“Jerica and Nori were amazing! Nori was playful and accommodating with a new dog on his turf and he and Toby played so well together! I got lots of photos and updates from Jerica during Toby’s stay and it was clear Toby had a great time and was well cared for. Highly recommend Jerica! We will re-book in a heartbeat!”

“Ana was absolutely amazing. As someone who misses their pup while traveling, Ana was a dream sitter. Always sharing quick check-ins with photos so I knew my pup was doing just fine. She even took the time to read my dogs profile and understand her little quirks. When I had travel delays she was super communicative, and flexible. From meet & greet to pickup, I had a great experience with Ana, and would definitely recommend.”

“I am so grateful to have found Ponyo to care for our dog, Tycho, and could not recommend her more. After our previous sitter had to cancel due to a family emergency, she graciously stepped in. We have a separation anxiety pup, and Ponyo did an amazing job helping him to feel comfortable, and also meeting him where he was at. She is was very attentive to him, keeping a close eye on his behavior and interactions with the other dogs, letting him be her carpool sidekick for after school activities, and providing ample walks throughout the day. She also gave us many updates each day about how he was doing. It gave us a lot of peace of mind while traveling. Again, so grateful, Ponyo was an amazing caretaker to our buddy boy!”

“Tianci was an amazing host for Cannoli! The level of care and attention to detail that she and her husband gave during his stay was nothing short of impeccable. They took Cannoli on tons of walks, showered him with toys and treats, and gave him an adorable bath and spa-treatment. I highly recommend Tianci as a sitter!!!”

“Anna was great! She was really communicative and so accommodating, especially on short notice. Dakota warmed up to her quickly and also got along really well with her dog, Cooper. I felt completely comfortable leaving Dakota with her and would definitely book with Anna again.”

“100% would book again. Adam was very patient and understanding. I have a VERY rambunctious and excited husky and chose Adam because he had raised a husky and knows the breed. He was on time, asked all the necessary care questions and made me feel confident that Riku was in good hands. Riku came back happy and I was able to have a nice night out with no worry.”

“Lucy loved her time with Casey and Ron. She got tons of love and activity and came back home super happy. Now she pulls towards their house when we go for walks. 10/10 would use again.”

“Dani and Joy were lovely to work with and they really looked after our dog. They had another little dog staying with them too and were so thoughtful about introducing them to one another and went to great lengths to make sure our dog (and we) would be comfortable with the arrangements. They sent pictures and kept us updates regularly which I always appreciate. They clearly love looking after dogs! I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.”

“Katelyn was very sweet, clearly a cat person, and patiently let the cats come to her first. During the stays she was very attentive to them and they took to her very well. Got great pictures and would book again. Thank you!”

“Carly was amazing! Very flexible as I had to schedule the visits last minute. Excellent communication and she took lots of photos of my two boys! Very grateful to know they were taken such good care of while I was away. Will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Elizabeth did a great job taking care of our two cats, including administering medication to one of them. Both of the kitties were calm, happy, and well-fed when we returned from our trip :) I would definitely hire her again!”

About: I grew up helping care for our family cat for about 10 years, and I still care for my mother’s cat when she travels. My experience includes feeding, preparing specialized diets, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, playtime, companionship, and keeping a close eye on changes in behavior, appetite, or bathroom habits. I understand that cats have very different personalities and boundaries. Some want constant attention, while others prefer to observe from a distance before deciding whether you have earned their trust. I follow each cat’s routine and let them set the pace without forcing interaction. I am also careful about the home environment, including securing doors, checking food and water, keeping litter areas clean, and making sure anything unsafe is out of reach. I provide clear updates and photos so you know how your cat is eating, behaving, and adjusting while you are away. I would happily have a cat of my own, especially a Sphynx, but my German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois have other opinions. Caring for other people’s cats gives me the opportunity to enjoy their company while providing the reliable, attentive care I would want for my own pet.
“Sami was so great with my kitty on my first long trip, I wasn’t worried about her at all and she kept me updated with all the happenings at home with her. Very happy thank you Sami!”

“Noele was awesome! It was my first time boarding Franklin and she was so thorough, had great communication, and overall took wonderful care of him. Highly recommend her to anyone in need of a cat sitter!!”

