About: Growing up in a house of animals, and having a small zoo of my own (2 dogs and 2 cats), I have a lot of experience taking care of animals. I have dog and cat sat for friends for years. I am currently available for Drop ins and Walks. I try to spend a bare minimum of 15 minutes with any drop in to make sure they get all the attention that they need. As the owner of a 15 lb dog and a 80 lb dog, I understand that all Walks aren't created equal. My Walks always vary based off of the needs of the dog. I am also an avid cat lover. I am more than happy to stop by and feed, clean the litter box, and snuggle/play with your feline friends. Currently I work full time on the West side of the cities, but I have Sundays and Mondays off to help with your animal needs. My hope is to expand my availability over time. My current weekend lines up with some weekdays. I spend most of those days out and about, so I'd love to check in on some cute animal while I am at it! Slow and steady is always best. I am a believer in letting animals come to you. I have experience with a kennel trained and unkennel trained dogs. About: In addition to living with cats and dogs for most of my life, I have also volunteered as a dog walker at the humane society. In addition to pets, I also volunteered at the Wildlife Science Center with feeding animals such as foxes, raccoons, bobcats, a lynx, and skunks, and I had the opportunity to care for wolf pups at the International Wolf Center. I am recently retired, so my schedule is flexible. I am available during the day and most evenings and am able to work around your schedule. I currently have two cats and previously had dogs, so I understand the importance of keeping them on a regular schedule. Being around animals gives me joy, so I look forward to spending quality time with your pet. I follow your instructions and make sure to follow your pet’s lead when interacting with them. About: I have had and lived with dogs for about 20 years and first pet sat (chickens and two cats) at about age twelve (~14 years ago). I have been watching animals (mostly dogs) with frequency since about age 13. I began by watching the neighbor's dog on occasion, and a couple years later spent the summer volunteering in an animal shelter (cats and dogs). After moving to Minnesota, I began to watch my aunts' dogs and cat when they would go out of town and watched, walked, and cared for my roommate's cat and neighbors' dogs between 2020 and 2024. I still watch my aunts' dog Cinnamon for them periodically and sometimes walk their neighbors' dogs. I grew up with a three-legged golden/lab mix, and following that and other experiences, dogs with special needs such as senior and disabled dogs hold a special place in my heart, as do dogs with anxiety or nervousness. While I have the most experience with dogs, I have also cared for and/or spent time with other pets and critters including cats, chickens, hermit crabs, exotic birds, and goats! I am a recent graduate working very part time while I work on next steps. This fortunately means that I am often free while others are at work during the day and accordingly happy to walk, feed, and keep pets company when you are away. I am generally a calm and put-together type of person. If I am hired to stay over with a dog or cat--as opposed to simply walking/taking them out or feeding them--you can expect me to play with them if they want, or curl up on the couch with a good book if all they want is company/cuddles. My super power with dogs is regulating myself to help regulate them--something I learned working with anxious shelter dogs--I have lost count of the number of times I've heard variations on "I've never seen her/him this calm/friendly meeting someone before."

She went above and beyond with the feeding details and even scratcher positive reinforcement. She took great pictures and all 4 of my kitties liked her, which is not usually how 2 react to strangers! Kelsey was fantastic! Ollie and Lola loved her. She left the house in great shape and we had aproplem with a complaining neighbor (who always complains) that the dogs barked and Kelsey had too many dogs to walk so Kelsey spent the night! Very flexible. She sent photos! I'd hire her again in a heartbeat.
I used to stress about Marcel while I was on vacation, and worry that he was unhappy or sad. When Abbie takes care of him now, I don’t worry about that at all. I know that Abbie takes care of everything he needs and I get good updates every day. When I come home, Marcel is happy and well cared for. 🥰
Alex kept us informed during each visit and made everything work with their work schedule. Our cats were very at ease with Alex and they even gave our kitties extra cuddles beyond the visit time when one of our kitties decided to be a ‘late snuggler’. We would 100% book again with Alex!
I knew from the get-go that Laura was a good fit for us and our pets. Our two kitties warmed up to her immediately. Laura provided regular, detailed updates with lots of photos and we felt confident that our cats and house were in good hands.
