. My neighbors have seen him with my dog and always compliment how he treats him. He always updates me on my dog's habits and things he's noticed about my dog. We're so grateful to have him walk our dog!”

About: Hi I’m Steven and I would love to get to know and take care of your fur babies. I have years of experiences and I’m currently a private skill trainer for NBA and pro basketball players. I do private training for basketball players so my schedule is pretty flexible. Just have to coordinate a time in advance and we can figure something out! The safety and well beings for your fur babies is the first priority and the non negotiable. By providing me as much information as possible will really help me prepare the job! I will make sure we have fun and stay safe at the same time!
About: I have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’ve been the reliable friend people turn to when they’re away. Some of the routines look like: stopping in to feed pets, provide fresh water, clean up, and offer enrichment and play, and companionship so they feel comfortable and not alone. I also have experience house sitting and staying overnight for up to four nights, making sure pets feel safe, settled, and cared for in their own environment. I’ve been around animals since I was about 10 years old, including golden retrievers, labs, and cats, and I often ask to say hello when I see a furry friend out and about. I welcome different temperaments and adjust myself to meet them where they’re comfortable. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and aim to provide calm, attentive, and loving care so fur babies feel secure, seen, and cared for while their best friend is away. I am available all days of the week, between 9:00 am-6:00 pm, can provide overnight care, please send me a message. (Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat) The goal is calm, consistency, and reading pet cues. 1. Follow their routine exactly Pets feel safest with predictability. Feed at the same times Use the same food amounts and bowls Keep walks/playtime similar to what they’re used to Even small changes can make sensitive pets anxious. 2. Do a careful first check-in When I arrive: I look for water level, food, accidents, or damage I observe their behavior (hiding, excited, nervous, clingy) I let them come to me rather than forcing interaction. 3. I arrive with a calm presence Many pets don’t need constant stimulation, they need steady companionship. I prefer to sit quietly near them, talk softly and let shy pets approach me on their terms 4. Exercise + enrichment (tailored to each pet) Dogs: walks, sniff time, fetch (if they enjoy it) Cats: wand toys, gentle play, window time I may suggest to keep sessions short if they get overstimulated 5. I like to help keep the home clean and safe by scooping litter boxes daily (sometimes twice per day), pick up wrappers or food items immediately, wipe paws if needed after walks, and keep doors locked and secure at all times 6. Respect their boundaries This is a big one for trust: I try not to force picking up or petting and watch for signs like tail flicking, hiding, freezing, or overstimulation. I let them decompress alone if needed. 7. I love the saying, “Leave things better than you found them” My fur friends owners say they appreciate: Clean bowls and litter areas, a tidy feeding/walking area, and the notes about how they did during the visit 8. I communicate clearly Send updates like: “Fed, walked, and doing well,” Photos (if allowed) and any changes in behavior or appetite

About: I am and always have been an animal lover. I was the kid who always brought home stray cats and dogs convinced my parents to keep them. I rescued my own first dog 8 years ago, rehabilitated and trained her (a 5-year-old pittie called Missy who sadly passed away a couple of years ago). Since then I have been dog sitting and dog walking for friends and family. I currently have a 6-year-old white fluffball of a cat called Jasper and I am also a volunteer with Seattle Humane. I am more comfortable with dogs who are past the puppy stage but am open to all ages (I've never had a puppy). I'm very happy to do meet and greets to ensure you feel comfortable about the fit. I’ll always share photos and updates so you know how your fur baby is doing as this is so important to me as a pet owner. I am currently not working full-time so I have plenty of space for helping out with your fur babies. I am available during the working week for dog walks and house visits, plus I can do short stay pet sitting. I prefer to sit in my clients' homes when they are away so that their pets stay in their normal routine and in the environment they know and are comfortable in.
“Leelay is great. She was kind, genuinely cared for our dog. She was great at paying attention to details. She was also committed and responsible, even during the days with the harsh snow and freezing rain.”

“Ana was very punctual and our dog was very happy to see her with each walk. She made extra efforts to help him adjust to his new schedule. We felt very grateful for her excellent care and communication”

“Denys has been walking my two dogs for a while now, and I can’t recommend him enough. He is caring, responsible, and my dogs absolutely love him. It gives me peace of mind knowing they’re in such good hands. He’s always punctual, communicates clearly, and goes above and beyond to make sure they’re well cared for and happy. He’s also very flexible, which we appreciate given our sometimes hectic work schedule. I would highly recommend Denys to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable dog walker.”

