“Lincoln’s dog walking needs changed several times while I was out of the country as I had friends helping with his care, and Brent was about to shift his walking schedule as needing quite easily. Always super easy to work with Brent!”

“Jen was fantastic in every way - reliable, responsive, flexible, thorough, communicative, and most importantly, so sweet and caring of our sweet dog. He developed a hot spot right before we left town, and she helped take care of that, taking his cone off for walks and then putting it back on again when they got back to the house. We couldn't recommend Jen more highly!”

“Gabriel has been amazing with Murphy this week! He’s communicative and reliable. Murphy can sometimes be reactive or a little stubborn about walking, but Gabriel handled him so well and was very patient with him. I really appreciated the updates, photos, and extra care during the walks. As I’ve been working long days, I had a last-minute care request and really appreciated that he was able to accommodate it. It gave me peace of mind knowing Murphy was in good hands.”

“Mary-Elizabeth was tentative to my dogs’ needs (corgis with back issues) and walked them nice and slow. She also picked them up to walk up and down stairs to protect their backs. My babies were very content after their walk!”

“Jana was great! She responded quickly, was understanding when my original plans changed, sent pictures, and was patient with my pup. Will definitely reach out to her in the future!”
“Lily did an amazing job walking Maverick. He was very energetic when he left and came back calm and happy after his walk. So glad that she will continue walking Maverick!”

“Justin was so great with our new dog who is very high energy and was just adopted, so he's still adjusting. Toby instantly felt comfortable with Justin and had a great time!”

“Sarah was amazing with my dog! He was very anxious and had some adjustment issues, and she communicated with me through it all and was very patient managing through it. I would highly recommend her!”

About: Hi there! I’m Laura, and I absolutely love taking care of pets. With years of experience in house sitting, pet sitting, and dog walking, I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I handle feeding, grooming, playtime, meds, and special diets with ease. While you’re away, I’ll keep your home safe and tidy so you can relax. I’m reliable, easy to talk to, and I'll always make sure your pets are happy and well-cared for. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily schedule as I pursue a transition from a career in engineering to a more creative field. It offers the flexibility I need while allowing me to support myself. Taking care of pets is a fulfilling and rewarding way to spend my time, and it brings balance to my life as I explore new creative opportunities. Plus, the joy and companionship of caring for animals provide a wonderful contrast to my previous work, making each day enjoyable and meaningful. In your home, I maintain the familiar surroundings your pet is used to, which can be especially comforting for them. I stick to their established routines and provide plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I also take care of basic household tasks like bringing in the mail, watering plants, and ensuring your home remains tidy and secure.
About: Background I was the primary care taker of my family dog since I was 13, including walking, feeding, training, and bathing him. I also trained 2 of my recent family’s puppies (pomeranian and poodle) during summer breaks. For the past 4 years in Seattle, I have been dog sitting my close friends’ dogs ranging from a small maltipoo to a fluffy golden retriever (my profile picture!). During college, I've also house-sat for staff with doggos and worked with small to large dogs at the shelter I volunteer at. I’ve been wanting to get a doggo for myself but still haven’t adopted one because I travel back to Indonesia pretty often. Typical Day for your Doggo I’m currently in starting a new job so I will have to be in person 2-3x during the week. If your pet can't be left alone for >8 hours feel free to check in whether i'm workiny from home or not that day. Otherwise, my routine will be adjusted according to your pets’ needs. I enjoy long walks myself so I will take the doggos to walk with me. I also love playing tug of wars and tennis balls fetch if they like that! In the weekends, I will probably out for a couple hours doing errands but other than that will spend lots of my time hanging out with the doggos! Living Environment I live in an apartment with a small unfenced grass area for potty. I don’t have any dogs but our place is dog-proofed since we dog-sit for our friends. My go to is cal anderson park but I love going up to greenlake, shoreline hamlin park, and some other parks around to take the doggos for walks especially for longer stays (if the dog is okay with drives ofcourse ☺️)!

“I'll try to plan better next time, but I really appreciate Laurel saving the day when I realized I needed someone to stop by with less than 24hrs notice!”

About: Hi! I’m Dawn. I’ve spent over 10 years professionally working with dogs in training, veterinary care, grooming, and enrichment-based pet care. More importantly, I genuinely love getting to know dogs as individuals. My approach is patient, science-based, and centered around what your dog actually needs. I believe walks should be more than just getting from point A to point B. I give dogs opportunities to sniff, explore, decompress, investigate their environment, and move at a pace that makes sense for them. Sometimes that means covering a lot of ground, and sometimes it means spending five minutes investigating one really interesting patch of grass. Both can be a successful walk! My training background is rooted in positive reinforcement and understanding canine body language. I’m comfortable working with shy, sensitive, excitable, strong, reactive, adolescent, and senior dogs, and I’m especially attentive to the little signals dogs give us before they become overwhelmed. I also have experience in veterinary settings, so I’m comfortable caring for senior dogs and dogs who may need a little extra patience or attention. Safety is extremely important to me, and I take handling, equipment, environmental awareness, and each dog’s individual limitations seriously. When your dog is with me, I want them to feel like they’re going on an adventure with someone they know and trust—not just being checked off a schedule. I love building relationships with the dogs I care for and figuring out what makes their tail wag, whether that's a woodland sniffari, practicing some fun skills, exploring a new trail, or simply taking a slow neighborhood wander. And yes—I will absolutely take too many pictures of your dog and tell you all about what they got up to. 🐾🌲 I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time to the animals in my care. Pet care is a major part of my day-to-day life, and I intentionally leave enough time between clients so visits and walks don't feel rushed. I'm available for regular weekly care as well as occasional visits, and I love building consistent relationships with both pets and their people. Safety and trust are extremely important to me. I have professional experience in dog training, veterinary care, grooming, and pet sitting, and I'm comfortable reading body language and adjusting my handling to the individual animal. I use positive reinforcement and science-based handling methods, and I take introductions slowly when a pet needs extra time. I carefully follow your instructions regarding leashes, harnesses, doors, feeding, medications, reactivity, and household routines.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - First Hill
Michael did a great job taking care of my dog Kit while I was across the country. I had never used a service like Rover before, and was nervous initially, but after a couple days I was completely comfortable, and would absolutely utilize Michael’s services when I’m out of the country in the future!

I’ve been so impressed with the care Echo has received. Her walker is reliable, communicative, and genuinely seems to enjoy spending time with her, which means a lot to me. The walks are thoughtful and thorough, I always get great updates and photos through Rover, and I never feel like the visit is just being rushed through to check a box. Most importantly, Echo absolutely loves her mid-day walk and is clearly comfortable and happy when Madison arrives. Having someone I trust this much with her has made the transition into a new work routine so much easier, and I’m incredibly grateful to have found such kind, dependable care for her.

Bret was so great with my girls! He came over a few days before to meet my dogs and see what needs to be done during his visit. He had great questions to be sure he provided exceptional care and you can tell he loved animals and they gravitate to him. His experience and knowledge with high energy and large dogs which made me feel so much more comfortable and excited to find someone I can trust with my girls! Will definitely be booking with Bret again!
