About: I’ve been a mom to small dogs most my adult life. I currently have a chill 7 lb shih tzu mix that would love company on our two daily walks. I work part-time and am never away for more than 5 hours. (Often my college age son is home when I’m out) I’ve taken care of very young pups as well as older dogs requiring medications and special diets. I’m responsible and loving, doing my best to keep pups content while their people are away. I’m communicative and responsive and provide daily pupdates. I work three days a week for no more than 5 hours, so I’m home a lot. I have a 5 year-old shih tzu mix that I walk twice a day so I have a good routine established. My college age son lives with me and is super helpful and responsible. Generally if I’m out, he’s home to give extra potty breaks and belly rubs. My back yard is quite big and securely fenced-lots of room for sniffing! My house is cozy and comfortable-I’m happy to have pups on my lap on the couch and in my bed for the night.
About: Animals have always been an integral part of my life, since my family got our first dog Daisy when I was six years old. Daisy and I grew up together and I have been a passionate dog person ever since. I genuinely love caring for and hanging out with all types of animals, but dogs hold an extra special place in my heart. I see them as part of the family and believe they deserve to be treated to the best life possible and I love giving that to them! Caring for animals is extremely fulfilling to me and it truly makes me happy. I have the most experience handling smaller breeds but I am also comfortable handling medium sized dogs as well. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I am a full time stay at home mom which allows me to be very flexible with bookings. Available for a quick drop in or hanging out on the couch with your pup! We have ample indoor and outdoor space in our home for boarding services. We have a 13 year old corgi who can be separated on our lower floor if needed, otherwise she is happy to have a buddy to hang out with.

This was our first time using Melissa and we were delighted with the work she did to take care of our cat Woody. We received updates every day and while Woody wasn’t the friendliest she was observant about how much he ate and drank and use of the litter box. We will definitely become one of her regular's.
Billy visited our cat Woody and was very responsive and willing to care for him while we gone. He was quick thinking and creative when Woody wasn't so sure about him, and reached out to problem solve with us. He left everything tidy and checked in with us after his visits.
Much to our surprise, Christina was able to quickly befriend our very shy kitty, and are more social, but messy kitty. She left everything in pristine shape, and our girls seemed much calmer when we returned from our trip than they ever have in the past. Best pet sitting experience we've had in more than 20 years!

Shelby is an incredible pet sitter! While I was away, she took care of Juju (my little black cat) by feeding her, playing with her, and putting on cat tv. Juju is very shy and typically hides from new people, but Shelby’s kind approach made Juju feel so comfortable that she was out and even rubbed on Shelby’s legs when preparing her food.
