“Melissa took great care of Ricky, who can be a challenge to walk. She thought ahead to bring extra potty bags, was right on time, and walked him extra long. Thanks!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. From docile Labs to energetic Boxers to retired Grey Hounds. I’ve personally owned a Border Aussie. I got her as a puppy, taught her to herd my chickens and trained her on verbal, visual and whistle commands. I am comfortable with all life stages and even with medical needs (had to rehab my herding dog through a TPLO surgery). I have no issues administering medication orally or subcutaneously. I work full time from home, my schedule is a little flexible. I typically don’t have mid day meetings which is where I’m looking to fill my lunch with a furry friend. I am off usually around 4/4:30 so my afternoons can be filled with furry friends as well! As pet parents we are all going to have different ways of managing our pets. I’m not here to rewrite rules, break routines or bend the rules because “the parents are gone”. I want your pet healthy and happy. I will treat them as my own. I will treat your home as my home.
“Jaime was awesome with my dog, Oreo. Oreo is a people person and is super excited seeing people. She was so patient with him both times she took him out. Also we did a meet and greet before that and she had come prepared with some questions to learn more about Oreo which I found super impressive. I would definitely recommend her for your pups walks. I will be using her services again for sure. Oreo was super happy post his walks.”

“I’m so glad I got connected with Sami! Very great communicator and she was so great with our dog, took her on a nice walk and handled her with ease for being a last minute request/the first time meeting her! Plus she got the sweetest pictures too ❤️ looking forward to having her back for more walks in the future!”

“Ori is so kind and patient with our very timid King Charles cavalier. She is a total homebody, but he convinces her to continue walks, so she still gets some exercise.”

About: As a former dog daycare employee in the Queen Anne/Magnolia area and a current volunteer at the Seattle Animal Shelter, I have plenty of experience with these loving animals, sometimes watching up to a few dozen of them at a time. I have lots of experience in pet sitting/walking friends and family dogs! I'm currently available most days, morning to evening. I’m a volunteer at the Seattle Animal Shelter and the Regional Animal Shelter (King County) but only a few hours a week. I will make sure to keep this updated frequently. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I am always very considerate and have been trained to understand body language given from dogs. Especially on walks when there are other dogs/humans nearby, I will make sure to keep your dog at a safe distance to ensure the safety of everyone!
“Ana really saved us with a last minute booking! She did an incredible job with our chaotic golden retriever puppy and was a true expert with her. She sent the most thoughtful pictures while I was at work and was so communicative. We'll absolutely be booking with her again- thank you so much Ana!”

About: Lifelong dog and cat owner, new to Rover. Ready to drop in and take care of your dog or cat! I have tons of experience caring for my own animals, so I would love to provide some peace of mind while you are out of town, busy with work, or just need a break! I'm currently a full-time student, and have a very flexible schedule. I am available all days, except Friday, and most hours of the day! I have taken care of cats and dogs of all ages and mobilities, I can adapt to whatever level of care you need for your special friend!
“Eleanor is just wonderful! She cares about your pet and is so easy to communicate with! We don’t have to worry at all when she is taking care of our dog. Highly recommend!”

“Emily was a big help while I was in a conference all week. She took such good care of Sierra, giving her nice walks, belly rubs, treats for tricks, and fetch with her fave stuffie. Sierra loved spending time with Emily—I could tell by the big smiles on her face. I would definitely recommend Emily!”

“Heather did an excellent dog with our nervous, reactive dog. She knew just how to handle him as soon as she met him, and I could see her building trust with him. She gave us some great tips on how to help improve his behavior. She was friendly, professional, and responsive, and I look forward to working with her again. I know our little guy is in good hands!”

“Kathy was sooo helpful working with my pitbull Zhuri. The communication was easy, she was super accommodating with all requests, and was extremely reliable. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Thanks for you help Kathy!”