“Maria has been SO wonderful with my baby buddy Pocari. She is incredibly in-tune with cats' needs, and has even gone as far as recognizing the signs of urinary crystals for my cat when I was out of the country. Time and time again I have been so thankful for her wonderful pictures, her genuine love for my cat, and her incredible knowledge about feline-kind in general.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was young, and would often watch after my friends and neighbors cats. I’ve taken care of kittens and senior cats as well, some with special diets and feeding schedules. I will ensure that both the car and your space is well taken care of.
“Erin was an amazing sitter!! She took such good care of our kitties while we were out of town, and our shy guy came down to hang out with her (usually he hides if we aren't home). We would highly recommend Erin for anyone looking for someone to take great care of their fur babies while they're away. Thanks so much, Erin!”

“Isabella did a great job with our two kitties. One is very shy and requires medications and she warmed up to Isabella very quickly. We will definitely be asking her to sit the girls for us again!”

“Laura was able to cat and tortoise sit for us with just a few days notice. Both animals were very content when we arrived back home and she sent lots of photos to keep us updated. We will definitely have Laura back in the future.”

“Caroline was great. From getting all the logistics figured out of a meet & greet, intentionally asking questions that let me know she's aware of cats and their nuances, having excellent communication, to the actual care of my cat, I was very pleased. It's clear she knows and loves cats which was very important to me. She played, sent photos, and was always easy to get a hold of. Thanks Caroline!”

“Our two cats loved Olena! She’s been amazing to work with: responsive, kind and detailed with the visit reports. I’d be happy to trust her with our cats again! Thank you so much, Olena!”

“Erica was incredible with my higher need, anxious golden! She was very understanding of her food allergies and patient when she had separation anxiety! She sent multiple updates & kept me informed throughout the stay. Will be staying with her again!”

About: I grew up with pets, from large to small. My sibling and friends always rely on me fostering their dogs and cats. I work from home and won’t leave your pets alone. My husband and I work full time from home, so your pets will always be attended to. They will pretty much hang out with us while we go about our day. My husband starts walking all of the dogs at around 8am. I will open my fenced yard at midday for a midday pee break. My husband will come back at around 6:30pm to give all of the dogs another walk. We usually feed the dogs their morning and evening meals after they come back from their walks. We will open the yard again before bed for a late night pee break.
“Such great pics and communication. We really appreciated being able to drop our pup off early and for the park meet up ahead of time. Thank you so much!!!”

“Zhongni was reliable, attentive, and took great care in creating a fun and comfortable space for Benji. I appreciated the walks and photo updates. Benji was sad to leave! We hope to see Zhongni again soon!”

“Devan was awesome! Great communication and a natural at connecting with dogs and keeping them engaged. Benji did not want to leave! We hope to see Devan again!”

“I had a last minute need and it couldn’t have been better than with Ponyo! My Lab, Birdie, was so happy, cared for, and loved on by the kids (which she couldn’t get enough of)! I received so many updates and pictures, which was so great to know how things were going! Don’t hesitate to book with Ponyo for your pup! I will be rebooking for sure!!”

“Mariia did a lovely job watching our dog. She is such a professional - asks all the right questions, communicates well, and provides a great experience for the pup. We were very happy to have her look after the big guy for an afternoon and were really pleased! We highly recommend her.”

About: I may be new to Rover, but I’m far from new to caring for dogs. I’ve spent years looking after my own pup and pet sitting for friends and family, all out of a genuine love for animals. For me, this isn’t a side hustle; it’s something I truly enjoy. I have a Shih Tzu of my own named Cooper, who is my whole world. When it comes to walks, I’m a firm believer in dog-centered outings. Want to sprint? Let’s go. Need five minutes to thoroughly investigate that one bush? Take your time. We move at your dog’s pace, in your dog’s direction, because that’s what makes a walk genuinely enriching, not just exercise. Your pet will get plenty of love, attention, and cuddles. I’ll treat them exactly like I treat Cooper, like family. You can expect regular photo updates if I’m watching your pup, I know firsthand how hard it is to be away from your baby and how it can put a damper on your trip thinking about them missing you. I work from home full-time, which means your pet gets attention throughout the entire day, not just before and after a 9-to-5. No long stretches alone, no waiting until evening for a walk. I’m based in Lower Queen Anne and live in a cozy apartment with my boyfriend and our Shih Tzu Cooper. No children, no yard, but don’t let that last part worry you. Cooper and I do at least one 2.5-mile walk every day, and if I’m watching your dog, they can expect the same. Queen Anne has wonderful walkable streets and green spaces, so there’s plenty to explore.

