“Davis was fantastic with our dog, a 75 lb mixed breed. She is very anxious when we leave her with a sitter. She’s also sometimes stand offish with men she doesn’t know, but she liked Davis immediately when we met him in a meet and greet before our trip. Davis’ calm, confident way with dogs put us at ease, and we felt comfortable leaving our pup with him for a full week. A few days before our trip, our dog got a dog bite that got infected, so we had to leave her with new medications and care instructions. Davis handled everything with no stress, made sure she got her medication, and took great care of her while she healed. We came home to a happy, healthy dog and would absolutely hire Davis again and recommend to others.”

About: Cats have been my world since I was born. Every baby crib photo I have is accompanied by a cat (usually a giant orange one). The thing I love most about them, is their communication. Every meow style says something different, every chatter or chirp, every tail whip or flick. We all know our cats tells, without them making a sound and I just find it so fascinating. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since a was young and love being around them! I’ve also trained a few of my family’s puppies. My older dog recently crossed the rainbow bridge, so I have extra snuggles to give your dog! I am used to potty accidents or dribbles in the house after having an older dog. I currently work 12 hr shifts at UWMC so I have blocks of days off depending on my schedule. My husband works from home and was previously taking care of our chihuahua when I was at work, I love playing fetch at the dog park and going on walks. If your dog wants to stay the night, no problem! I have extra dog beds and toys to make your dog comfortable, except for rawhide or other bones. Dogs are allowed on the couch and can sleep at the end of the my bed. I’m also able to give your dog any medication or special diet if necessary.

About: I grew up with pets, from large to small. My sibling and friends always rely on me fostering their dogs and cats. I work from home and won’t leave your pets alone. My husband and I work full time from home, so your pets will always be attended to. They will pretty much hang out with us while we go about our day. My husband starts walking all of the dogs at around 8am. I will open my fenced yard at midday for a midday pee break. My husband will come back at around 6:30pm to give all of the dogs another walk. We usually feed the dogs their morning and evening meals after they come back from their walks. We will open the yard again before bed for a late night pee break.

About: We're young professionals living in Cap Hill with several years of dog-care experience. We started sitting through Rover 3 years ago and have since added our own dog to the mix! Oliver is a 2-year-old mini poodle who we rescued just over a year ago. PLEASE NOTE: To make sure your pup has a comfortable stay, we require a meet-and-greet playdate prior to booking. We want to make sure that we are a good fit for your dog's needs! While we love all our furry friends, due to allergies in our family we are only able to take low-shedding, hypoallergenic dogs right now. One of us works from home, so your pup will get attention and care throughout the day. We like to start and end our days with a long walk in Volunteer Park. Oliver's other favorite activities include sleeping on the couch next to me while I work or perched on the back of couch, where he can look out the window and get a great view of all the neighborhood happenings. Your pup would be cordially invited to do the same! We use positive reinforcement training with Oliver and bring treats on all our walks to reward good behavior. If there are specific behaviors you want us to upkeep during your pup's stay, please don't hesitate to let us know. We know what a bummer it can be to have to retrain behaviors after just a few days away! We can't wait to meet your pup and make them feel at home during their stay! One of us works from home full-time and will be around for all your dog's needs. We typically start and end our day with a walk in Volunteer Park. Oliver will be happy to show your pup all his favorite spots to sniff! We take great care to make sure that all your pup's needs are met! About: I learned how to care for dogs when I found my soul pup as a 19 year old college sophomore. About: I've been watching friends and neighbors pets casually for the past 5 years or so. This includes dogs, cats, rabbits, and fish. I have the most experience with cats--feeding them medicine, special foods, scooping liter boxes of all shapes and sizes, and dialing in on their favorite toys. I have experience caring for dogs (walks, feeding, belly rubs, poop wrangling) but if the dog is high stress or has behavioral issues it would be best to go with a more experienced dog person--want to be transparent about that, it's best for everyone. I have a flexible 9-5 work schedule and can pop in to visit pets in the Eastlake neighborhood Tuesday-Fridays. My weekends are also quite flexible to visit pets or stay overnight with pets in North Capitol Hill. I closely follow the rules and guidelines set up by the pet owners when I care for an animal. The safety and comfort of the pet is my utmost concern. I love animals and I want them to feel that they are in the care of a trustworthy person while their people are away. I am happy to communicate with pet owners and much as needed.

“Davis was fantastic with our dog, a 75 lb mixed breed. She is very anxious when we leave her with a sitter. She’s also sometimes stand offish with men she doesn’t know, but she liked Davis immediately when we met him in a meet and greet before our trip. Davis’ calm, confident way with dogs put us at ease, and we felt comfortable leaving our pup with him for a full week. A few days before our trip, our dog got a dog bite that got infected, so we had to leave her with new medications and care instructions. Davis handled everything with no stress, made sure she got her medication, and took great care of her while she healed. We came home to a happy, healthy dog and would absolutely hire Davis again and recommend to others.”

They shared a ton of pics and videos of Babu playing and then dozing off exhausted from the fun.
