About: I am new to Rover, but I have many years of experience in taking care of animals. In addition to living with cats and dogs for most of my life, I have also volunteered as a dog walker at the humane society. In addition to pets, I also volunteered at the Wildlife Science Center with feeding animals such as foxes, raccoons, bobcats, a lynx, and skunks, and I had the opportunity to care for wolf pups at the International Wolf Center. I am recently retired, so my schedule is flexible. I am available during the day and most evenings and am able to work around your schedule. I currently have two cats and previously had dogs, so I understand the importance of keeping them on a regular schedule. Being around animals gives me joy, so I look forward to spending quality time with your pet. I follow your instructions and make sure to follow your pet’s lead when interacting with them. I send you pictures, so you can see how your pet is doing when you are away. I can also check mail and water plants if needed.

About: Retired educator and small farm owner. Dog and cat owner the past 30+ years. Current family includes a dog and 3 cats. In the past we have had as many as 5 dogs. I have just recently moved to the Twin Cities from a small farm in Illinois. I am retired and have free time nearly every day. I have been taking my pup Hugo for long walks every day as Hugo and I explore all the wonderful outdoor spaces. Just purchased a home in West Saint Paul with a fenced yard for my pup Hugo. In addition, I go for a one hour plus walk most days with Hugo. I love to be active and love dogs and cats. The cats are still adapting to being inside as they transition from farm living to urban life.

About: Growing up in a house of animals, and having a small zoo of my own (2 dogs and 2 cats), I have a lot of experience taking care of animals. I have dog and cat sat for friends for years. I am currently available for Drop ins and Walks. I try to spend a bare minimum of 15 minutes with any drop in to make sure they get all the attention that they need. As the owner of a 15 lb dog and a 80 lb dog, I understand that all Walks aren't created equal. My Walks always vary based off of the needs of the dog. I am also an avid cat lover. I am more than happy to stop by and feed, clean the litter box, and snuggle/play with your feline friends. Currently I work full time on the West side of the cities, but I have Sundays and Mondays off to help with your animal needs. My hope is to expand my availability over time. My current weekend lines up with some weekdays. I spend most of those days out and about, so I'd love to check in on some cute animal while I am at it! Slow and steady is always best. I am a believer in letting animals come to you. I have experience with a kennel trained and unkennel trained dogs. So, I just was so thankful for Rover, and for Danielle. Asking neighbors is difficult, because they have their own lives to live. One time I had to make arrangements with 4 different neighbors / friends to cover a one-month absence. Rover completely relieves that anxiety for me. I specifically liked Danielle a lot. I tend to be wordy, but I appreciate pithiness in others. Danielle was just right. Gave me nice updates, frequently just photos, but with a word or two of commentary occasionally. One thing that especially impressed me: when I introduced Danielle to our condo association manager, Danielle, on her own initiative, said "Do you want to see identification," and began digging into her bag for something. Martha said, yes, please. Danielle showed her a driver license (I presumed). That seemed professional and reassuring to me. Danielle left my place as clean or cleaner than when I had left 23 days previously. She was just real nice and competent and professional, I thought. So, I am super-pleased with how well things went. I really did have peace of mind regarding my cat as I tried to negotiate trains, subways, skytrains, buses, boats, and taxis in Japan and Bangkok. And that was worth a lot to me.
We can't say enough good things about Amanda. Our cat gets very anxious whenever we travel, so leaving him is always stressful for us too. Amanda made it easy. She was incredibly communicative, sent regular updates, and clearly cared about making our cat comfortable. It was a huge relief to know he was in such good hands. We'll definitely be booking Amanda again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter!
Jill is the pet sitting equivalent of the cool aunt! She rolls into town and spoils my cats with treats, cuddles, petting and everything they love for what appears to be a very action packed visit with my boys. I can tell they are in love with her and showing off for her in the pictures that she sends me. It’s great knowing they are in such good hands and makes it easier for me to leave them behind.
Michelle took fantastic care of our two dogs and a cat! She came over to meet our animals she’d of time and review their needs and care. She was great with all The animals and her care shone through! She was on time, communication was ongoing throughout our trip and we chatted about any updates and any issues while we were away! Fully recommend and we will have Michelle watch our animals again!
Shayla did an excellent job taking care of our 3 cats! They are all senior cats with three different foods for each of their special needs and medications for one of them. Fresh water was in their bowls, litter boxes were cleaned, mail brought in & plants watered. We will definately request Shayla again for our next time away!
Sara took wonderful care of our cat who can be quite shy. We came home to a happy kitty. Communication was great with daily photos, some even included the elusive cat. Sara even took care of putting peanuts out for the blue jays in our feeder. Highly recommend Sara and would gladly rebook.
