About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life and have always loved being around them. Whenever my parents were away, I was responsible for walking, feeding, and playing with our dogs, so taking care of them has always been a normal part of my life. I also have a cat of my own, so I understand the responsibilities that come with caring for cats and making sure they are fed, comfortable, and getting the attention they need. I also understand that some pets experience separation anxiety when their owners are away. I’m thoughtful and attentive to animal body language and pay close attention to changes in their behavior, energy, and comfort level. I try to meet animals where they are rather than forcing interaction, especially when they are nervous or anxious. I’m patient and willing to give pets the time and space they need to feel comfortable with me. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, cared for, and as comfortable as possible while their parents are away. Since I have a cat of my own, pet care is always on my mind. I am used to constantly thing of how to make life better for my own animal, and keeping her healthy and fed. I work 8 hours 3 days a week, which makes it easy to fit in pet care either before or after work, or during my days off. Additionally, I have a safe and reliable car to take me anywhere in the city which makes caring for your pet more accessible. I have a large house in a very safe neighborhood. My home is already safe for pets due to having a cat living with me. My cat is extremely kind and gentle. I live in a quiet, residential neighborhood on a safe and not busy street. However, I would not let any pet off leash due to the unknown risk.

About: Grew up in a family of vets and biologists, so I have always been surrounded by animals. Have had a dog my whole adult life. I hike a lot and do a lot of walking, and would love to take your dog to see mountains and forests I freelance in software, so my schedule is very flexible. I walk Kanga around 5-6 miles a day, and hike on weekends. Would love to take dogs with me on adventures to see places around Washington I have a dog-friendly dog. I am comfortable hosting or going to clients home. Will spend a lot of time with your pet since my work hours are very flexible.

About: Both my husband and I have hands-on experience as pet owners and frequent Rover clients! I’m from Utah and my husband, Ikumi, is from Japan, where I lived for 9 years. We actually brought our Golden Retriever, Arc, overseas with us from Japan, so we are incredibly attuned to keeping dogs safe and comfortable during big life transitions. Between the two of us, we’ve grown up with French Bulldogs, Labs, Poodles, and Australian Shepherds, giving us a great foundation for handling all different sizes and energy levels. When your dog stays with us, their comfort and safety are our top priorities. We maintain a secure, clean, and entirely dog-friendly environment, and we always closely supervise playtime, especially as your pup gets to know our dog, Arc! Our philosophy is to let your dog set the pace and we will match their energy. If they are feeling active, we love bringing out the toys for a fun play session in the home. If they are older, anxious, or just want to relax, we are more than happy to just cuddle and chill. We strictly follow your specific rules and routines regarding feeding, treats, and furniture privileges to ensure a trustworthy, stress-free stay that feels just like their own home.

About: I have loved animals since I was kid. Our family got a dog (finally!) when I was in high-school (after many years of begging my parents :). I started pet and house sitting in the early 2000s because of my love for animals. I've watched dogs, cats, and even a chinchilla. I volunteered as a foster parent with PAWS in the Seattle area for almost three years, getting dogs ready for adoption. You'll always see me ask to pet a dog when passing one on a walk. I currently work remotely so have availability all days of the week. I live in Seattle and have pet-sat in the city as well as on the Eastside for many families. I am careful to follow all safety protocols: making sure the area is safe and avoiding any aggressive-displaying animals while obeying neighborhood & street requirements.

My personal policy is to house-sit one home at a time, so caring for your animal(s) has my full attention. I naturally rise early which has been very suitable to a lot of fur-friends schedules and needs.
