“Jennifer had great communication and was always sure to send photos of the kitties during her visits. She was even able to get my shy kitties to come out for treats 🥰”

“Donna took great care of our two cats over the holidays and updated us regularly. They seemed very happy and calmer than usual when we got back. It was our first time booking through Rover and we really appreciated the positive experience! Would be happy to have her sit for us again. Thanks!”

“Thanks so much for taking care of my babies! Isabella did a great job, as a flight attendant who was already gone on a work trip and needed last-minute help, she came through and did a fantastic job!”

“Bonnie has been spectacular with my dog. On time, responsive, and really seems to enjoy her time with him. I'm very glad to have found Bonnie on rover and will definitely use her again in the future without hesitation. Thanks!”

About: My family and friends have depended on me for many years to take care of their cats and dogs. I am a reliable pet-sitter who loves animals. I work full-time from my home Monday through Thursday and can adjust my schedule accordingly to meet the needs of my clients. My availability Friday through Sunday is very flexible. I do not have a dog, but have walked/taken care of dogs of my family and friends. I have a cat who runs my household. I have had cats in the past with specific medical and dietary needs (diabetes requiring insulin shots, kidney disease requiring a special diet and have administered medicine numerous times over the past 28 years).
“Paige is the BEST! Leo loved hanging with her and she took GREAT care of our baby boy! Even cleaned up poop on our couch after Leo was upset we left him! I highly recommend her ♥️”

“Let my boy Odie out and fed him when I had some early and long mornings at work! Great communication and able to accommodate an early drop in time. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Billy was an exceptional sitter from start to finish! He was incredibly responsible and communicative throughout the entire process, which made me feel completely at ease. I really appreciated how respectful he was of my time when he came to meet my dog for the first time—he was punctual, professional, and clearly experienced with animals. My dog took to him right away, and it was obvious Billy has a natural connection with pets. He kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me such peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend Billy to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and trustworthy sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with him again!”

“Andrea was great. She arranged meetings free of charge to see if everything was a good fit before we committed. She often sent pictures to us to let us know our puppy was well taken care of. She also gave us many tips that were well appreciated as first-time puppy owners. Your pooch will be in great hands if you go with Andrea.”

“Danielle was attentive, always in contact, and did her due diligence in dealing with my reactive dog. I could not have asked for a better sitter while I was gone for family reasons. If she’d be willing I’d definitely book her again!”

About: I have a bachelors degree in animal conservation and marine biology. I also grew up with both cats and dogs, as well as rodents, fish, and lizards. I've been pet sitting for 7 years and worked at a doggy daycare. I love all animals big and small and am comfortable with big dogs and all manner of temperaments in cats. I'm currently available for boarding 7 days a week. I'm never away from my apartment for long and will dedicate all of my time to caring for your pet! I live in a safe apartment and area that's pet friendly! I don't have any cats/dogs, just a friendly leopard gecko! I also don't leave food laying around and pets are allowed on my furniture!
“Katie was great, she came through on a somewhat last minute request when my prior sitter was no longer available, and made it work! I came home to a pretty mellow kitty and had the ease of knowing she was getting some love while I was away. No complaints!!”

About: I’m a dependable and caring pet lover who treats every pet like family. I also volunteer at a local cat shelter and have experience caring for my own dogs and cats and friends and family’s pets when needed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, administering basic medications, and keeping pets on their normal routines so they feel safe and happy while you’re away. I’m responsible, detail-oriented, and always make sure pets get the love, exercise, and care they deserve. Fun fact: I am also a Nurse so I am familiar with caring for others, mediations and recognizing changes in conditions! I’m currently working full time 3 12 hour shifts per week overnight as a nurse in a hospital. I have a lot of days off and prefer to work on my off days. My schedule varies each week, but I am willing to be flexible and open about sharing my schedule and working with you to help care for your pet. My cats have their own bedroom. I use a liter robot for waste removal, have scheduled play time, and administer their food on a schedule. Routine is important to them, but I also will do something fun or extravagant with them every once in a while, such as taking them on a walk in my pet stroller.
“Our first visit & Lauren was phenomenal with my fur babies. She was patient and let my dog take the lead on their walk. She refilled water dishes, pre-treated a mess that was left by my family from earlier in the day. She is very respectful of my home and caring to my dogs. I have found my go to sitter/walker for my dogs.”

“Rachel did a great job taking care of our cat while we were out of town. We loved getting our daily Pickles update and she was a happy cat when we got home!”

About: Growing up in a house of animals, and having a small zoo of my own (2 dogs and 2 cats), I have a lot of experience taking care of animals. I have dog and cat sat for friends for years. I am currently available for Drop ins and Walks. I try to spend a bare minimum of 15 minutes with any drop in to make sure they get all the attention that they need. As the owner of a 15 lb dog and a 80 lb dog, I understand that all Walks aren't created equal. My Walks always vary based off of the needs of the dog. I am also an avid cat lover. I am more than happy to stop by and feed, clean the litter box, and snuggle/play with your feline friends. Currently I work full time on the West side of the cities, but I have Sundays and Mondays off to help with your animal needs. My hope is to expand my availability over time. My current weekend lines up with some weekdays. I spend most of those days out and about, so I'd love to check in on some cute animal while I am at it! Slow and steady is always best. I am a believer in letting animals come to you. I have experience with a kennel trained and unkennel trained dogs. As the owner of a 15 lb dog and a 80 lb dog, I am experienced in walking all sizes of dogs.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - South Saint Paul
Paige continues to be a great sitter for our pets! It’s great being able to relax when we’re out of town knowing that our furry kids are well cared for and excited when she comes through the door. Communications are always great and the care card updates help us see how happy the dogs are.

Emily was great with our cat Mila and even came to meet her before we left on our vacation. She followed all instructions, communicated well with us, and was very dependable. We were comforted in knowing she would come on time to make sure Mila got her foods and meds, a few treats and also some ear and head scratches.

Summer did a great job giving my cat his medication. She did not always stay the full 30 minutes according to the app which was understandable on a holiday booking, but my cats were well cared for with her and I would be comfortable leaving them in her care again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
