“Davis was fantastic with our dog, a 75 lb mixed breed. She is very anxious when we leave her with a sitter. She’s also sometimes stand offish with men she doesn’t know, but she liked Davis immediately when we met him in a meet and greet before our trip. Davis’ calm, confident way with dogs put us at ease, and we felt comfortable leaving our pup with him for a full week. A few days before our trip, our dog got a dog bite that got infected, so we had to leave her with new medications and care instructions. Davis handled everything with no stress, made sure she got her medication, and took great care of her while she healed. We came home to a happy, healthy dog and would absolutely hire Davis again and recommend to others.”
“Peter was the best dog sitter I could have found for my pup. Luke is 14 yo, so leaving him with someone isn’t always easy. Peter made the whole process incredibly smooth and friendly, and he made Luke feel right at home. He even took him on little adventures with Nova, while being very mindful of Luke’s needs and limits. Not only did he make Luke feel like part of his pack, but he also gave me great peace of mind with daily updates and photos where I could clearly see that Luke (even though he probably missed me) couldn’t have been in better hands. I’m especially grateful to Peter because when my return travel plans got complicated and the schedule didn’t quite line up, he was extremely flexible and helped me so much, making sure Luke got home safe and sound. “Lovely people, good care. Both Rachid and Ruth are very pleasant to connect with and they were great about ensuring they knew the lay of the land for the sit. Ruth was the one did the sit, staying overnight and working from the house during the day. When she came to drop off the key, Roo came running into to the room to say hello, followed soon by Zoe so Ruth and cats had obviously connected (Leo is more independent, so his absence is not an indicator). Ruth accommodated a somewhat complicated sit. Roo, who was just joining the family, was in the living room apart from the other two cats. This meant working during the day while hanging out with Roo and also hanging out with the other cats in the evening and sleeping with them. She dealt with a number of dead rats, courtesy of lethal Leo who often does nightly neighborhood hunts. Ruth also sent pics and let us know what was going on (e.g. racoon in the yard) Everything was clean and tidy on return. Would definitely work with Ruth and Rachid again.”

About: I’ve always had a passion for taking care of dogs and cats. I’m a personal trainer so I go on a lot of walks in the neighborhood to maintain my fitness. I care for pets by going on regular walks and making sure they are fed, hydrated and petted a lot throughout the day. It’s important they get attention like playing. The routine would be get up in the mornings go to the bathroom, outside then use some treats to practice on commands and then it would be breakfast time. I care for the pets in our home by keeping them warm and fed. And I also give them attention and some treats if necessary.

About: We're young professionals living in Cap Hill with several years of dog-care experience. We started sitting through Rover 3 years ago and have since added our own dog to the mix! Oliver is a 2-year-old mini poodle who we rescued just over a year ago. PLEASE NOTE: To make sure your pup has a comfortable stay, we require a meet-and-greet playdate prior to booking. We want to make sure that we are a good fit for your dog's needs! While we love all our furry friends, due to allergies in our family we are only able to take low-shedding, hypoallergenic dogs right now. One of us works from home, so your pup will get attention and care throughout the day. We like to start and end our days with a long walk in Volunteer Park. Oliver's other favorite activities include sleeping on the couch next to me while I work or perched on the back of couch, where he can look out the window and get a great view of all the neighborhood happenings. Your pup would be cordially invited to do the same! We use positive reinforcement training with Oliver and bring treats on all our walks to reward good behavior. If there are specific behaviors you want us to upkeep during your pup's stay, please don't hesitate to let us know. We know what a bummer it can be to have to retrain behaviors after just a few days away! We can't wait to meet your pup and make them feel at home during their stay! One of us works from home full-time and will be around for all your dog's needs. We typically start and end our day with a walk in Volunteer Park. About: I have had dogs since I was a kid, I can navigate puppy-hood to senior care. I have experience with big and small, separation anxiety, on and off leash behavior issues. As for cats, I didn't find my feline affinity until a bit later in life. I had my own cat (miss him so!) and I have volunteered at PAWS Cat City for more than a decade where I assist with adoptions, cleaning, cat socialization and care. About: Growing up on a farm, I am incredibly experienced with all animals!! I have been lucky enough to have had a dog since I was 5 and currently have a 2 yo Golden Retriever who is a trained hospital therapy dog. My pup gets along with every dog he has met and that has stayed in our home, from dogs labeled as “reactive” to seniors and puppies of all ages. Whatever your preference and schedule is, I am more than happy to accommodate. Your dog is my top priority and I will treat them just like they were my own. While I love a good visit to Magnolia Dog Park, I prefer the 1:1 attention I can give your pup going for a walk or playing. I don’t have a fenced yard but I live within walking distance from a completely fenced field that I take my own dog to. It’s perfect for throwing the ball or playing tug of war! If off leash isn’t your preference, I have long leads well suited for play time while providing peace of mind. I can provide frequent checkins, Facetimes with your doggo, and lots of pictures! About: I am an enthusiastic dog lover who recently started offering pet sitting services after realizing how much I enjoy caring for my friends' dogs. While I am relatively new to the platform, I have experience providing personalized care, including feeding, walking, and—most importantly—plenty of playtime. I am a responsible and detail-oriented person who understands that every dog has a unique personality and routine. I look forward to giving your pup the same care and affection I give to my friends' pets! Working from home as an engineer allows me to offer a very flexible schedule with constant companionship. I am around throughout the day to provide frequent potty breaks, interactive play, and plenty of attention. Because I don't have a traditional commute, I can easily adapt my routine to match your pet's typical feeding and exercise habits, ensuring they stay happy and comfortable. I have a home with a fully fenced yard, which is great for quick breaks and fresh air. I also live right near the Arboretum park and would love to take your dog for longer walks through the park trails. Since I’m home during the day, I can provide a relaxed environment with plenty of supervision, and I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you have regarding their care and routine.

