Dog Walking Capitol Hill

About: After working in a couple of dog friendly offices, I've earned the trust of many co-workers to care for their pups outside of work. I don't have a car, so I make it a point to take dogs on long walks whenever possible. I prefer to have a vehicle, because I love disc golf and take the dogs I watch out to play with me when I can. I abide by rules (allergies, feeding time, etc), but also love to spoil dogs when allowed. Older dogs get to chill on my couch or bed (with assistance getting up) and I have a carpeted apartment that's comfortable for floor naps as well. I have been in a pet friendly office for over a decade, and have currently been laid off. Weekdays are wide open as I'm taking time off through the holidays. I am a Seahawks season ticket holder and avid UW football fan, so weekends aren't as easy for me, but I can be available for weekend sitting if needed. I give constant attention to pets in my home, and would do the same in client's homes as well. The dogs I've watched over the years have loved being with me and I love being with them. I feed them when instructed, given correct treats and walks. I live in a very pedestrian friendly neighborhood so even the night walks are easy for me.

About: I've spent 10 years raising and training two large breeds, a Golden Retriever and a Black German Shepherd, plus years caring for friends' dogs of every size and energy level, from small dogs to high octane mixed breeds. Where I'm a little different: I actually take dogs outside. I've brought friends' dogs on hikes, camping trips, and backpacking, so if you've got a dog who needs real miles to stay sane, that's my favorite kind of client. I also crate train, teach basic commands, and I'd rather earn a nervous dog's trust slowly than force it. Based in Capitol Hill. Reliable, I show up, and I treat your dog's routine like it's my own. Dog care isn’t something I squeeze in, it’s built into how I already live. My weekdays are flexible, so midday walks and home visits, the window most working owners can’t cover themselves, are exactly when I’m free. I also keep a reliable car, which means weekend hikes and trail trips outside the city are on the table, and those longer adventure outings are my favorite kind of booking. In a client’s home I keep their dog’s routine exactly as set: same feeding, water, crate time, and walk schedule, because consistency is what keeps a dog calm with a new person. On walks I stay leashed and alert. Capitol Hill sidewalks are busy and littered with dropped food, glass, and off-leash surprises, so I watch what my dog is sniffing and give reactive dogs a wide berth. I crate train, reinforce basic commands, and go slow with anxious dogs. Trust first, then everything else gets easier. Big working breeds and tiny lap dogs are equally my comfort zone.

About: Guaranteed pet pics! I love animals and wont be able to resist snapping pics and making sure they get all the love they need while they are with me. I am free most days, i prefer late mornings and afternoons. I am doing rover while I go back to school online and can work around your schedule though. Your pets safety is my biggest concern and i will make sure they stay out of harms way, i will keep them away from other dogs if needed

About: I've always had pets to take care of, when it was my parents showing me what to do and how to ensure that each pet is okay with you, and playing, hanging out, bathroom breaks, etc. I'm currently on part-time, so my weekdays are pretty open for care in the midday. I tend to do more of my work at night time. I'll always do what the client asks, but also be loving and caring towards the animals. They deserve it as much as anyone does.

About: Hi! I love cats and have a sweet 2.5 year old tabby boy of my own. I will give your kitties pets and kisses or leave them alone and feed them if that's what they desire:p Grew up with a dog, 3 cats, and 2 ferrets. Various pet sitting and check-ins throughout the the years! I'm a psychotherapist and bartend at Duke's Seafood. I work about 25hrs a week- so I have a good amount of free hours to come visit your bb(s). I love driving, so happy to bop around town and drop in at different times of the day:) My own kitty is indoor/outdoor, so I have experience with both arrangements. He's had a few minor medical issues where I've had to give him meds- so I feel comfortable giving meds to other pets if needed!