About: Farm kid from Pennsylvania here! I grew up taking care of everything from dogs and cats to piglet runts, cows, chickens, and yes — a pet raccoon. If it had fur, feathers, or a heartbeat, I was probably looking after it. Your pet's in experienced (and genuinely animal-obsessed) hands. I'm currently between design contracts, so I have plenty of flexible time — perfect for daily play, drop-in sits, or extended boarding whenever your cat needs me. In my home, my responsible, loving 8-year-old happily plays with visiting pets. I keep cats safely indoors, offer healthy treats, and give them affection and attention all day.

About: Hi! I’m Samira, and I provide a safe, loving, and active home for dogs while their owners are away. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so your pup gets plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. They’ll go on 2–3 walks a day, and I’ll send you plenty of photos and updates! We have a large fenced outdoor area, and daily walks, playtime, and exercise are part of our routine. I have a sweet 3-year-old Australian Shepherd named Sailor, who I’ve had since he was a puppy. He loves other dogs and people and is always excited to have a new friend around! I also have experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels. Whether your dog loves long walks and playing fetch or prefers lounging on the couch, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home while you’re away. I have a very flexible work schedule during the week, which allows me to provide frequent dog walks and potty breaks. I also currently have an active dog, so caring for another animal is easy for me since I already follow a consistent routine with him. I follow the instructions you leave me and take that seriously. Reactive dogs are not a good match for me, I’m so sorry, and they must get along with my dog. Let’s link up and have the pups meet and go over your dog needs!
“Luciana was an absolutely superb caregiver for our pup! She was so flexible/accommodating of very last minute booking. She has a beautiful home minutes walking distance to Climate Pledge. Will definitely be returning!!”

“Thư was great with our dog, kept him engaged and entertained and kept me updated with photos and videos. The dog was very quickly comfortable with her and was sad to see her walk away when I picked him up. A really good sign that he enjoyed his stay. We’ll definitely book with her again!”

“We booked Felix on short notice for evening daycare, and he was very thoughtful in assessing whether our dog would be a good fit for his setup. We really appreciated the detailed updates and feedback throughout the stay. Felix has a strong understanding of dog behavior and group dynamics, which gave us peace of mind, and our somewhat nervous dog seemed to fit right in with his pack. Thanks Felix!”

About: Several years of watching friend's and family's dogs and cats! Have fostered dogs and I nursed my rescue puppy back to perfect health. I have had her for 4 years now. I work from home, so I can provide attention to your dog all day! We are very active, with multiple walks a day around the city, off leash dog parks (if you are ok with it), and weekend visits to bigger parks! I am flexible with dropoff and can even provide pickup/dropoff within a reasonable distance of Seattle. I will tailor my schedule to accommodate your pup's bathroom schedule. In my home, the dogs are allowed everywhere. I can crate the dog if necessary. We can do a meet and greet so that your dog can get comfortable with me and my pup. I will tailor my care to your pup!
“Shu was great! Fig is a little timid around people but took to Shu right away! She stayed at her apartment for the day and got to play with some pups while visiting. She came home happy & tired 😊”

“Judy was very easy to communicate with and sent me updates along with photos. She was very considerate of giving Jona time and space to adjust to his new surroundings during his first visit with her and Louie. He and Louie got along well too. Jona was happy and calm when I picked him up.”

“Jade was great with my pup! She sent pictures and updates throughout the day. She hosted daycare for my puppy two days in a row and upon drop off on the second day, my pup was excitedly wagging his tail in greeting. My dog thoroughly enjoyed playing with her two dogs, demonstrated by how he got home and promptly napped!”

