“Madison is a gem! Professional, trustworthy, and a true protector for our dogs. She communicated beautifully throughout the week and handled everything with grace. Chacha and Khai were so well-cared for—we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!”

“Tim is great! He is a clear and proactive communicator who asked good questions, shared updates, and kept our sensitive dog happy and relaxed (while taking good care of our home). Would definitely book Tim again.”

“Lisa was great. Very communicative throughout her stay with our pup and sent pictures each day which is always a big relief! She left our house super clean which is also a lovely thing to come home to.”

“Tim was wonderful with our dog Atlas! We received thorough daily updates and pictures while we were away and came home to a spotless house and a healthy, happy, and relaxed dog. He took the time to get to know Atlas and treated him like he was his own. We’re so relieved to have found Tim!”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sarah. She took incredible care of our pup, Theo, and went above and beyond in every possible way. From the moment we met, I knew Theo was in the best hands. She was warm, attentive, and clearly experienced with dogs. Theo warmed up to her immediately. Throughout the stay, she kept us updated with daily photos, videos, and little notes about how Theo was doing, which meant the world to us. It was clear she treated him like one of her own. We’ll absolutely be rebooking and feel so lucky to have found her. Thank you again for taking such amazing care of our Theo Bear!”

“Hunter did a great job taking care of our pack. From our senior citizen back lab to our pibble to our feisty cattle dog, he was patient with all of them. Daily updates put our mind at ease. Will definitely use Hunter’s services again.”

“Joyce was an outstanding dog sitter and house sitter! She was communicative and accommodating, and made our travels less stressful knowing Archie and the house were in good hands. She was a fantastic guest and left our home very clean. We got pictures of Archie throughout the stay, enjoying his time on walks and playing with her dog Ilah. Highly recommend Joyce as a reliable and kind person to look after your furry friends!”

“Stuart took amazing care of my dog, Denali, while I was out of town. He was reliable, communicative, and clearly great with dogs. Denali loved him! I completely trust Stuart and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter.”

“They were AMAZING. This was our first time working with a sitter and our recently adopted dog has some behavioral and reactivity issues. They were so patient and understanding with us and him! Would absolutely recommend and can’t wait to use them again on our next trip”

“Grant is absolutely wonderful with my cantankerous Frenchie Fudge. He sends lots of pics and updates and takes care of Fudge like his own. We couldn't ask for a better sitter!”

“Cassandra was great! I knew she’d take good care of the pups when my anxious dog warmed up to her almost immediately at the meet and greet. She sent daily photos and left our place clean. Would definitely recommend Cassandra!”

“Ellie house sat and stayed with our sweet Luna over the weekend. We couldn’t be happier about the entire experience! From the meet and greet to Ellie’s communication, punctuality and responsiveness we give her a 10/10. She was respectful to the house and we could barely tell anyone was here. We’ll definitely be using Ellie in the future!”

“Law was a blessing for my dogs, and me! I just moved to a new place with a 7yr old chocolate lab, and a new 3.5month lab puppy. My personal friend who would house sit canceled, and Law was fortunately available. This is the first time I have ever used Rover, and the first time I have let someone stay with my dogs that wasn’t a friend. The day I inquired about booking, Law setup a time that same day to come over and meet my dogs. Throughout my time away, Law was always updating me and sending pictures and videos of my dogs. He took amazing care of my dogs, and I would be fortunate to have Law house sit my dogs again. From beginning to end Law was professional, personable, accommodating, and a wonderful new friend to my dogs!”

“Lucas was an amazing housesitter/dog sitter! This was our first foray into house-sitting, and Lucas has sold us on this for sure! Our dogs (who can be a handful) loved him, and we got daily updates. I can't recommend him enough!!”

“Cessily was great! She did a good job handling our nervous and leash reactive elderly dog. She sent regular updates and left the house in pristine condition. Would absolutely book again.”

