“I’m so thankful to have found Noah! He’s been so amazing with our big dog that after sitting him, we now ask Noah to regularly walk him. Great guy, reliable and so easy to communicate with.”

“Gabriel has been amazing with Murphy this week! He’s communicative and reliable. Murphy can sometimes be reactive or a little stubborn about walking, but Gabriel handled him so well and was very patient with him. I really appreciated the updates, photos, and extra care during the walks. As I’ve been working long days, I had a last-minute care request and really appreciated that he was able to accommodate it. It gave me peace of mind knowing Murphy was in good hands.”

“I'll try to plan better next time, but I really appreciate Laurel saving the day when I realized I needed someone to stop by with less than 24hrs notice!”

“Justin does a great job walking our two Labrador Retrievers. He is responsive, on time, and flexible - everything I was looking for in someone to walk them consistently! We will continue to use him !”

About: Plenty of love, snuggles, walks, and fun for your pup! I know how important it is to have trusting care while you are away - I do my best to provide a fun and caring attention for every pup in my care! For boarding in my home - Pups must get along with my Corgi (he loves to play and make friends!). Our house does not have a fenced yard, so dogs are always on-leash when leaving for walks around the neighborhood. We do have a cat, however the cat lives completely separate in the basement level of our house, and is not able to access the main floor where Rover pups (and our pup) will be. We regularly take Rover pups that do not get along with cats - there is no issue with this, with our setup for the cat being completely separated. My pup typically has 2-3 long walks throughout the day and then one last short walk before bed, and typically this aligns with most pups schedules but I can accommodate for additional potty breaks if needed. I do go in to the office Monday - Wednesday, and am gone for about 6-7 hours those days. I make safety a top priority! Pets are kept separated if I have to leave the house and there's plenty of walking before and after! I don't take pups to dog parks, instead I focus more on fun walks throughout the neighborhood/nearby parks and playtime in the house!
“Emily was wonderful with our two labs! she brought them back from their walk exhausted, just like we need 'em. She was great at communicating about the schedule and how the dogs went.”

“Jeffrey was very responsive, timely, friendly and communicative! Appreciate his extra attention and patience with our senior dog, and of course love the pics! Would love to have him again!”
About: Hello! I'm Shelby. I live with my dog, Maggie, and my cat, Neko (both senior gals), but I still gasp audibly every time I see an animal in the street. I know how scary it can be to be away from your pets, especially if you have to leave them with someone you don't know. I also know how important it can be to leave them with someone you really trust. I promise I'll take care of your babies like they are my own - and I'd love to send you a bajillion pictures of their adorable little faces, too. Rover is my full-time job at the moment! Please check my calendar to see what days I am available for walks, boarding, and other services. I live in an apartment in an older home in the Central District with a fenced yard. Please note I have an elderly cat and dog who are both friendly with other animals but fairly low-energy. My animals have mostly free reign of the apartment - they're allowed on the couches, beds, etc, but I try to keep my dog from going into the bathroom so she doesn't get into my cat's litter or food. As a house- and pet-sitter, I aim to treat your space and your animals the way you would - with respect, love, and care.
“Our Scout looooooves Lynn so much than when she sees her walking up our front steps she lets out a happy squeal, and is always very fulfilled when she gets home from walks. Lynn is very responsive and communicative, and attentive to any notes or instructions we provide.”

“Ryan’s awesome and got Lu out of the house asap for us! Luna loves her daily walks and I’ve been out of commission for a bit so it was so nice to trust Ryan to deliver on giving her the best time!! Thanks Ryan it means a lot to us.”

About: Personally I cant say what sets me apart. I'm sure there are lots of great sitters out there! Since growing up, I've had fish, cats, dogs, rabbits, and lizards. I currently don't have any pets, but have taken up every opportunity to help friends in need of a sitter. I'm a photographer, so the updates you get from me aren't blurry phone snapshots. You'll get real pictures of your dog doing normal dog things, and enough of them that you know how the day went. I let nervous animals come to me instead of pushing, and I pay attention to what's normal for them so I notice when something isn't. I follow your instructions exactly. Medication schedules, food amounts, which door they bolt out of, what they're not allowed to have. If you write it down, I do it, and if something's unclear I ask rather than guess. I'm currently unemployed, aside from the other gigs I do, so my schedule is very open. Rover wants at least 12 more words here, but I think the first sentence says everything. My schedule has many possibilities My apartment has a yard, though not fenced in. I have ample room so I can crate your pet if you have a crate for them.
“I went out of town for 6 days and Craig was able to walk, feed, and provide companionship for my dog. He was well liked by Obi and when I arrived back he was happy to show me Craig with his tail wagging. Craig provided exactly what Obi needed.”

Don't be afraid to ask me any questions! Im an open book when it comes to letting you know about my philosophy. I believe that safety is the #1 aspect of sitting/walking your pet so I will make sure they'll get home safe and sound! I hope you think that I'll be a good match for your fur baby! I’m on a flexible schedule so I am able to take my time with your pet(s). I want to make sure that your pet gets the proper enrichment that they need during the day I’m happy to come to your home and take care of your pet in their own space. I always want them to be as comfortable as possible. You are welcome to let me know what will help them for the day
About: I’ve helped lots of family and friends care for their dogs. Currently i have one dog and 3 cats that my roommates and I all care for. I have a background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) which helped me gain a lot of understanding for how modeling positive behaviors can pay off in all parts of life. I’m currently working part time until 2pm. On weekdays anytime after 2:15pm will be available as well as the majority of weekends. I’m very flexible and willing to help however I can. I have 4 pets at home and adding someone new into the mix can be stressful so I cannot host. However, I can pick up and play or take for walks.

“Lyric was available on very short notice, and was so helpful and thoughtful with our pups. She offered to fill water when she wasn’t asked, and complimented how cute our dogs are! Highly recommend her :)”
“Lisa treats my dog like her own! My pup LOVES to halt in the middle of grass and roll around, and Lisa engages with that and frequently stops and smells the roses together. I love how many pictures I get and how attentive and caring Lisa is.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Madrona
Mead did a fantastic job. She easily won over my 5 year old pittie mix and took really good care of her on walks. She was very knowledgeable about dog handling and behavior. She even started to teach my pup a new trick (spin)! Mead was also good with my elderly cat, who warmed up to her quickly. All-around wonderful experience. Thanks, Mead!

Roman was very comfortable with my reactive dog and very professional. It was my first time using Rover and I felt very at ease with how he communicated and just seemed so experienced with different dogs and behaviors. Definitely would be happy to hire him again.

Michael did a great job taking care of my dog Kit while I was across the country. I had never used a service like Rover before, and was nervous initially, but after a couple days I was completely comfortable, and would absolutely utilize Michael’s services when I’m out of the country in the future!
