“Francheska was proacative to set up a meet and greet. She was punctual on the day of service and took lots of photos while caring for my pet. I would recommend her in the future and will reach out next time I need help!”

“Tim has been fantastic with Sofie! He’s great at communicating and sending updates during his drop‑ins. The photos he sends of her looking calm and happy show how much she enjoys spending time with him.”

“Brennyn was a great sitter, we had a last minute need and they available to check in on our cats while we were gone. The cats did well under Brennyn's care and we are so appreciative of their help!”

“Chris was great with our cat, Charlie! They were very responsive and provided excellent care as well as updates. Would definitely recommend Chris as a pet sitter and would love to have them look after our kitty again!”

“Francesca is amazing! She not only checked in on our baby but spent time helping her to learn commands! Cupcakke loves her and we will use her any time she is available! Highly recommend!”

“Sarah and George are such buddies. It is really amazing on how his attitude has totally changed. After a traumatic event with his last sitter I was leery in getting a new sitter, but Sarah has definitely won his heart. Hes playing again. He's loving being around people and other dogs again. Thanks Sarah for taking such great care of the love of my life!!!”

“Carianne was great. For the time she had, she was able to gain the trust of our pup, Kenji, who only trust his immediate pack. She also provided daily updates with pictures. She accommodated our every request. We were very satisfied with the care she provided to our very particular and picky dogs.”

About: I've loved and cared for dogs for 20+ years — and it's the senior and high-needs ones that have shaped me most as a caretaker. I've worked professionally as a dog walker and sitter, volunteered on a farm tending to sheep, pigs, and cows, and have logged years of animal care across a wide variety of contexts. My focus and true passion is senior and high-needs dogs. I currently care for Momo, my 11-year-old mini poodle rescue, who requires daily medication, mobility support, and consistent patience with separation anxiety rooted in past trauma. I'm fully comfortable managing medication schedules, specialized diets, and the kind of attentive, adaptive care that older or more complex dogs require. I also guided my previous dog, an Old English Sheepdog, through her full senior journey — including dementia-informed reactivity, significant mobility challenges, and all the nuanced day-to-day care that came with loving a big dog through her final chapter. I share my home with two poodles: Momo, and Stormy — a big, friendly 7-year-old standard who loves meeting new dogs and is equally happy to give them space if that's what they need. Stormy splits his time between my home and family nearby, so his presence varies by stay. I now work from home in a different field, and pet care is my way of staying connected to the animals I love. Your dog gets calm, present, unhurried attention from someone who is genuinely home — and genuinely invested. Senior dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs who need a little extra are especially welcome here! I work from home the majority of the week, so I'm present and available throughout most days. I'm typically in office one to two days a week — usually Wednesdays and/or Thursdays — for roughly 8 hours. Outside of those days, I'm home and attentive during business hours and fully available on evenings and weekends. I have a fully fenced yard, a one-story layout with no stairs to navigate — especially important for senior or mobility-limited dogs — and gate separation available so visiting dogs can be in the mix while still having their own space. Crates are available if needed. I keep pet cameras throughout the home so I can monitor remotely on the rare occasion I'm out. All dogs have dedicated feeding stations and I'm happy to accommodate varying meal times and dietary needs. Animal CPR documentation is posted in the home, an emergency vet is less than a mile away, and I have reliable transportation should anything come up.
“Lisa has checked in on Riley, 2 month old puppy, while I go into the office. She’s doing 2 visits a day until he’s a bit older. Prompt, communicative, and reliable. Riley likes her and all the belly scratches!”

“Karen continues to be an exceptional caregiver for our boy whenever we're away! Her reliability and attention to detail make her stand out as a top-notch cat sitter in West Seattle. Not only does she follow our detailed instructions flawlessly, but she also prioritizes plenty of snuggles and playtime, knowing how much our needy boy craves attention. Karen's daily photo updates and thoughtful messages truly ease the separation anxiety, allowing us to enjoy our time away with peace of mind. She's more than just a pet sitter – she's a trusted companion for our beloved cat. We can't recommend her highly enough!”