“Did an amazing job watching my fur babies while I was out of town. Takes the cutest photos & provides consistent updates. It was reassuring knowing my dogs were in good hands, they were so relaxed and happy when I got home. Will definitely re-book!”

“It was such a peace of mind to leave my elderly dog in the hands of a vet pro while I went overseas. She took excellent care of the dog and my home. I’d give Gillian another 5 stars if I could.”

“Krystal was available and able to sit for me within a two day notice! I appreciated her prompt responses and flexibility to meet with me and sit so quickly. Krystal was punctual, friendly, and seemed very unphased by my energetic pups' greeting. The house was in great shape when I returned and the dogs seemed well taken care of. I would highly recommend Krystal!”

“Molly did a wonderful job watching our house, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and our patio plants for a week. She kept us updated on the pets daily, including photos, gave medicine as needed, and I will definitely hire her again in the future when we go out of town! Thanks so much, Molly!!”

“Stacey took amazing care of my dog Winston and my house while I was out of the country for a week. She was very communicative throughout the stay and sent regular updates of everything and pictures of Winston. Stacey instantly connected with Winston and I could not imagine him attaching to someone as quickly as he did with her. A great experience all around and I look forward to rebooking with her when the next opportunity comes up!”

Saba looked after my Staffy Akira while I was away over the 4th July, and I couldn't have asked for better care. With all the fireworks going off, Saba stayed right by Akira's side, keeping her calm with treats and plenty of love. I felt completely comfortable leaving Akira in her hands, she's sweet, attentive, and genuinely caring. I'm so grateful, and I'll absolutely be booking her again. Highly recommend!

Anna was the dog and house sitter of all sitters. Our Lady needs a slow intro and a little extra attention for her reactiveness on leash. Anna handled it like a pro. Asked all the right questions and kept them on their usual walk schedule with ease. She went above and beyond taking care of our home as well. Couldn’t be happier.

Molly was absolutely incredible! She took such wonderful care of my two dogs and my home while I was away, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She sent the sweetest updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind and made me smile every day. It was so clear how much she genuinely cared for my pups. The biggest surprise? Somehow Ella is walking so much better on leash now! I have no idea what Molly did, but it’s like magic. Walks are noticeably easier, and I’m beyond grateful. Molly is kind, thoughtful, trustworthy, and goes above and beyond. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pets like family. Thank you, Molly! 💛

Lucas was a fantastic first-time experience using Rover! Not only did he care for and comfort our barky and nervous dogs on the 4th of July, but he was super communicative, followed all the care instructions exactly, and took great care of our house, too! Normally, we come home from vacation, and the pups seem traumatized, but this time, they were happy to see us, but seemed ok! I will definitely book with him again! Also, he was just a genuinely nice person to meet! Thank you, Lucas!
Madison did such an amazing job caring for our dog Louie and our home! She was communicative and attentive to all Louie's needs and made everything so easy. Louie clearly had a great time and bonded so well with her. Plus, our home was spotless when we got back! Highly recommend, thanks Madison!

Ellie was awesome! She took care of our girl during July 4th, which is normally a stressful time for her. Ellie made sure was comfortable, there was background music, and our girl slept right through the fireworks! We returned home to a completely clean home and a happy pup! Ellie was also responsive and great with keeping us up today. Highly recommend - and thank you Ellie!

Alexandra is the best dog sitter ever! She is super kind, easily connects to dogs, and is a fantastic communicator. Our pup had such a great time with her! She took great care of our house and was just an all-around joy to work with. We will definitely be booking her in the future!

Zania watched our dog, in home, for a week while we went on vacation. She was a great communicator and we got super cute pictures of our little guy every day. She took hin for many walks, updated us on his behaviors, and Zania wasn’t afraid to ask us questions about his care. We hope she can dog sit for us again soon. 10/10 dog & house sitter.

FAQs for House Sitting - White Center
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in White Center on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 8,353 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across White Center. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred White Center walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in White Center maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in White Center choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in White Center. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