“Davis was fantastic with our dog, a 75 lb mixed breed. She is very anxious when we leave her with a sitter. She’s also sometimes stand offish with men she doesn’t know, but she liked Davis immediately when we met him in a meet and greet before our trip. Davis’ calm, confident way with dogs put us at ease, and we felt comfortable leaving our pup with him for a full week. A few days before our trip, our dog got a dog bite that got infected, so we had to leave her with new medications and care instructions. Davis handled everything with no stress, made sure she got her medication, and took great care of her while she healed. We came home to a happy, healthy dog and would absolutely hire Davis again and recommend to others.”
“Peter was the best dog sitter I could have found for my pup. Luke is 14 yo, so leaving him with someone isn’t always easy. Peter made the whole process incredibly smooth and friendly, and he made Luke feel right at home. He even took him on little adventures with Nova, while being very mindful of Luke’s needs and limits. Not only did he make Luke feel like part of his pack, but he also gave me great peace of mind with daily updates and photos where I could clearly see that Luke (even though he probably missed me) couldn’t have been in better hands. I’m especially grateful to Peter because when my return travel plans got complicated and the schedule didn’t quite line up, he was extremely flexible and helped me so much, making sure Luke got home safe and sound. Without a doubt, he will be my go-to person to take care of Luke the next time I have to travel.”

“Kai was a fantastic dog sitter! He and his wife were excellent communicators and they took outstanding care of our large golden retriever. Our dog is shy at first, and he warmed up to Kai and his wife very quickly because they are so at ease and know how to welcome a new dog into their home. Kai kindly sent us pictures and videos throughout our pet’s stay with their family. On top of providing exceptional care for our pup, they took the time to meet with us and our dog before the boarding began, they were flexible about our drop-off and pick-up times, and they always responded to our messages promptly and kindly, including when we had an emergency on our end. Kai is a true Rover professional. We hope Kai and his family will be available the next time we are traveling and need dog care, because they are the best!”

“Samantha was absolutely wonderful taking care of Teddy. Teddy had lots of fun playing with Samantha, meeting her friends and taking very long walks with her! Samantha was so patient with Teddy when he was first nervous. She sent me consistent updates on Teddy & each time, it looked like he was having a blast. In fact, after she took care of Teddy, Teddy & I ran into her on a walk and he was soooo excited to see her again. Definitely recommend Samantha - she was kind, responsive, and made Teddy feel right at home in her place.”

Michael was so helpful and accommodating to make this work with less notice than usual! He was prompt and communicative sending me pictures of Sox updates along the way. His dog Ellie was very chill and seemed to get along with Sox great. I definitely would (and will!) work with Michael again!”

“Babu stayed with Jennifer and Ken for the second time. What’s best about them is that they are both passionate about dog care and equally experienced with dogs. This gives me a great peace of mind. They shared a ton of pics and videos of Babu playing and then dozing off exhausted from the fun. I am grateful he got that attention, time and care from them and they went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of just as their own dog, who Babu gets along with super well. “Ellie was a fantastic host to our husky Pepper. She is extremely attentive and made sure that Pepper got enough daily exercise and also plenty of snuggles during their downtime. We love that Pepper gets along so well with Ellie’s sweet dog Bear. Overall our dog had a great time and would absolutely book with Ellie in the future. Highly recommend!”
