“Blake is a great sitter! He’s punctual and professional, but, most of all, he obviously cares for dogs. He did a great job giving belly rubs and long walks to my dog while we were out of town.”

“Andrea was great. She arranged meetings free of charge to see if everything was a good fit before we committed. She often sent pictures to us to let us know our puppy was well taken care of. She also gave us many tips that were well appreciated as first-time puppy owners. Your pooch will be in great hands if you go with Andrea.”

“You did an amazing job! We loved your updates and felt very secure knowing you were around to take care of Poppy. We thought it was really cute how you’d shape her food for her. Thank you so much!”

“Jennifer had great communication and was always sure to send photos of the kitties during her visits. She was even able to get my shy kitties to come out for treats 🥰”

“Katie was great, she came through on a somewhat last minute request when my prior sitter was no longer available, and made it work! I came home to a pretty mellow kitty and had the ease of knowing she was getting some love while I was away. No complaints!!”

“Lindsay took good care of our skittish and shy cat while we were out of town and even got her comfortable enough to come out a little. Her communication was great and we appreciated the pictures. Thank you, Lindsay!”

“Jenna was awesome! Really helped me out with a short notice need. Dropped in to visit with my silly border collie. Followed instructions and communicated perfectly and sent great pictures!”

“Paige was wonderful with our kitties. They were happy when we returned, so we could tell they'd gotten lots of snuggles. And she pilled our senior cat twice a day, which isn't the easiest task. We'll definitely reach out to her again!”

About: Growing up in a house of animals, and having a small zoo of my own (2 dogs and 2 cats), I have a lot of experience taking care of animals. I have dog and cat sat for friends for years. I am currently available for Drop ins and Walks. I try to spend a bare minimum of 15 minutes with any drop in to make sure they get all the attention that they need. As the owner of a 15 lb dog and a 80 lb dog, I understand that all Walks aren't created equal. My Walks always vary based off of the needs of the dog. I am also an avid cat lover. I am more than happy to stop by and feed, clean the litter box, and snuggle/play with your feline friends. Currently I work full time on the West side of the cities, but I have Sundays and Mondays off to help with your animal needs. My hope is to expand my availability over time. My current weekend lines up with some weekdays. I spend most of those days out and about, so I'd love to check in on some cute animal while I am at it! Slow and steady is always best. I am a believer in letting animals come to you. I have experience with a kennel trained and unkennel trained dogs. As the owner of a 15 lb dog and a 80 lb dog, I am experienced in walking all sizes of dogs.
About: Over the years, I’ve been trusted to stay overnight at the homes of neighbors, friends, and family. I have experience with dogs of all ages (ex. Puppies, very high energy dogs, senior dogs, and those who are a little stubborn or reactive). I’m comfortable with feeding, giving medication, long walks, and keeping pets on their usual routine. I have a flexible work schedule and can give walks in the morning and/or afternoon and evening. I’m happy to work with any size or breed. I’m flexible, reliable, and always willing to adapt to the needs and schedule of both you and your pet! I currently work remotely, Monday–Friday. This means I’m able to stay home with your pet during weekdays (or provide walks/drop ins at any time), and I’m fully available on weekends. Im happy to provide bathroom breaks, walks, or overnight stays with your pet. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine as closely as possible so their dog feels comfortable and safe. I make sure they get regular walks, playtime, feeding, medication if needed, and plenty of attention. I keep the home tidy, follow any house rules, and send updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Hannah was absolutely fantastic with our pups over the weekend! She did great with administering oral medication to our senior dog and arrived on time and stayed the full length of the visit for every visit. Our dogs love her and we can’t wait to book with her next time!”