About: My husband and I live in North Capitol Hill with our Malinois and German Shepherd. As the owner of a dog I trust with very few people, I understand how stressful it can be to hand someone else the leash or access to your home. My goal is to work closely with you, follow your instructions carefully, and make sure your pet is treated with patience, attention, respect, and genuine affection. My strongest experience is with large, intelligent, high-energy dogs. I have raised both of my dogs from puppyhood: a German Shepherd and an 85-pound rescue Belgian Malinois with anxiety and reactivity. Caring for dogs who are strong, athletic, sensitive, and constantly thinking has taught me patience, consistency, calm handling, and how to anticipate problems before they happen. I regularly walk both dogs together, managing nearly 200 pounds of energy, strength, and occasional squirrel chasing. On walks, I am fully present and not distracted by my phone. I continually monitor for approaching dogs, traffic, cyclists, tight spaces, environmental triggers, and safe alternate routes. I understand that responsible handling often means preventing a difficult situation instead of waiting until one has already developed. That same awareness carries into the home. I am used to dogs who can open doors, get past barriers, jump onto counters, move large objects such as trash cans, and reach hazards that many people would never anticipate. I carefully check for medications, food, trash, unsecured doors, and anything else a curious or determined pet might access. With smart dogs, the smallest overlooked detail can quickly become a much larger problem. My experience also includes: • Puppies, including house-training routines, frequent potty breaks, consistency, and managing chewing or mischievous behavior • Senior dogs who may require a slower pace, extra patience, mobility accommodations, or closer observation • Anxious and reactive dogs who benefit from structure, space, calm communication, and predictable routines • Cats, including feeding, litter-box care, play, companionship, and following each cat’s preferred level of interaction I do not assume that experience with my own pets means I automatically understand yours. Every animal has different routines, triggers, boundaries, medical needs, and quirks. I welcome detailed instructions and honest information about behavior, anxiety, reactivity, past incidents, or anything I should avoid. That information does not intimidate me. It allows me to provide safer and more confident care. My schedule is flexible because I do not work a traditional nine-to-five job. I am currently on summer break while finishing my degree in interior design, and I can accommodate weekday and weekend walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and recurring care depending on location and timing. When school resumes, most of my time will be spent working independently on my capstone project, with only a few scheduled classes each week. I expect to maintain substantial flexibility throughout the academic year and am interested in building long-term relationships with recurring clients. I keep my Rover calendar current and only accept bookings I know I can reliably fulfill. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully and take time to understand their pet’s routine, boundaries, health needs, and home setup. In a client’s home, I pay close attention to doors, gates, food, medications, trash, cleaning products, and anything a curious or determined pet could reach. Before leaving, I confirm that the home is secure and that each pet has fresh water, access to the correct areas, and a comfortable environment. During walks, I stay off my phone and remain aware of approaching dogs, traffic, cyclists, narrow sidewalks, and possible triggers. I avoid unnecessary interactions with unfamiliar dogs, adjust the route when needed, and use the equipment and handling methods provided by the owner. I do not take dogs off leash unless we are in a fully enclosed area and the owner has specifically approved it. Trust also means communication. I provide clear updates and will contact you if I notice anything unusual, including changes in behavior, appetite, energy, or bathroom habits. I would rather ask a question than make an assumption. I also have a large SUV and reliable transportation. If urgent veterinary care is ever necessary, I can safely transport dogs of various sizes, follow the owner’s emergency instructions, and keep them informed throughout.
About: I took care of my family dog for 14 years up until last year when he passed away. I am looking to spend more time with dogs and love being around animals, so would love to help in any way I can - whether that's going on walks or pet / house sitting. My job is very flexible so I am available most times during the week and any times on the weekends. I can work around most schedules. I am respectful to any rules the owners set out ahead of time, and will only be in the pet's space as much as the owners would prefer.
About: Most sitters are dog people who also take cats. I'm the other way around. My first cat was Peelu, named for the yellow spots he had, and I've been around cats ever since. Four years of sitting has taught me that every cat runs on its own system, and my job is to figure out yours quickly and then stay out of its way. Some cats want you to leave the room before they'll touch their food. Some need about ten minutes of being politely ignored before they'll come out from under the bed. Some will tell you very clearly that the water bowl is six inches from where it should be. I pay attention to that stuff. I'm comfortable with medication schedules, litter boxes, and shy cats who hide for the entire first visit. You'll get photo updates every time, including the ones where your cat looks deeply unimpressed with me. I do drop-ins and house-sitting around North Capitol Hill, so I'm usually a short walk away. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can do drop-ins in the morning, midday, and evening without rushing. Weekday middays are wide open, which is usually the hardest slot for owners to fill. I'm also around most weekends. For housesitting, I'm out of the apartment part of the day but home most evenings and overnight, so your cat gets company at the hours that matter most to them. I keep my Rover calendar current and I'll tell you upfront if I can't make a schedule work, rather than saying yes and figuring it out later. I only care for cats in their own home, which is where cats do best. A new environment stresses most of them out more than a few hours alone does, so I come to them. Drop-ins: I follow whatever routine you already have rather than inventing my own. Fresh food and water, litter scooped every visit, medications on schedule, and play or lap time depending on what your cat is actually in the mood for. I check doors and windows before I leave every single time, and I keep an eye on the things that tell you a cat is off: appetite, litter box output, hiding more than usual, any limping or discharge. If something seems wrong, you hear from me right away rather than at the end of the week. Housesitting: Same routine, plus I'm there overnight. I'll bring in mail and packages, alternate a few lights, and generally keep the place looking lived in. I treat your home like a place I'm a guest in, not a place I'm staying at. No guests, and I leave it the way I found it. Before the first booking I'll ask for your vet's info, an emergency contact, where the carrier is, and anything specific I should know: escape artists, cats who bolt for the door, food aggression between housemates, or a cat who needs to be left alone more than most.