About: I make sure to match with the dog’s energy, depending on whether they want a walk, play, or just a steady presence. I provide updates with photos and videos so that you can see how your baby is actually doing. I’ll make sure to keep their tails wagging while their favorite human is away (and hopefully become their second favorite)! There is always at least a person in the house to take care of the pets, with the exception of a few hours if we go out together on evenings or weekends. I am personally available almost all day everyday to keep your dogs comfortable. As my dog and cat’s favorite human, I always make sure they are doing well and dedicated daily play time to each of them individually. I have a fenced background so the dogs can play outside as long as they want to. If I go to your house, I will also play with them in addition to feeding, taking them to potty, etc. I treat my pets as my babies, and will make sure your babies are also taken care of when you are not around.
About: I'm a pet sitter / house sitter, and dog walker. I have my own horse Shay, who lives in Bridle Trails, and I’d like to watch dogs and cats! I like walking dogs, throwing balls for dogs. I'd like to get my own dog someday, but Rover pet-sitting is a good way to hang out with dogs now. :) I'm a graduate student at UW. I work/study remote, so I can house sit and pet sit as long as you have WiFi. I can be around every 8 hours or so while housesitting. I'm active, I like to walk dogs. For dog training - I'm a horse expert, but a dog beginner / medium. I'm not a dog trainer, so I can't work with dogs with aggression issues. I can pet sit well behaved dogs, and energetic puppies are fine. I work and study from home- I’ll be away from the house for up to 8 hours at a time, when I ride my horse, or go in person to the UW. I follow the owners instructions on their pets! I like walking dogs, playing with dogs, hanging out with cats. I am not a dog trainer so I can’t handle the aggressive dogs. Well behaved dogs only please 😀

“Colin was an amazing help for us, allowing me to return to work at the office with a puppy safe at home. Not only does our dog Huxley love him, Colin is also a great communicator. He's always quick to respond and never hesitates to let us know if there's anything off during his visits. I highly recommend his services!”

“So lucky to have been referred to Jasmin, she takes such special care of my pup! Always goes above and beyond. You can tell she genuinely loves taking care of pets. It also felt good that she has so much experience with other puppies so she's kept Armin out of trouble and has actually helped improve his training”

Houghton dog parents share their Rover experiences
Emilia is great! Caring, reliable and professional. Rex couldn’t wait for his time with Emilia. She’s gentle, caring and natural with our Rex. She checks in with me for instructions and follows them strictly. She will be back to care for our Rex again soon! Thanks for everything you do for Rex. I know he’s safe, happy and loved while we are away.

Allie took wonderful care of my two dogs!! I booked with her last minute for some dog walking help while my partner was out of town. She was an excellent communicator and on time for every walk. One of my dogs is nervous around strangers, but my dog warmed up to her right away! My dogs were happy and tuckered out after their nice long walks.

We have had such a wonderful experience with Ellina. She’s been kind, caring and patient with Neo. She takes her time on her walks with him. Always give him extra time to sniff and explore. She is reliable and communicative. We never had to worry about her cancelling walks which is so helpful with our busy schedules and long commutes. I know Neo is in great care when she comes to help us. Highly recommend Ellina for dog walking in the future.

James is the best! He is so good with our Rex. I feel completely safe leaving Rex with James. Rex got lots of love, attention, great walks, and food. James even accompanied Rex while he eats, encouraged Rex to finish his food. James is always changing out Rex’s water bowl to make sure he has fresh water. He goes above and beyond to care for Rex. I feel so lucky to have found James for our precious boy Rex.

We couldn’t be happier with Sharee! She took Panda out three times for a full hour each time. Our dog came back happy and tired after every walk. It’s obvious how much care, patience, and love she has for dogs. She's reliable, punctual, and great at communicating (including sending pictures during the walk.) We would would highly recommend Sharee to anyone looking for an outstanding dog walker.

Abbi was the best dog walker I’ve had! I have an Australian Shepherd which are extremely high energy breeds. Everyday my dog got a walk from Abbi, the distance was always a mile at least, she left extremely thorough Rover cards with many pictures. The few times I was home when Abbi walked Raider, he was always so excited to see her and tired after his walks. Thanks again Abbi!

This was our first time using Laura, and she was absolutely wonderful. She is the sweetest, and we felt comfortable right away. We have a pup who can get anxious when meeting new people, and she took to Laura immediately which says everything. Laura was incredibly kind, patient, and clearly great with dogs. She’s also very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the process. We’re so happy we found her and will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!

Jessica was very nice and communicated with me very well. My first time using Rover and she kindfully answered all my questions which made me feel a lot better. She updated me every step of the way and sent me pictures which was very appreciated. Definetly recommend.