About: I grew up with cats, dogs, a bearded dragon, and a whole lot of fish. I have a soft spot for spicy cats as I have one of my own. Currently, live in a space where I can't have a dog but if I could it would be a loveable rescue who loves to play and to go on walks. I've taken care of many friends and family pets over the years and excited to make some new furry (and scaly) friends! Through the summer my schedule is very flexible. I work at an elementary school as a reading tutor so during the school year I am available late afternoons/evenings and weekends. I am organized, outgoing, and friendly and as long as you have detailed instructions I feel confident taking care of your pets in your home.
About: I grew up on a dairy farm, and have been around many different animals over the years. I started out pet sitting for friends of family members, and families in my local community in my spare time. I have also taken care of a few senior pets over the years by making sure they get their right medications and foods throughout my stay. I also help take care of farm animals, outdoor bird feeders, along with indoor and outdoor plant watering and care. I currently have two cats, Scooter and Goose and they are my world. I am currently working about 20-25 hours a week. My current job is very flexible with hours and time that would allow me to stop in a care for your pets. I am available to do a few days, with the possibility of extending that period of time. I would be able to stop in and care for your pets before I head to work for the day (roughly 4 to 8 hours regularly, but can be flexible) and again after I am done with work for the day before engaging in any activities or turning in for the evening. I am open to stopping in daily and caring for you pets in your home as I dont have much space while I am currently living in the city with roommates and multiple pets in our household. If your pet has a favorite park, or yard to play in, I would be happy to engage in their favorite activities hwith them in those places.

About: I have cared for pets ever since I can remember. I grew up with Labrador retrievers and was always wondering how I could enrich their life next. My involvement in the 4h Dog project when I was younger and my continuing passion for animals lead me to peruse my bachelor's in Companion Animal sciences at UW- River Falls. Since, I have spent the last 5 years as a Pet Stylist in Woodbury. My 2 year old Miniature American Shepherd, Goose, and I have trained in obedience, agility, barn hunt and more. I am working as a Pet Stylist 4 days a week. I would be available to watch your pet most weeknights, as well as during the day om Thursday's and Friday's! I am currently not able to take pets into my home, but I will be very happy to keep your pet happy and comfortable in yours!
“Kelsey did a great job caring for our two kitties. She was responsive and communicative and very easy to work with. We received photos and written updates at every visit. We will happily use her again when our neighbor children are unavailable.”

“Kayleah is great! She helped us out last minute and was so efficient with communication during our time away. Our cat is also very particular about strangers and she did a great job taking care of him. We will continue to book her if we ever need someone to take care of our little fur babies while we’re gone.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Saint Paul
Julie was fantastic! She clearly understands cat body language and genuinely enjoys spending time with cats, which was very important to us. Our cat, Pepper, is extremely social, and it was obvious Julie enjoyed visiting and playing with her. She also took so many adorable, high-quality photos during each visit, which gave us peace of mind and made being away from Pepper much easier. Julie followed all of our care instructions carefully, including Pepper's feeding routine, and kept the litter boxes clean throughout our trip. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat. We're extremely satisfied with Julie's care and wouldn't hesitate to book her again. She's someone you can absolutely trust to take excellent care of your cat.

I am undoubtedly an anxious mess when I leave my cats. Jill was so thorough, kind, and understanding! She did an excellent job of following my instructions to the T and provided lengthy comprehensive updates that eased my anxiety. I know my babies were in good hands! I would gladly book Jill again!

Kelsey was fantastic! Ollie and Lola loved her. She left the house in great shape and we had aproplem with a complaining neighbor (who always complains) that the dogs barked and Kelsey had too many dogs to walk so Kelsey spent the night! Very flexible. She sent photos! I'd hire her again in a heartbeat.
I knew from the get-go that Laura was a good fit for us and our pets. Our two kitties warmed up to her immediately. Laura provided regular, detailed updates with lots of photos and we felt confident that our cats and house were in good hands. They were happy when we returned and didn’t even seem upset that we were gone. Thank you, Laura - we hope you are available next time we’re out of town!

Hannah was a miracle worker! My kitties absolutely adored her and she sent helpful photos and updates. She is very responsible and communicative, and obviously very capable with animals. I would have her back in a heartbeat! Thank you for treating my babies like you’re own!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
