“Ana is really reliable! She’s a great communicator and provides lots of information for the walks and our sweet dog. Highly recommend her! And so glad we have found her.!”

“Jasie is an amazing dog walker and a truly wonderful person. She has shown us so much kindness and care with our little old dog. We never have to worry about afternoon walks (snow, rain, or shine) because Jasie is always there. She’s flexible, dependable, and a great communicator. We’re so sorry to see her go, and we wish her all the best on her new adventure. If you’re looking for an exceptional dog walker, choose Jasie.”

“Jaime was awesome with my dog, Oreo. Oreo is a people person and is super excited seeing people. She was so patient with him both times she took him out. Also we did a meet and greet before that and she had come prepared with some questions to learn more about Oreo which I found super impressive. I would definitely recommend her for your pups walks. I will be using her services again for sure. Oreo was super happy post his walks.”

“Eleanor was wonderful. She always gave my dog a really good walk and took excellent care of her. And my dog adores her - always a good thing. We would definitely use her again.”

“Ori is so kind and patient with our very timid King Charles cavalier. She is a total homebody, but he convinces her to continue walks, so she still gets some exercise.”

“We really appreciate heather taking it nice and slow with our shelter pup Alfie. He has reactivity issues so we are nervous for him to be handled by someone else, but Heather is very knowledgeable about dogs and made us feel at ease. We’ve gotten so many great tips from her already and have seen such great improvement with his behavior already!”

“Deven was amazing! My dog with a bit of a stranger danger complex bonded to him right away. He was super responsive and genuinely interested in getting to know my dog to better walk with her. Highly recommend.”

“Ponyo was very communicative and was available for literally a last second walk. She was flexible and sent great photos which gave piece of mind. Thank you so much Ponyo, you were amazing!”

About: I have been around animals my entire life and have always had a dog. I absolutely love spending time with my own dog and seeing him happy, and I want to be able to provide a safe and happy environment for your pet when you are unable to be there! I have experience with dogs of all ages and needs. Currently, I have a ten year old lab who I take on runs/walks, on, and many other adventures! I would love to provide the same for your pet! I’d be happy to spend time caring for your pet, checking in on them when you are unable to. I am comfortable following whatever feeding instructions you might have. I’d love to meet your pet! Please note, I do offer boarding and am able to take dogs to work with me. My own dog is sensitive, so meeting in advance would be required to ensure the dogs get along. I work full time but in a dog friendly environment (for chill pups). I’d welcome bringing yours along with me or coming to take them on a walk mid day if it falls during the work week. While I do live in an apartment, I make a lot of effort to keep my dog and any dog who stays with me active and enriched. My apartment is dog safe and dogs are not left unattended as much as possible.
“Hayley is great! She always takes great care of our dog, Nico and is super patient with me when I have a lot of questions or requirements. I always trust her to give our pup a great walk/exercise!”

About: My family has what I call the "pet gene," and they call me the "cat whisperer." I've been a compassionate animal caretaker for most of my life. When I was about ten years old, I raised two puppies that had been abandoned at a fire station where my uncle worked. We fed them with a toy baby bottle until we could get to a vet (this was a rural area before 24-hour clinics). I named them Laverne and Shirley. In my graduate work, I focused on human and animal studies, particularly representations of human and animal communication in literature. It was a fascinating rabbit hole. With a lifetime of taking care of pets and previous pet sitting experience in the Seattle area, you can depend on me to give your pets the kind and compassionate care they deserve. Working online as an adjunct college English instructor provides me with a flexible schedule and is perfect for accommodating all of your pet sitting needs. I am available for drop ins and overnights in your home. In addition to attending to food, water, litter box, walks etc., I always take the time to play with your pet and engage with them if they want. I'd be more than happy to water plants and collect mail if needed.
About: I've been dog sitting around my neighborhood for families and friends for the last 4 years! At the age of sixteen, my first ever job was at a dog boarding and breeding facility, where I handled dogs of all ages, including caring for newborn puppies and raising them until they were ready for their new homes. Most recently, I've been working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility for the last two years. Here, I've had the experience to care for dogs of all ages, and all different breeds. I've been accustomed to dogs of all different personalities, and have the experience of handling any unexpected situations or issues with dogs. I am currently working part time with a flexible but sometimes changing schedule, and am often available on the weekends, as well as evenings, and some time throughout the weekdays. I am experienced with coming to your home and caring for, watching, or walking your dog/dogs! At the moment, I do not board or care for any dogs in my home.

“A wonderful first meet and greet with Kathy. She took our pups for a walk to get to know them and they came back very happy. Great communication and I look forward to working with Kathy in the future.”

“Natalee did a great job with my dog who is timid and reluctant around new people. By the end of the time, he was sitting on her lap! Thanks, Natalee for your great instincts and patience.”

“David has been so available and so fantastic! Jake is ecstatic each time David arrives and David gives Jake the excellent exercise that I can't. Thank you David!”

“I highly recommend Emily for anyone who needs a dog walker! My dog warmed up to her so quickly, and Emily was great at communicating and giving my dog lots of attention!”

About: Hello! I’m a behavioral therapist and teaching artist based in Queen Anne, offering a calm, attentive, and experienced touch to pet care. While I’m new to Rover, I bring over 10 years of personal pet-sitting experience with a wide variety of breeds and personalities, from energetic puppies who need constant play to senior dogs who prefer a slow, gentle routine. Because I work from home most days, your dog will rarely be alone. I’m happy to accommodate high-energy needs with walks, jogs, or trips to the dog park, as well as provide quiet companionship for dogs who just need a little extra comfort. I’m also experienced with cat-sitting, having looked after everyone from friendly lap cats to highly independent felines who prefer their own space. My schedule is very flexible, so I’m open to both short-term visits and long-term arrangements. I’d love to hear about your pet’s unique needs and how I can help! I currently have a lot of availability in my schedule, so please reach out and let me know what times you are thinking, and I am sure I can accommodate. I am also able to accommodate any last minute needs. I truly enjoy spending time with animals. At this time I am not able to host animals in my space, but if I am spending time with them in your environment I am sure to be respectful of your space, and honor any needs or requests needed.
Lower Queen Anne dog parents share their Rover experiences
Samuel was great! He was responsive and shared updates during each walk. He also has his girlfriend partnering with him which opened up a lot of availability. They offered to be on-call in case I detected any urgent issues through my pet cam. I will be rebooking with them soon!