“Elizabeth is AWESOME! She always goes above and beyond in the care and attention she gives to my pup, Finley. She is an excellent communicator, consistent, and kind. I can rest easy knowing Finley is getting what she needs with someone I trust!”

About: Hello! As a volunteer with a local animal shelter and wildlife rehabilitation center I have had experience providing complex care for animals with all sorts of differing needs. Growing up with, and continuing to care for, animals of my own has taught me so much about providing care at every stage of life. I have helped raise puppies, kittens, small chicks, and bottle fed orphaned wildlife. I am very comfortable understanding and respecting the boundaries of more reactive animals and will tailor my care to your pets individual needs and personality. I would be honored to be entrusted with your pets care and prioritize safety and communication above all else! I have a flexible schedule and will work with you in order to provide the best care for your pet/s where and when you need it. Safety is my number one priority, and I believe wholeheartedly in always acting with care and honesty. The care I provide is informed by your advice and individual needs, and the most important thing to me is providing a safe and comfortable environment for your pet.

“Jackson is great with our puppies - covering decent miles with a golden retriever and a mini dachshund who are both very curious is a hard task and he’s done a great job with them!”

About: Animals have always been a part of my life. I grew up surrounded by both cats and dogs, caring for them daily—feeding, playing, and learning to understand their unique personalities. My Chihuahua gave birth to 5 adorable puppies 2 years ago, and I took on the full responsibility of raising and training them. From nighttime feedings to early socialization and basic commands, I experienced firsthand what it takes to care for pets with patience, love, and consistency. Whether it’s a playful pup or a shy senior pet, I treat every animal as if they were my own—with love, safety, and attention to detail. I’d be honored to care for your furry family member and keep you updated with photos, videos, and tail-wagging stories while you’re away! My schedule allows pet sitting before 7:30 AM and after 6:00 PM on weekdays, with open availability on weekends for extra attention, playtime and care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to follow their usual routine to keep pets comfortable and stress-free. I respect the home, provide regular updates, and make sure everything is clean and secure when I leave. Whether it’s feeding, play, litter box cleaning, or medication, I’m thorough and reliable in all aspects of care.

“Isabella and Gui were the best hosts! Bobo truly had his own vacation in form of dog parks and couch snuggles. Your pup would be lucky to be cared by them!”

“Jennifer was awesome! She took care of my lab, Hailey, for 16 days while we went to Europe. Hailey had just torn one of her ligaments so was on restricted activity and medication. Jennifer followed all the instructions and sent me regular updates. Having such a great Rover gave us piece of mind while we travelled.”

“Very successful weekend stay with Jeffrey. Jeffrey was easy to communicate with and he consistently sent me updates of my dog. Yoshi was happy and tired when she got home. He took her on so many walks and even a trip to the dog park where Yoshi made a friend. It felt like Yoshi was on a little vacation while I was on mine. Thanks again Jeffrey, looking forward to another stay.”

“Randsell was super communicative and was very caring! I could tell our cat was very reluctant in parting ways with her when I went to pick him up. I'm very grateful she was available last minute for our trip to cat sit.”

“Emily was very responsive to any concerns we had about Bailey. Our dog is an escape artist and after communicating this, Emily put our concerns at ease and was hyper-vigilant in securing a safe and secure environment for our girl. It was our first time booking with Emily and we were able to rest easy knowing she was well taken care of. We'd highly recommend Emily.”

“Our pup came home tired and happy from a weekend of fun adventures with Carolyn. She truly cares for your dog as her own. Would highly recommend and will rebook with her again!!”
