“Alexis is fantastic! She took great care of my dog, and I trust her completely. She communicates well, and responds very quickly. It's easy to see she loves doggos. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have been a pet sitter and dog walker for 20 years taking care of a variety of pets, mostly dogs of various breeds, sizes, and ages. I have cared for many friend's pets as a house sitter, visitor, or home-away-from-home as well. I have had my own pup for the last 5 years, since she was 8 weeks old. I offer a consistent, loving attention and also maintain desired and safe boundaries. I am flexible in my time for care right now, already going for a long morning, afternoon, or evening walk with my own dog. I work remotely and flexibly otherwise. I take long walks with dogs or have them fetch balls in the long hallway of my home. There are snuggly nooks for dogs to cozy up when they get tired and a basket full of toys. Water is always available and I will feed your dog on the rhythm you have established with them.
“Ryan’s awesome and got Lu out of the house asap for us! Luna loves her daily walks and I’ve been out of commission for a bit so it was so nice to trust Ryan to deliver on giving her the best time!! Thanks Ryan it means a lot to us.”

“Adam was wonderful with our athletic two-year-old Golden Retriever! Our pup came back from his walk happy, relaxed, and wagging his tail. We’ll be rebooking as soon as we can. ?”

About: I grew up caring for animals and being around pets has always felt like home to me. I had my own dog for almost 12 years, and she was truly my little soulmate. We lived a really full, happy life together, and that love is what I now bring to caring for other people’s pets. I’ve watched dogs and cats for family and friends over the years and always treat them like my own, paying close attention to their routines, personalities, and comfort. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you’re away and for you to feel totally at ease. If you want someone kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in your pet’s happiness, I’d love to help 🐾💛 I currently work part-time, which leaves me with most of my days free to care for your pet and give them plenty of attention and the care they deserve. I have a fenced yard with space for your dog to roam. There are no other pets in the home. Your pets will be cared for with the utmost attention and love while they are with me!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I love caring for, watching, walking and playing with all cute furry babies. I am an active and remote worker so I love to help others by taking a chore away from their long hectic to do lists. I always make sure to be very careful, diligent and cautious about what animals are doing, eating, and what they’re interacting with. Safety first always.
About: I've cared for dogs and cats all my life, and I love building the trust to know each and every pet I meet. Throughout the years I have co-parented dogs, done myriad house sits for dogs and cats (through Rover, Trusted House Sitters and my own networks), as well as fostering cats. I'm an energetic, responsible, and intuitive caretaker, and look forward to meeting and connecting with your pet! My weekdays and weekends are currently very free and flexible. I am available for drop in visits, walks, and longer stays. I am up by 7am every morning and generally wind down by 9pm. Let me know what services you need in this time frame! Because I live with people who work from home, I generally cannot offer in-home care for your pets. Let's organize a stay at your home!
“We booked Laurie for a multi-day walk schedule and she was great!! Responsive and prompt communication, showed up on time for each walk and it was obvious that she is an animal lover who will take great care of your pet. She gave us a rundown after each walk and brought some enrichment games, but always checked with us to make sure we were okay with her plan - very responsible and respectful. Fred was STOKED to see her each morning and we will definitely rebook in the future. Bonus: Laurie has great taste in tv shows, evident from her dog Lazlo (not Jackie Daytona, regular human guy).”

About: I’ve spent years caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities, from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, happy, and safe while their owners are away. My background includes walking, feeding, basic obedience reinforcement, and giving medications when needed. What sets me apart is my calm, reliable approach and genuine love for animals. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and personality, so they feel relaxed and cared for just like they would at home. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, or quiet company, I make sure every visit leaves tails wagging and owners worry-free. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so my dog gets more than enough time to play and relax with me. He would love more company, too! I always follow their usual routine to keep things consistent and stress-free. I make sure feeding times, walks, and play sessions match what they’re used to, and I give plenty of attention and affection so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I also keep their space clean, send updates and photos, and pay close attention to any changes in behavior or appetite. If I’m hosting in my home, pets have a calm, safe environment with space to relax and play. I keep fresh water available at all times, maintain regular potty breaks, and offer daily walks or playtime based on their energy level. My goal is to make every pet feel secure, loved, and part of the family while in my care.
“As always, Andy was great with George! It made a huge difference knowing he’d be taken care of while I was out in the mountains. I was out of cell service (so I couldn’t get the notification the walk started), but I knew I didn’t have to worry with Andy! That allowed me to fully relax and enjoy my day.”

“Marcus came through for us in a last hour request. He has a pleasant personality and Bentley had a nice friend for the afternoon. I will be requesting his services in the future.”

About: I’ve cared for many different pets in the past and I absolutely adore them all. I’ve babysat many of my friends’ pets whilst they were away and have lived with dogs in the past. I’ve cared for dogs from all sizes with many needs. Recently, I was impacted by layoffs from my most recent 9-5 job so I’ve got lots of availability! I’ve been spending plenty of time going on walks around my neighbourhood and thought this could be an equally great opportunity to hop on Rover. Looking forward to hopefully meeting all of the sweet fur-babies! Recently got laid off, so I have lots of free time and I couldn’t imagine a better side hustle than hanging out with pets all day! I’ll be sure to pay extra attention to the instructions provided by the owners. Every dog is unique and has a different lifestyle of their own that they’re used to - just like us!

About: Professional dog auntie with excellent scritchers. Gentle and patient, but ready to play the alpha card as needed. Respectful of your training preferences and other boundaries. Can't host, but up for a drop-in or a local adventure. I'm a freelance writer and designer who works from home most of the time, so I'm using Rover to get outside and stock up on floofamine between projects. If we click and you're interested in arranging regular care, I'm happy to factor that into my schedule. I'll treat your home with professionalism and respect. Shoes off, notes read, and focused on making sure your baby gets the best care. And, of course, I'll share photos of our time together.
Atlantic dog parents share their Rover experiences
Charlotte did an amazing job with Maverick, who was very energized for his walk. She arrived promptly (with treats!), took Maverick on a long walk and he returned very happy. A huge help as I've not been able to exercise him enough due to my ACL injury. Definitly recommend!
