“Madison has been absolutely amazing with my two big dogs—she’s done drop-in visits and a full day of house sitting, and every experience has been fantastic. She’s reliable, punctual, and incredibly communicative, always sending the sweetest photo updates that gave me real peace of mind while I was away. I especially appreciated how attentive she was to their safety, keeping an eye on chewed toys and making sure everything stayed in good shape. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, thoughtful sitter—I’ll definitely be booking with her again😌🐾🐾”

“We had a fantastic experience with Brandi as our Rover dog watcher. From the start, she was communicative, reliable, and clearly passionate about caring for dogs. She took the time to understand our dog’s routine, personality, and any special needs, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. Throughout the stay, Brandi kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which we really appreciated. It was clear our dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. When we returned, everything was in great shape and our dog was relaxed and content—a true sign of excellent care. We would absolutely trust Brandi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog sitter!”

“Timothy was great! We found him communicative, punctual, and polite. We appreciated the pictures of our pets while we were away and his flexibility made our trip more relaxed. Thanks!”

“Jenae stayed with Iris while we were out of town and we had a great experience! She was super responsive and communicative and flexible when Iris last minute needed to be give some medications while we were gone. Would book again!”

“Joyce is a gem. She was communicative, responsible, and left the house looking better than she found it. My pup is a mini Aussie and he loved having her Aussie stay with him. They seemed to do very well together. I felt so much relief knowing that my pup was being well-cared for while I was traveling. I will definitely use Joyce again!”

About: I provide reliable overnight care in West Seattle, Burien, Georgetown, and White Center. My own dog was dog‑reactive, so I’m very skilled at avoiding triggers, choosing safe walking routes, and keeping outings calm. I follow positive reinforcement and prefer walks, enrichment, and games over dog parks. I can be present almost 24/7 during stays, making me a great fit for anxious pets or dogs who need routine and consistency. Safety, communication, and comfort are my priorities. I work remotely, so your pets get consistent companionship throughout the day. I’m able to stay with them almost 24/7 during overnight sits, with just a short break of a few hours for errands. This makes me a great fit for pets who prefer routine, calm company, or someone who’s around most of the time. I keep feeding, medication, and walk schedules exactly as you outline, and I’m happy to adjust my workday around your pet’s needs. I care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, where they feel safest and most relaxed. I respect each animal’s boundaries and let them set the pace for interaction. My focus is always on creating a calm, predictable environment and keeping your pets secure, whether that means avoiding triggers on walks, maintaining their routines, or giving them space when they need it. Your home and your pets are treated with care, attention, and respect at all times.
“First time leaving our new puppy and 1.5 year old dog with a sitter- Hunter came out and did a meet and greet first to get the puppies acquainted. Received updates and photos. They were happy and tired when we returned. Great experience.”

“Stuart took amazing care of my dog, Denali, while I was out of town. He was reliable, communicative, and clearly great with dogs. Denali loved him! I completely trust Stuart and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter.”

“You know you have a good dog/house sitter when your neighbors who have three dogs text you this message: Hey unsolicited feedback that your dog/house sitter seems super consistent and reliable with Zoe. She’s here at the same times and overnight and walks her at the same times. Hope you’re enjoying wherever you are!!!! I’m not stalking her but just notice in my daily life. ? You will not be disappointed! The house also felt cleaner when I got home then when I left and my pup seemed very happy. Thanks Cassandra!”

“Grant is absolutely wonderful with my cantankerous Frenchie Fudge. He sends lots of pics and updates and takes care of Fudge like his own. We couldn't ask for a better sitter!”

“Love it every time Law comes and cares for my pupper. While he’s always glad I’m back, he never does as he normally does with sitters—not want to go outside and tends to go on hunger strikes. With Law, he eats, he goes for walks, he seems well cared for when I return. All good things…”

“Ellie helped me out tremendously when I contacted her just a half a week before I had to leave town for a work trip. She managed my 12 year old dog and 6mo. old large breed pup with grace and ease. I appreciated her daily check ins and pictures, and it was a relief to find someone trustworthy to stay in my home. Will definitely reach back out to Ellie with future booking requests!”

“Sarah is absolutely amazing! Great communication, so sweet and caring with Charlie, and left our home spotless. She kept us updated with lots of pics throughout the weekend. Would recommend her in a heartbeat! Thanks again, Sarah!!”

“Carrianne was fantastic with our two big boys. Great communication, cute pics from the visit, and overall she was just great to work with. I would recommend Carrianne highly!”

Hilary was great as always! We are always so happy to hear she is available to watch our pup, it takes a big weight off of our shoulders when we leave knowing she is in good hands. Hilary leaves the house spotless (which is not needed!) and we get lots of photo updates. Thanks again Hilary!
Desiree is a top tier sitter! Such a bonus that she's a vet tech -- Henley knows her from Urban Animal, and she was able to administer ear ointment when she noticed that his ear was bugging him (even though he can be pretty sensitive about his ears!) Highly recommend Desiree

Lupita was absolutely wonderful as we booked her last-minute before our 4-night stay away from home. She housesat for us, looking over our newly adopted puppy. We really appreciated her flexibility and her willingness to adjuster her schedule to fit ours. Since our puppy is still settling in with us, we had a few specific routines we wanted to stick to, and Lupita listened very well to everything we asked for. She followed all of our care instructions and was respectful of our space, leaving our home very clean when we returned! Most importantly, our puppy absolutely LOVED her and continued to gain his own confidence in his new space while we were away. It gave us a lot of peace knowing he was in great hands. We highly recommend Lupita!

Emily did a great job bonding with my sometimes shy kitty Charley. They were playing and cuddling together pretty quickly! Emily also looked after my very anxious foster kittens and kept everyone safe. She sent me regular updates with photos and took care of the house management tasks too.

Cynthia did a wonderful job watching my two senior kitties while I was away visiting family. She was attentive to their food and medication requirements and sent regular updates with pictures. I couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter! I was able to enjoy my time with family knowing my boys were in good hands.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred White Center walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in White Center maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in White Center choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in White Center. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