About: Dog lover & lifelong hound fan! 🐶 I grew up with beagles and have always loved being around dogs. I’d love to be a dog mom someday, but the timing isn’t quite right yet—Rover lets me get my dog fix while giving your pup plenty of love, attention, and care! ❤️ I’ve worked the traditional 9–5, so I know the struggle of trying to fit in a happy, tired pup between meetings! Luckily, I’m conveniently located near major corporate offices and have a flexible schedule for midday walks. 🐶 For me, a walk isn’t just about racking up steps—it’s about letting your pup be a dog! I love a good “sniffari,” giving dogs plenty of time to sniff, explore, and take in all the neighborhood smells. 🌿👃 My goal? Get those zoomies out, give those curious noses something to investigate, and send your pup home happy and ready to snooze while you get back to work. 💻🐾 I’ll keep your pup’s routine consistent while making their time outside fun and enriching! 🐶 As an apartment dweller myself, I know how important it is for dogs to get out for regular walks, fresh air, and plenty of opportunities to sniff and explore. Expect lots of mental stimulation, playtime, and maybe a treat or two along the way! 🐾
About: I have spent my whole life caring for animals! My family at one point owned a small independent pet store, where we adopted out rescues: dogs, cats, birds, and fish. I was raised with rabbits and guinea pigs as well, and I'm very knowledgeable about rabbits in particular. I love cats and I know how to handle many special care needs they may have. I have several times gone through the process of caring for a pet in end of life and can handle seniors very well. I also have two immediate family members who ate veterinary technicians and one close relative who is a veterinarian specializing in small animals, all of whom I am available to contact should any problems arise. I promise to treat your animal family exactly as I treat my own--with gentle care, affection, and attention. I am currently between positions and am able to handle any routines. I will be moving to part time work in the future, at which point I will communicate any schedule changes. I am very willing to go on long walks with dogs and to clean up after them. If you are out of town for an extended period I can come do walks as well as get some good social time in for dogs. I am also very willing to come spend time with your cats (even if they just want to be in the same room), as I know my own cats get lonely if they don't see people enough while I am out of town.

About: My family has what I call the "pet gene," and they call me the "cat whisperer." I've been a compassionate animal caretaker for most of my life. When I was about ten years old, I raised two puppies that had been abandoned at a fire station where my uncle worked. We fed them with a toy baby bottle until we could get to a vet (this was a rural area before 24-hour clinics). I named them Laverne and Shirley. In my graduate work, I focused on human and animal studies, particularly representations of human and animal communication in literature. It was a fascinating rabbit hole. With a lifetime of taking care of pets and previous pet sitting experience in the Seattle area, you can depend on me to give your pets the kind and compassionate care they deserve. NO leash reactive dogs, please. Working online as an adjunct college English instructor provides me with a flexible schedule and is perfect for accommodating all of your pet sitting needs. I am available for drop ins and overnights in your home. In addition to attending to food, water, litter box, walks etc., I always take the time to play with your pet and engage with them if they want. I'd be more than happy to water plants and collect mail if needed. No leash reactive dogs, please.
“Megan was great! We needed a last minute walk for Cooper and she was able to accommodate. Megan was kind, punctual, and Cooper seemed to warm right up to her! Will definitely be asking her for more walks in the future!”

“Annabelle was exceptional! Mango is a rescue and can be shy meeting new people and can get a bit anxious on her walks. Annabelle was very attentive to Mango’s needs and took great care of Mango. She’s very professional, communicative and I would highly recommend her for your pets care!”

“Always so willing to help at the last minute to get my big guy out for a walk. Incredibly flexible and Rook is always so excited when I tell him that she is coming!”

About: Growing up, I was surrounded by cats, birds, and other animals, which gave me a deep love and understanding of pets of all kinds. I’m naturally drawn to animals, they sense it too, and tend to feel comfortable and relaxed around me quickly. I love being outdoors and go on walks regularly, so your dog will get plenty of fresh air and exercise. Since I can’t have my own pet right now, caring for yours is genuinely something I look forward to your animal won’t just be watched, they’ll be loved. I’m attentive, calm, and reliable, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know your pet is happy and safe. I’m currently on a flexible schedule with plenty of free time, which means your pet gets my full attention throughout the day. I enjoy going on walks regularly, so dogs in my care will get outdoor time and exercise daily. I live in a cozy apartment in downtown Seattle where your pet will feel safe and comfortable. I’m calm and attentive by nature, which helps animals settle in quickly. I keep my space clean and pet-friendly, and I’ll always communicate with you — sending photos and updates so you feel connected to your pet even when you’re away. Your pet’s comfort and safety is my top priority.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lower Queen Anne
Rayan was an excellent choice to take care of my boxer while I was away. He was very attentive and paid attention to every detail. He was always on time and did a great job managing my dog, who can definitely be a handful. He also handled unexpected situations that came up very well. I felt confident knowing my dog was in good hands and would definitely recommend Rayan.

Mead did a fantastic job. She easily won over my 5 year old pittie mix and took really good care of her on walks. She was very knowledgeable about dog handling and behavior. She even started to teach my pup a new trick (spin)! Mead was also good with my elderly cat, who warmed up to her quickly. All-around wonderful experience. Thanks, Mead!

Roman was very comfortable with my reactive dog and very professional. It was my first time using Rover and I felt very at ease with how he communicated and just seemed so experienced with different dogs and behaviors. Definitely would be happy to hire him again.
