About: I’ve grown up taking care of dogs since I was a kid! Additionally, I’ve worked at a Puppies & Yoga studio where I spent most of my time with puppies. Im currently fresh out of college, so I have plenty of time to dig-sit/walk your pets! On weekends, I am available post noon. I’m always vigilant while walking dogs, especially while interacting with other pets and people, and making sure they are leashed at all times. I closely follow your exact feeding, walking, and medication schedules to maintain consistency with your routine.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was young. My youngest memories include our family Labs who were sweet silly, treat-loving dogs. Almost fifteen years ago, my family adopted Clover, a Schnauzer poodle who loves to sit outside and bask in the sun. Recently, my family adopted Theo, a chocolate Lab who is a silly boy who loves playing with squeaky toys and running outside. I enjoy playing with dogs, taking them on walks, or simply relaxing by their side. Throughout my childhood, I would often cat and dog sit for my neighbors, making sure each pet gets the care and attention they deserve. I love spending time with animals, and appreciate that each pet has their own personality and boundaries. I have some training skills, and have taken care of senior pets as well. I’ve watched over more reactive dogs, but prefer interacting with dogs that are calmer and approachable. I’m currently working remotely part-time so I have flexibility in my schedule and would love to care for your furry friend. I can accommodate for most days, with some limitations Monday and Wednesday evenings. Let’s chat more about your needs and see what we can schedule. While caring for pets, I try to keep their routine consistent and follow all instructions you provide to ensure that pets stay safe and happy. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and movement based on their needs and personality. I also keep the home tidy and clean. Communication is important to me, so I’m happy to send updates on how things are going. My ultimate goal is to make sure both the pet and owner feel comfortable and confident in my care.

About: I took care of my family dog for 14 years up until last year when he passed away. I am looking to spend more time with dogs and love being around animals, so would love to help in any way I can - whether that's going on walks or pet / house sitting. My job is very flexible so I am available most times during the week and any times on the weekends. I can work around most schedules. I am respectful to any rules the owners set out ahead of time, and will only be in the pet's space as much as the owners would prefer.

About: Hi there! My name's Toolie and Im an EMT-firefighter in training. My life keeps me pretty busy so I dont have the time for my own fur baby but Id love to come play and hang out with yours on my days off! Im super energetic, playful, reliable and responsible. Im very open to cat/dog sit, walking with your pets, bathing, light grooming, house sitting, some overnight care, and Im also flexible enough to cater to your own specific pet needs! Im available most afternoons and some mornings as well as evenings for the next couple weeks until EMT school starts. Im available mon, tue, thu, fri and sat for pet care! I am super detail and safety oriented given my profession, so I can very much follow and cater to instruction. Im super communicative so expect updates, pictures, questions and concerns from me while Im still getting acquainted with your pet friend! (obviously within reason!)

I now have the time to take on caring for the pets of busy people who need a reliable person to help out a bit with their pet care needs. As a high school teacher with 26 years of experience, reliability, compassion and clear communication is at the heart of everything that I do. As an exercise enthusiast, I can give your pup a walk that will wear them out and as an animal lover, I am happy just to keep your pet company. Whatever you need! I am a part time teacher, so have my summers off and work part time during the school year. After September, I will be available on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Thursday after 11:00 and after 3:00 on Tuesday, Wed and Friday. I can have small dogs over to my condo on Eastlake, can care in your home for any pet, or walk dogs up to 90 pounds.

About: My husband and I live in North Capitol Hill with our Malinois and German Shepherd. As the owner of a dog I trust with very few people, I understand how stressful it can be to hand someone else the leash or access to your home. My goal is to work closely with you, follow your instructions carefully, and make sure your pet is treated with patience, attention, respect, and genuine affection. My strongest experience is with large, intelligent, high-energy dogs. I have raised both of my dogs from puppyhood: a German Shepherd and an 85-pound rescue Belgian Malinois with anxiety and reactivity. Caring for dogs who are strong, athletic, sensitive, and constantly thinking has taught me patience, consistency, calm handling, and how to anticipate problems before they happen. I regularly walk both dogs together, managing nearly 200 pounds of energy, strength, and occasional squirrel chasing. On walks, I am fully present and not distracted by my phone. I continually monitor for approaching dogs, traffic, cyclists, tight spaces, environmental triggers, and safe alternate routes. I understand that responsible handling often means preventing a difficult situation instead of waiting until one has already developed. That same awareness carries into the home. I am used to dogs who can open doors, get past barriers, jump onto counters, move large objects such as trash cans, and reach hazards that many people would never anticipate. I carefully check for medications, food, trash, unsecured doors, and anything else a curious or determined pet might access. With smart dogs, the smallest overlooked detail can quickly become a much larger problem. My experience also includes: • Puppies, including house-training routines, frequent potty breaks, consistency, and managing chewing or mischievous behavior • Senior dogs who may require a slower pace, extra patience, mobility accommodations, or closer observation • Anxious and reactive dogs who benefit from structure, space, calm communication, and predictable routines • Cats, including feeding, litter-box care, play, companionship, and following each cat’s preferred level of interaction I do not assume that experience with my own pets means I automatically understand yours. Every animal has different routines, triggers, boundaries, medical needs, and quirks. I welcome detailed instructions and honest information about behavior, anxiety, reactivity, past incidents, or anything I should avoid. That information does not intimidate me. It allows me to provide safer and more confident care. My schedule is flexible because I do not work a traditional nine-to-five job. I am currently on summer break while finishing my degree in interior design, and I can accommodate weekday and weekend walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and recurring care depending on location and timing. When school resumes, most of my time will be spent working independently on my capstone project, with only a few scheduled classes each week. I expect to maintain substantial flexibility throughout the academic year and am interested in building long-term relationships with recurring clients. I keep my Rover calendar current and only accept bookings I know I can reliably fulfill. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully and take time to understand their pet’s routine, boundaries, health needs, and home setup. In a client’s home, I pay close attention to doors, gates, food, medications, trash, cleaning products, and anything a curious or determined pet could reach. Before leaving, I confirm that the home is secure and that each pet has fresh water, access to the correct areas, and a comfortable environment. During walks, I stay off my phone and remain aware of approaching dogs, traffic, cyclists, narrow sidewalks, and possible triggers. I avoid unnecessary interactions with unfamiliar dogs, adjust the route when needed, and use the equipment and handling methods provided by the owner. I do not take dogs off leash unless we are in a fully enclosed area and the owner has specifically approved it. Trust also means communication. I provide clear updates and will contact you if I notice anything unusual, including changes in behavior, appetite, energy, or bathroom habits. I would rather ask a question than make an assumption. I also have a large SUV and reliable transportation. If urgent veterinary care is ever necessary, I can safely transport dogs of various sizes, follow the owner’s emergency instructions, and keep them informed throughout.

I work remotely most days and have a dog friendly office the others. I’m in a smoke free home with a patio and easy access to parks for walking and getting on some real grass.
