“Joash has been amazing with Murphy. He’s reliable, communicative, and very patient, especially while getting to know Murphy’s personality and routine. Kind, easy to work with, and I always feel comfortable knowing Murphy is in good hands.”

About: Stay-at-home dog mom to Maggie, a 2 year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, providing patient walks, tasty treats, and loving, dependable care you can trust. I focus on positive reinforcement and calm, happy outings. As a stay-at-home dog mom, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks and drop-ins throughout the day. I’m happy to accommodate regular routines, last-minute needs, and special instructions to keep your pup comfortable and happy. I provide a safe and loving environment for dogs while being respectful and discrete in the homes I visit. My experience as a household manager for a busy family taught me the importance of discretion, organization, and respecting routines. You can trust your home and pets are in capable hands!
“Jen was able to walk my dog on relatively short notice and has helped so much in terms of relaying behaviors she has noticed my pup! I'll gladly continue to use her services and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dogwalker as someone who has worked in animal care for years.”

“Bekah was timely for our first walk and eager to learn about & take notes on how we are training Blueberry to be less leash reactive. Looking forward to many more walks!!”

“I had to book Morgan for a walk from New Zealand, had never met her, and was a bit nervous about everything because of confusion relating to the international dateline. Morgan was extremely responsive and efficient, always getting back to me immediately, assuring me that she understood what day I was trying to book for (this is more difficult than it sounds). I will definitely use her again!”

“Molly is an excellent dog walker! My dog loved her and yours will too. She'll take great care of any pup that needs a stroll around town. Five stars, no notes”

“Gabriel has been amazing with Murphy this week! He’s communicative and reliable. Murphy can sometimes be reactive or a little stubborn about walking, but Gabriel handled him so well and was very patient with him. I really appreciated the updates, photos, and extra care during the walks. As I’ve been working long days, I had a last-minute care request and really appreciated that he was able to accommodate it. It gave me peace of mind knowing Murphy was in good hands.”

“We hired Danielle for three weeks when our regular walker was away on vacation. And we were so lucky to find her! Our dog had just been hospitalized and was more tired and vulnerable than usual, so naturally we were concerned. Wow- Did you ever wish someone could spy on your dog sitter and report back to you? Well this is how amazing Danielle is: Someone who lives on our block (and rarely speaks to us) took the time to send us an email saying that they had seen Danielle interacting with our dog and they were so impressed with how kind and patient she was. We were so delighted! Danielle was 100% reliable, a superb communicator, and truly a gifted dog whisperer. Look no further- Your dog will be in great hands with Danielle!”

I've interacted with a large variety of different breeds of dogs and cats (small-large). Let me know if I can offer you any of my service, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible! I am available after 4pm Tues-Thurs, and available anytime Mon and Fri. I am available most weekends and holidays. I'm willing to negotiate time and price, let me know if you have any special requests or concerns. I review any safety concerns from the owner and familiarize myself with the environment and any potential hazards. My main goal is to make sure your pet is safe and cared for. They are my top priority every minute I'm with them! I love all animals and believe they deserve excellent care.
“We needed Mason’s help w some last minute walks. Mason was both professional & friendly… and the dogs were drawn to him immediately. Excellent walks & comprehensive walk reports. Thx much Mason!”
About: Hello! As a volunteer with a local animal shelter and wildlife rehabilitation center I have had experience providing complex care for animals with all sorts of differing needs. Growing up with, and continuing to care for, animals of my own has taught me so much about providing care at every stage of life. I have helped raise puppies, kittens, small chicks, and bottle fed orphaned wildlife. I am very comfortable understanding and respecting the boundaries of more reactive animals and will tailor my care to your pets individual needs and personality. I would be honored to be entrusted with your pets care and prioritize safety and communication above all else! I have a flexible schedule and will work with you in order to provide the best care for your pet/s where and when you need it. Safety is my number one priority, and I believe wholeheartedly in always acting with care and honesty. The care I provide is informed by your advice and individual needs, and the most important thing to me is providing a safe and comfortable environment for your pet.
About: Most sitters are dog people who also take cats. I'm the other way around. My first cat was Peelu, named for the yellow spots he had, and I've been around cats ever since. Four years of sitting has taught me that every cat runs on its own system, and my job is to figure out yours quickly and then stay out of its way. Some cats want you to leave the room before they'll touch their food. Some need about ten minutes of being politely ignored before they'll come out from under the bed. Some will tell you very clearly that the water bowl is six inches from where it should be. I pay attention to that stuff. I'm comfortable with medication schedules, litter boxes, and shy cats who hide for the entire first visit. You'll get photo updates every time, including the ones where your cat looks deeply unimpressed with me. I do drop-ins and house-sitting around North Capitol Hill, so I'm usually a short walk away. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can do drop-ins in the morning, midday, and evening without rushing. Weekday middays are wide open, which is usually the hardest slot for owners to fill. I'm also around most weekends. For housesitting, I'm out of the apartment part of the day but home most evenings and overnight, so your cat gets company at the hours that matter most to them. I keep my Rover calendar current and I'll tell you upfront if I can't make a schedule work, rather than saying yes and figuring it out later. I only care for cats in their own home, which is where cats do best. A new environment stresses most of them out more than a few hours alone does, so I come to them. Drop-ins: I follow whatever routine you already have rather than inventing my own. Fresh food and water, litter scooped every visit, medications on schedule, and play or lap time depending on what your cat is actually in the mood for. I check doors and windows before I leave every single time, and I keep an eye on the things that tell you a cat is off: appetite, litter box output, hiding more than usual, any limping or discharge. If something seems wrong, you hear from me right away rather than at the end of the week. Housesitting: Same routine, plus I'm there overnight. I'll bring in mail and packages, alternate a few lights, and generally keep the place looking lived in. I treat your home like a place I'm a guest in, not a place I'm staying at. No guests, and I leave it the way I found it. Before the first booking I'll ask for your vet's info, an emergency contact, where the carrier is, and anything specific I should know: escape artists, cats who bolt for the door, food aggression between housemates, or a cat who needs to be left alone more than most.
“Talat is awesome! We had a very thorough meet and greet and she made sure to get all the important details about my dog. She takes my dog on little adventures every walk and very thoroughly documents it with videos and photos. My dog loves Talat.”

“He has been doing great job! On one of the walks, our dog was having an issue that he helped take care of and then was able to swing back by later to check in on her before I was able to get home. This was much appreciated!”

Sean is the best! 10/10 would recommend. He takes great care of our dog. He’s super dependable and always shows up on time. He’s great with communication and always sends pictures of our dog out having fun. Our dog loves him and is always so excited to see him.

Natalie was great to work with! She send me very thorough report cards and photos of my pup, and was attentive to my instructions when we met to talk beforehand. I felt safe leaving my baby with her, which I was nervous to do at first! I recommend her as a dog walker!

Kaitlyn is amazing! She is incredibly attentive to my dog and always keeps me updated with thoughtful, detailed communication after their walks. It’s clear that she genuinely cares, and I always felt confident that my dog was in great hands. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pet.

Brenda has been a lifesaver! As a medical professional with an unpredictable schedule she was invaluable. Brenda is flexible, prompt, communicative, and attentive to my pup. She always gave him a treat for good behavior and customized his walk route based on the weather.

Liza was wonderful looking after my elderly dog when I was out of town! She sent lots of photos and followed the directions perfectly. I didn’t have cell signal and I forgot to send her my apartment door code! She texted my emergency contact and asked my neighbors until she found someone who could give it to her. Very thankful for her :)
