20. Sean & Aziyadé W.
About: Hello! I’m Sean, a lifelong animal lover with 27 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and other animals. I’ve had the privilege of sharing my life with dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors, and understand how much trust it takes to leave your beloved pet in someone else’s care. For four years, I volunteered as a dedicated dog walker and carer at the San Diego SPCA, where I fed, walked, trained, groomed, and comforted shelter dogs. I also completed multi-week training sessions on reading dog body language and behavior to better support dogs in stressful situations. In my own life, I’ve raised puppies, adopted and rehabilitated a rescue dog from a hoarding situation, and cared for my first four dogs through their senior years — helping them through seizures, administering medication, building ramps, and assisting them with harness walks. I know firsthand the patience, compassion, and attentiveness that every stage of a dog’s life requires. I’m comfortable caring for multiple dogs at once and have experience pet sitting in multi-animal households (dogs, cats, birds, turtles, and fish). My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible — both for you and your pet. I’ll be sure to send regular updates with pictures and messages if you’d like them — or simply let you relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m currently pursuing my second bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering and spend most of my time at home studying. My wife, who is also a Rover sitter, may accompany me on visits only with your prior approval — otherwise it will just be me caring for your pet. I take the responsibility of caring for your pet seriously, and I’ll treat them as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! The longest your pet would be alone is five hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you'd prefer your dog not be left alone for those hours, my wife would be happy to spend that time with them — but only if you're comfortable with that arrangement. She has had her background check on Rover and is a Rover sitter as well. Starting April 9th, my in-person schedule is: Tuesday: 12:30 pm – 4:20 pm Wednesday: 12:30 pm – 3:20 pm Thursday: 12:30 pm – 4:20 pm Friday: 2:30 pm – 3:20 pm Outside of these hours, I am home studying and available to provide attentive care and companionship. My training style has always been rooted in positive reinforcement. In my own home, I've always been a loving and doting pet parent — as you can see in my photos, I like to get down on the ground to join dogs on their level and make them feel safe and comfortable. When I pet sit, I follow the owner's style and carefully read each pet's body language and emotional cues. My training at the SPCA focused on identifying even the most subtle signs of stress and how to ease a dog's anxiety. As I will be caring for your pet in your stead, I don't plan to make any changes to their routine or the level of attention they're used to. I look forward to following your instructions to the letter. I'm happy to provide photo and message updates as often as you'd like — or simply let you relax, knowing your pet is in good hands. If you need your plants watered or any small household tasks handled, I'm more than happy to help. Your home will be just as you left it — and quite possibly even cleaner! Saying goodbye to your pet will always be bittersweet, but I truly enjoy witnessing the heartwarming reunions between owners and their pets after a job well done.
