About: I took care of my family dog for 14 years up until last year when he passed away. I am looking to spend more time with dogs and love being around animals, so would love to help in any way I can - whether that's going on walks or pet / house sitting. My job is very flexible so I am available most times during the week and any times on the weekends. I can work around most schedules. I am respectful to any rules the owners set out ahead of time, and will only be in the pet's space as much as the owners would prefer.

About: Farm kid from Pennsylvania here! I grew up taking care of everything from dogs and cats to piglet runts, cows, chickens, and yes — a pet raccoon. If it had fur, feathers, or a heartbeat, I was probably looking after it. Your pet's in experienced (and genuinely animal-obsessed) hands. I'm currently between design contracts, so I have plenty of flexible time — perfect for daily play, drop-in sits, or extended boarding whenever your cat needs me. In my home, my responsible, loving 8-year-old happily plays with visiting pets. I keep cats safely indoors, offer healthy treats, and give them affection and attention all day.

About: I’ve adored dogs my entire life. I was actually the only kid in my family who successfully begged my parents into getting one! Since then, dogs have been an integral part of my life. I grew up with a German Shepherd, Rouby, and later adopted Radar, my Great Dane/Husky mix, who was my constant companion through college and grad school. Having lost Radar this past Feb., I really miss the daily routine, walks, and presence of having a canine around. I regularly watch my friends' dogs when they head out of town, but I'm on Rover to meet even more local pups and help out nearby owners. I live in a cozy apartment right in Capitol Hill and love taking dogs out for long walks around the neighborhood. Because I work with one client at a time, your dog will get full 1-on-1 attention, plenty of affection, and a comfortable, quiet place to relax. I'm comfortable with dogs of all breeds and sizes, from gentle giants to small pups. I’d love to host your furry companion for a stay or take them out on a walk! I’m currently employed by the Quileute Tribe working as a Natural Resources Planner. Working from home, my schedule is very flexible for long walks and doggy visits. I have a fenced in porch and a 1 bedroom apartment in the heart of Capitol Hill near the light rail station. Your pup is welcome on my couch, to hang on Radar’s dog bed on the porch, or sleep and relax in my bedroom.

About: Most sitters are dog people who also take cats. I'm the other way around. My first cat was Peelu, named for the yellow spots he had, and I've been around cats ever since. Four years of sitting has taught me that every cat runs on its own system, and my job is to figure out yours quickly and then stay out of its way. Some cats want you to leave the room before they'll touch their food. Some need about ten minutes of being politely ignored before they'll come out from under the bed. Some will tell you very clearly that the water bowl is six inches from where it should be. I pay attention to that stuff. I'm comfortable with medication schedules, litter boxes, and shy cats who hide for the entire first visit. You'll get photo updates every time, including the ones where your cat looks deeply unimpressed with me. I do drop-ins and house-sitting around North Capitol Hill, so I'm usually a short walk away. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can do drop-ins in the morning, midday, and evening without rushing. Weekday middays are wide open, which is usually the hardest slot for owners to fill. I'm also around most weekends. For housesitting, I'm out of the apartment part of the day but home most evenings and overnight, so your cat gets company at the hours that matter most to them. I keep my Rover calendar current and I'll tell you upfront if I can't make a schedule work, rather than saying yes and figuring it out later. I only care for cats in their own home, which is where cats do best. A new environment stresses most of them out more than a few hours alone does, so I come to them. Drop-ins: I follow whatever routine you already have rather than inventing my own. Fresh food and water, litter scooped every visit, medications on schedule, and play or lap time depending on what your cat is actually in the mood for. I check doors and windows before I leave every single time, and I keep an eye on the things that tell you a cat is off: appetite, litter box output, hiding more than usual, any limping or discharge. If something seems wrong, you hear from me right away rather than at the end of the week. Housesitting: Same routine, plus I'm there overnight. I'll bring in mail and packages, alternate a few lights, and generally keep the place looking lived in. I treat your home like a place I'm a guest in, not a place I'm staying at. No guests, and I leave it the way I found it. Before the first booking I'll ask for your vet's info, an emergency contact, where the carrier is, and anything specific I should know: escape artists, cats who bolt for the door, food aggression between housemates, or a cat who needs to be left alone more than most.

About: I have experience with many types and sizes of dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs, including special needs. I have also house sat for many years too. My weekly schedule is very flexible which then I am able to prioritize caring for your pets so that they are safe and well taken care of while you are away! I have a fenced yard and one small dog to provide company for your pet. For cat services, I can make sure that my dog isn't around when taking care of your pet.

About: I’m someone that’s great with dogs. One of my favorite dogs I’ve looked out for is a pit bull and my experience with such dog makes me unique. I’m looking to make my runs more interesting and tagging along a dog on my runs will make it more of a fun experience for me. I enjoy being around dogs and soon I’m looking to have my own. With this experience I’ll gain more knowledge about different types of dogs which would make my process easier when it comes time for me to decide what dog id want to own in the long run.
