I've had cats since I was a child. Neighbors, roommates, friends, and family have relied on me to take care of pets when they are gone. This has included feeding at a specific time in a specific way and at times giving medication. With a former roommate, I also found and rescued a young female cat during law school, and she turned out to be pregnant. We bathed and brushed her several times to get rid of fleas, got her spayed after pregnancy, and rehomed the kittens. I've had my own cat for a few years now, and I understand needing to maintain their routine and monitoring diet to address issues such as regurgitation of food due to poor city water quality or eating too fast or sensitive stomach issues.
