About: Hello! I'm Shelby. I live with my dog, Maggie, and my cat, Neko (both senior gals), but I still gasp audibly every time I see an animal in the street. I know how scary it can be to be away from your pets, especially if you have to leave them with someone you don't know. I also know how important it can be to leave them with someone you really trust. I promise I'll take care of your babies like they are my own - and I'd love to send you a bajillion pictures of their adorable little faces, too. Rover is my full-time job at the moment! Please check my calendar to see what days I am available for walks, boarding, and other services. I live in an apartment in an older home in the Central District with a fenced yard. Please note I have an elderly cat and dog who are both friendly with other animals but fairly low-energy. My animals have mostly free reign of the apartment - they're allowed on the couches, beds, etc, but I try to keep my dog from going into the bathroom so she doesn't get into my cat's litter or food. As a house- and pet-sitter, I aim to treat your space and your animals the way you would - with respect, love, and care.

About: Both my husband and I have hands-on experience as pet owners and frequent Rover clients! I’m from Utah and my husband, Ikumi, is from Japan, where I lived for 9 years. We actually brought our Golden Retriever, Arc, overseas with us from Japan, so we are incredibly attuned to keeping dogs safe and comfortable during big life transitions. Between the two of us, we’ve grown up with French Bulldogs, Labs, Poodles, and Australian Shepherds, giving us a great foundation for handling all different sizes and energy levels. Because we use Rover for Arc, we know exactly what pet parents want: excellent communication, lots of photos, and total peace of mind. We decided to become sitters because we simply love dogs and want Arc to have regular playmates. Whether your dog is young and playful or an older dog who just wants to lounge, we will treat your pup exactly like our own! Between my hybrid work schedule (three days in the office, two at home) and my husband’s evening part-time schedule working at MLB games, we have pet care completely covered! There is almost always someone at home, meaning your dog will rarely be without human company. For exercise, we stick to a great routine: we usually take Arc out for a dedicated hour-long walk together during the day, supplemented by reliable morning and nightly potty breaks. When your dog stays with us, their comfort and safety are our top priorities. We maintain a secure, clean, and entirely dog-friendly environment, and we always closely supervise playtime, especially as your pup gets to know our dog, Arc! Our philosophy is to let your dog set the pace and we will match their energy. If they are feeling active, we love bringing out the toys for a fun play session in the home. If they are older, anxious, or just want to relax, we are more than happy to just cuddle and chill. We strictly follow your specific rules and routines regarding feeding, treats, and furniture privileges to ensure a trustworthy, stress-free stay that feels just like their own home.

About: I have had dogs since I was a kid, I can navigate puppy-hood to senior care. I have experience with big and small, separation anxiety, on and off leash behavior issues. As for cats, I didn't find my feline affinity until a bit later in life. I had my own cat (miss him so!) and I have volunteered at PAWS Cat City for more than a decade where I assist with adoptions, cleaning, cat socialization and care. I currently have an ~20 year old foster cat named Leo. I'm so happy to have him around and to be able to help his family while they go through a period of transition. I even volunteer and help out with the care of local mini horses. Can you believe there are mini horses in the city?!? I have finite bandwidth but I will communicate clearly to be sure that I am a right fit for your pet. I am eager to help pet parents and provide quality care to their furkids. I live in Madison Valley and have a single family home with a completely fenced in back yard with lots of terrain and territory to explore.

About: I've been caring for my family's dogs and cats for over 15 years, including raising them from puppies and kittens through their senior years. I have experience caring for pets of all ages and personalities. For the past 8 years, I've also provided overnight stays and daily drop-in visits for the pets of friends and family. I currently work part-time at a restaurant from Saturday to Monday. This leaves me with lots of time on weekdays to provide all the care your pets may need! I'm reliable, respectful of your home, and pay attention to the little details, from feeding schedules and walks to playtime and medications. Flexible schedule (job search in progress), Uniquely experienced with multi-pet homes, insulin-delivery/diabetic care, all ages, sizes, special needs (medication, food, gates, routine, etc.), Latest Pet care: West Seattle home - 1 large dog with food allergies, 1 dog with vision impairment, 1 cat. This was then blended with 2 more cats! I love staying with this pet family for extended periods as they travel. Madison Valley afternoon walks for a small dog and a long-term stay for another dog. Lived with a family for a year in NY for pet-care. (1 large dog with dietery limitations and medication needs, 1 small dog with elderly accommodations I've lived with and assisted with care for housemate's pets the last 5 years I've lived in Seattle. I grew up with a dog and a cat and remember taking care of the neighbors cat since I was 10. I really miss my cat who lives with my sister - he's the one with diabetes. I would love to care for your fur baby! Gone dec-jan for surgery. After I will be available weekdays and some weekends with a flexible schedule while I apply for jobs (just finished my doctorate from University of Washington). I find success sticking to the animal's pre-existing routines. Fortunately I have a flexible job that allows me to adjust as needed for earlier/later feedings/walks.

He was fantastic, a great communicator, sent photos, updates and ask great questions up front since there would not be an opportunity for him to meet my dog beforehand to make sure they would be a good match.
