February 2025 update: My husband and I work as a team to fill-in for bookings which may exceed absence times. Chances are I will ask that he join our meet and greet, or ask if he stay with your pet for the few hours I'm away. I'm very open about the details of my schedule. Please just ask! I'm only accepting repeat clients until summer! Please feel free to request with me as I can't change my settings yet- I'll be willing to book for summer ahead of time!

Please let me know if any special care is needed for your pet. Are they timid? Do certain things make them uneasy? And while I like to think I'm pretty strong, I'm only 130 lbs- something to consider for walking/handling! I'm unable to work with aggressive dogs as I'm not a professional.
A typical day
Depending on your instructions, I'll plan out a walk route and playtime at a nearby park, if applicable. Each dog is different, but if (s)he likes to run around, play fetch, or explore trails, we can do it all!

Pet care experience
I've been caring for dogs on a professional level since 2015, working for Big Paw Pet Care in Northern California, and running beginner dog-training classes at Petco. Recently I've worked for Petsmart as an Animal Care Specialist, making sure the store animals were in great shape! Needless to say, I'm pretty passionate about pet health! As of now I only have a Syrian hamster living in my apartment, but someday I'd love to once again experience the joy of having my own canine. For yours, I'll be sure to make sure they get a good walk in, or playtime, or just a simple pet and kind words, depending on your needs!

Sami is an amazing sitter! She took care of our 2 cats over an extended vacation and her thorough updates and great communication throughout really put our mind at ease. She even got our very shy cat to come out of his shell and enjoy playtime and cuddles! Highly recommend.
Sami went above and beyond to give our cats the best care possible. She helped take care of small extra tasks like watering the plants and checking the mailbox which was really helpful since we were gone for a whole month, and when one of our cats started scratching himself excessively, she helped us troubleshoot what might be wrong and started feeding him wet food daily which really helped him a lot. She always sent pictures of the litter box, water and kitties in the check-ins which really helped ease my mind that all was well so I could fully enjoy my vacation. Thank you so much Sami!
