“Erica was great. We did a meet and greet before hand and my very nervous dogs warmed up to her immediately. She sent frequent updates and pictures! In one picture my dog was licking her face so I know that loved her!! We will be using her again in the future :)”

About: Caring for animals has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with pets and owned several of my own as an adult, so I know firsthand what it means to love an animal like family and what owners need when they hand them off to someone else. I'm comfortable with the full range of needs: puppies, senior pets, animals with medical conditions or special diets, and multiple pets at once. I've administered daily medications, followed strict feeding routines, and handled it all without missing a beat. Because I don't currently have pets of my own, I bring a lot of enthusiasm to every sit. Honestly, I miss having animals around and your pets get the full benefit of that. I take this seriously enough that clients have flown me across the country to care for their animals, which I think says more than anything else I could write in a bio. If you're looking for someone who will love your pets like their own and give you genuine peace of mind while you're away, I'd love to meet both you and them. Pet care isn't something I squeeze into my day. It is my day. I'm fully available and not juggling a rigid 9-to-5, which means your pets get consistent attention and care throughout the day rather than just morning and evening check-ins. Walks, feeding times, medications, cuddles, everything happens on their schedule, not mine. Whether you need someone for a quick drop-in or an extended house sit, I'm flexible and can make it work. I primarily care for pets in their own home because I believe animals are happiest in a familiar environment. Uprooting them from their space adds unnecessary stress, and keeping them in their element means they stay calmer, eat better, and settle in faster. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect I would my own. I stick to your pet's existing routine as closely as possible, follow all instructions to the letter, and keep everything clean and tidy throughout my stay. I send regular photo updates so you always know how things are going without having to ask. My goal is simple: for you to come home to a happy pet and a home that looks exactly as you left it. The trust you place in me when you hand over your keys and your animals is something I take seriously, and I make sure you feel that from day one.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, so caring for animals and having them around has always been a normal part of my day-to-day life. I’m comfortable with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels, and I understand that every pet has their own routine and way of feeling comfortable. I work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attention throughout the day, keep up with regular walks and feeding schedules, and spend time with pets rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Whether your pet loves long walks and playtime or would rather relax nearby while I work, I’m happy to adapt to what they’re used to at home. I offer both boarding in my home and house sitting, and my priority is making your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’ll follow your normal routines and instructions closely and provide regular updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is in good hands. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m home throughout most of the day and can provide regular walks, potty breaks, meals, playtime, and plenty of attention. My schedule is flexible, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. I want pets to feel safe and comfortable while they’re in my care, whether they’re staying with me or I’m caring for them in their own home. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, and household routines, and I’m happy to accommodate crates or other routines your pet is used to. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.
“Elizabeth always goes above and beyond to care for our dogs. You can tell this is her priority above all else, and always ensures they are safe and taken care of. 10/5 would recommend”

“Liz is so reliable and accommodating. I wish we traveled more often so my dogs could spend more time with time with her. They are always well cared for and happy when we come home”

“Kayleah is great! She helped us out last minute and was so efficient with communication during our time away. Our cat is also very particular about strangers and she did a great job taking care of him. We will continue to book her if we ever need someone to take care of our little fur babies while we’re gone.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for more than 20 years, including pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors with pets of all ages, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior animals needing a little extra patience and attention. I’ve had many dogs and cats throughout my life and currently have a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd named Mitzi. My experience also includes caring for hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, rabbits, and horses. I grew up involved in 4-H and around veterinary knowledge through my father, who attended veterinary school, which helped build my comfort and confidence around a wide variety of animals. I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and routine and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I currently work on my own schedule as a Microbiology and Food Safety consultant, which allows me lots of flexibility when it comes to pet care, whether that means long play sessions, a walk around the block, or just a quick check-in. My unique work schedule allows me to be available during weekdays as well as on weekends. Whether your pet enjoys long walks or quality time on the couch, I’m happy to adjust my schedule to fit the needs of your pet. I always treat animals with respect and let them set the tone. Making sure pets feel safe and comfortable is my number one priority. I focus on keeping your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, bathroom breaks, and any other specific needs your pet may have. I’m happy to spend time playing, going for walks, or simply keeping them company depending on their personality and energy level. I’ll also make sure they have fresh water, a clean and comfortable space, and plenty of attention. During house sitting, I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing.

“Andrea went above and beyond taking care of our pets while we were out of town! Very responsive and genuinely cared for our pets. I felt at ease and knew that they were in good hands.”

About: I’ve always been such a dog person! I got my first dog when I was 12 and have dog sat and walked dogs over the years! I lived with my previous partners cats for a year and a half and now have 3 cats of my own and can’t imagine life without them! I am mostly available in the evenings during the week and during the day on the weekends! My work schedule times can vary so some days I may be more or less available than others. I do start school in the fall as well, so Wednesdays and Thursdays I will be off work and will be free to care for your fur babies after class! I will always care for pets in clients homes as if they were my own fur babies! They will always have my attention and be in the best care!
“Katie was great, she came through on a somewhat last minute request when my prior sitter was no longer available, and made it work! I came home to a pretty mellow kitty and had the ease of knowing she was getting some love while I was away. No complaints!!”

“Nora was really easy to work with, prompt with her visits and I think the kitties really loved her! Thanks so much for your additional help with topaz’s medication and giving them so many pets!”

“Katrina took purrfect care of our two cats while we were on vacation! Very punctual, organized, and professional. It was a delight getting daily updates. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality care of their fuzzy companions.”

“Our dogs are happy when we leave so they can have their BFF Sharron come to play! Wipes away the guilt of being away when they feel like they’re on their own vacation.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
