About: Between my own family and my wife's, I've had alot of experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I've house sat for elderly dogs and raised and trained our own puppy. I've rescued half a dozen lost dogs from our neighborhood. Every dog I meet gets lots of love and yours would be no exception! We already have our miniature poodle pup Winston, so your pup would fit right in with us! I am working from home the vast majority of the time and if I was gone, my wife would be there. As the kid who was always the first to notice when a dog needed to go out and do its business, I'm very attentive to the needs of all dogs. Your pup will be a part of our family during their stay and kept company by my whole family.
About: Leaving your four legged loved ones at home when you go on vacation is never easy. I strive to make sure they feel cared for and loved while you are away so you don't need to worry! I have over 18 years experience caring for animals of my own, rescue fosters, and shelter animals, and caring for other's pets while they are away. I am a lifelong animal lover with experience with cats, dogs, and small animals like ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, chickens, and more. I have cats and dogs of my own currently. Whether you are looking for a dog walker, a drop-in pet sitter (dogs, cats, other), or a comfortable place to board your four-legged (or more or less) family members, I can be of service to you. I live in a single family home with a fully fenced in backyard, and a separate dedicated nicely sized bedroom dedicate to boarding small animals. Whether I'm housing your pets or visiting your home, my goal is always to make them as comfortable and as happy as possible! I am a full time Rover, so I am home a lot, but I do leave for dog walks and drop-ins, though I am usually not gone for more than 2 hours at a time. I am available for boarding, walking, and drop-ins, on a relatively flexible schedule. I am also offering sitter pick-ups and drop-offs as a boarding add-on. My style of pet care is catering to their needs and your desires. I have experience with shy, rowdy, low-energy, and other types of personalities. Each pet and each situation requires a unique approach.
“Let my boy Odie out and fed him when I had some early and long mornings at work! Great communication and able to accommodate an early drop in time. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Rachel did a great job taking care of our cat while we were out of town. We loved getting our daily Pickles update and she was a happy cat when we got home!”

About: I grew up with dogs, and have had dogs and a cat of my (our) own for nearly 12 years. I have also fostered dogs and cats for the past decade (~30 animals), and am comfortable with many types of animal personalities, including reactivity, shyness, and anxiety. I will meet your pet where they’re at, and let them lead our interactions. Currently have 2 senior dogs and am comfortable with medication administration. I work hybrid and am flexible with my schedule. I do not work Sun/Mon, and work from home generally W/F and am generally much more flexible those days. I am in the office Tues/Thurs but generally only gone up to 4-6 hours at a time. (I have some flexibility on this as well). Much of my work is event based, so there are also times evenings/Saturday mornings I will need to be gone, approximately for 3-4 hours. If I need to be gone for an evening, I will make a point to spend more time at your home and with your pet during daytime hours. In general 6 hours would be the max time between potty breaks, etc. I am currently only available to sit in your home or for drop in visits (we have a full house with our fosters). I will treat your home as a guest in it; I’m tidy and will clean up after me and your pets! What is helpful for me to know is what your pet’s typical day looks like, if they have any favorite or important parts to their routine, and ways they like to get stimulation (walk, play, puzzles). Where do they sleep? As much information as you can tell me about your pet is better so I can keep things as normal for them as possible!
About: Hi! My name is Allie and I've spent most of my life loving and caring for pets in multiple different environments over the years. I grew up with a bushel of miniature schnauzers, a few rodents and a snake. In college I took in a feral barn kitten and made her the talk of the university! After college, I spent 5-6 years working in a dog daycare facility which gave me experience with all different breeds and an immense amount of knowledge on behavior. After doggy daycare I moved on to working in a veterinary hospital which was an incredible resource and opportunity for me to increase me knowledge on medications as well as other medical knowledge. I would love to have the opportunity to spoil your pet as well as give you a safe space to leave your furry friend! Over the summer I am out of work and home with my pups and kids. In late August I will be headed back to work at a school nearby but working relatively short hours. We love to go on walks, to the dog park, the human park or just lounge in the back yard. I live in a 4 bedroom house with a large back yard. It is not fenced in but I do have a long line. I have a 12 year old pup who is a calm, unbothered queen and a year old pup who loves everyone and everything. In addition, I have 2 kiddos that are incredibly respectful of other pets space and will love your pets as much as their own however they can be crated if needed 😉
“Madeline was great! I had a last minute need for a drop in visit and Madeline was very quick at responding and accommodating. My cat does not like other people but he came out of hiding when Madeline visited which speaks volumes!”

“Jamie is absolutely amazing. She really cares and you can tell. Conan (Vizsla - 5yrs old) fell in love with her the minute they met! And he was such a happy and tired boy when I returned home. Thank you Jamie for taking such good care of my baby!”

“Lyndsy did a great job with our little puppy! It was great piece of mind to read her report and see pictures of our little girl. I highly recommend her for anyone who needs dog care, as she is calm and thorough, giving love and great care to our puppy.”

“Kaiden was great with Mylo. He came on short notice, sent pictures and was extremely responsive which we appreciate! Will definitely use again and refer to friends/family.”

Monika is great! We look forward to booking her again in the future. We, and the cats, loved having Monika check in. The cats gave her rave reviews. They were so well cared for while we were away. Our older cat got the support and her medication that she needs. Our younger shy cat came each time she stopped in, and seemed to really enjoy her visits. Monika was great to send pictures and updates to us. We appreciate Monika and her reliable and outstanding cat care!

Heather is an absolute gem to work with. 💜Her energy is so warm and inviting, I knew right away she was the sitter for my cat. She bring a calming, soothing presence that I know her animal, and human, friends appreciate! Thank you so, so much, Heather! ~Carrissa, Tom, Sage

We’ve used Jessica several times, and she’s been fantastic every time. She’s consistently available on short notice, always punctual, and very polite. Even though we’re not home during her visits, our hairless cat, who is extremely selective about people, comes out to see her and happily lets Jessica pet her. That alone says a lot. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

This was the 3rd time Carolyn cared for my cats while I was away, and she continued to be great. I especially appreciate the persistence through some access issues (my fault). I always get great notes and tons of photos... Thank you Carolyn, for letting me travel knowing my babies are safe.

Paula was exceptional with our cats! She followed our instructions and was very responsive. She has extended experience caring for special needs kitties and has done an absolute incredible job with our ckd Salem who rewuired a lot of care. All the cats felt comfortable around her and always came out to greet and eat (even the shy ones). We are very grateful for Paula!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
