About: I grew up on a dairy farm, and have been around many different animals over the years. I started out pet sitting for friends of family members, and families in my local community in my spare time. I have also taken care of a few senior pets over the years by making sure they get their right medications and foods throughout my stay. I also help take care of farm animals, outdoor bird feeders, along with indoor and outdoor plant watering and care. I currently have two cats, Scooter and Goose and they are my world. I am currently working about 20-25 hours a week. My current job is very flexible with hours and time that would allow me to stop in a care for your pets. I am available to do a few days, with the possibility of extending that period of time. I would be able to stop in and care for your pets before I head to work for the day (roughly 4 to 8 hours regularly, but can be flexible) and again after I am done with work for the day before engaging in any activities or turning in for the evening. I am open to stopping in daily and caring for you pets in your home as I dont have much space while I am currently living in the city with roommates and multiple pets in our household. If your pet has a favorite park, or yard to play in, I would be happy to engage in their favorite activities hwith them in those places.

In addition to pets, I also volunteered at the Wildlife Science Center with feeding animals such as foxes, raccoons, bobcats, a lynx, and skunks, and I had the opportunity to care for wolf pups at the International Wolf Center. I am recently retired, so my schedule is flexible. I am available during the day and most evenings and am able to work around your schedule. I currently have two cats and previously had dogs, so I understand the importance of keeping them on a regular schedule. Being around animals gives me joy, so I look forward to spending quality time with your pet. I follow your instructions and make sure to follow your pet’s lead when interacting with them. I send you pictures, so you can see how your pet is doing when you are away. I can also check mail and water plants if needed.

I work rain or shine :) I work long days MTW but am typically free any TH/F/Sa/Su all day to help you and your pets out. MTW could be worked out if necessary but very limited in work hours! Sarah did an excellent job walking Hazel while our family was out of town. She was on time, friendly and great with an energetic lab. She paid special attention when we let her know that Hazel gets anxious while around other dogs and on a leash, and came up with some tricks to ease her anxiety. Xinia has been great with my dog! She shows up on time is very kind to my Frenchie Harriet and even gets her stubborn doggie butt to go on a walk with her. Harriet is usually difficult to walk for strangers as she just stops and acts stubborn. The last time Xinia walked her Harriet was excited to see her for a walk! This is has been wonderful for me since I can't walk her for a while as I just had foot surgery.