About: Since I was an infant, I've always lived in a house full of dogs. At age 11, I was gifted my best friend Jupiter (a sweet and loving Golden Retriever) and was taught how to be responsible for his care. Now (many years later), my sweet senior pooch Spot and I enjoy our time going for walks around the parks of Seattle or trekking into the mountains for awe-inspiring hikes. I have experience caring for large and small breeds, understand the TLC needed for senior dogs, have experience administering medications, and love taking walks both long and short for whatever needs your dog has! As a recent college graduate, my summer is fully open to accommodate days and times you require for your dog. We can schedule a routine visit if that is something you are needing! For each dog, I like to take time to learn how you prefer your dog to be walked, any rules or special needs they may have to best accommodate each dog. I believe every dog is unique and it's important to keep consistent with their commands as to not interrupt any training you might be working on with your best pal!
About: I’ve been a mom to small dogs most my adult life. I currently have a chill 7 lb shih tzu mix that would love company on our two daily walks. I work part-time and am never away for more than 5 hours. (Often my college age son is home when I’m out) I’ve taken care of very young pups as well as older dogs requiring medications and special diets. I’m responsible and loving, doing my best to keep pups content while their people are away. I’m communicative and responsive and provide daily pupdates. I work three days a week for no more than 5 hours, so I’m home a lot. I have a 5 year-old shih tzu mix that I walk twice a day so I have a good routine established. My college age son lives with me and is super helpful and responsible. Generally if I’m out, he’s home to give extra potty breaks and belly rubs. My back yard is quite big and securely fenced-lots of room for sniffing! My house is cozy and comfortable-I’m happy to have pups on my lap on the couch and in my bed for the night.
“Holly is amazing and is our go to sitter whenever we’re out of town. Our kitties LOVE her and I can tell they feel right at home when they’re in her care. They are always in such great hands when Holly is watching over them ❤️”
“Laura was easy to communicate with, she sent photos and notes of her time with our dog, and her gentle personality was a good fit for our pup, who is a little nervous. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Great communication. Played with our two big, energetic dogs the entire visit. They had so much fun. Will continue to leverage Timothy for drop-ins and look forward to his upcoming overnight stay.”

“Serena did a great job taking care of my fur babies. I booked pretty last minute for the holidays and was relieved to find such a caring and responsive sitter on such short notice. I’ll definitely rebook in the future!”

“Skippy was great -- came with all of the right questions for a sitter, took great care of Koufax, left the house in a great state. Could not have asked for more.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - White Center
I've always had a great experience with Maura. She is punctual and takes care of my cats really well. Both my cats are very comfortable around her (even my introverted and scared cat). I love that she sends a detailed message about the cats along with pictures after every check in.

Gillian was wonderful! It was her first time watching Niko and I won’t hesitate booking her again. Not only was Gillian responsive, attentive, and flexible, she is amazing at what she does and clearly has a passion for caring for animals. I knew Niko was in great hands the entire time I was away!

Liz was an incredible help with my cat Monty! Liz bonded with Monty very quickly. Liz also gave detailed updates, was prompt, and took care of everything that I asked. Monty was well cared for and I received several cute pictures each visit so that I could see how he was doing, which was reassuring. I highly recommend and will rebook Liz next time I leave town!

We had to leave last minute for a family emergency and Ivana was super helpful, responsive, and easy going. She was able to accommodate a meet and greet prior to us leaving. She was understanding with schedule changes too. I would highly recommend Ivanna for your sitting needs.

I'd give 10 stars if I could. Tyler & Alexis are so kind, attentive, and helpful. This is the longest we've ever left our Bengal cats for, and I felt so at ease knowing these two wonderful people were looking out for them. I know they were patient with my picky eater and were communicative about any one-off concerns (like surprise vomit). I feel so at ease with these two and recommend them highly for drop in visits, though they also offer other services.

We can’t thank Melissa enough for taking care of our house while we were away. Our kitty Woody had everything he needed including the voice of Melissa reading to him aloud. My plants were watered, mail collected and everything else that you would want to happen while away. Bravo Melissa. Job well done.
Timothy always goes above and beyond for us, like bringing in our packages even though we didn't ask (thank you Timothy!!). Our cat Pepper loves him very much, which is saying something because she is a very shy girl. We always feel good leaving her in Timothy's care.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in White Center. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
