About: I got my first dog (Winston) when he was a puppy and have been through it all with him, including puppy training! Although he’s older now, Winston is still full of energy and super playful, so I do well with active and energetic dogs. When he does have his calmer moments, I’m always there for a short walk with lots of stops to lay in the grass! Additionally, I’ve worked with senior dogs in the past. I have experience administering daily oral medication and going for walks with dogs that have mobility issues, such as arthritis and weak knees. I love to go on daily walks, often in the late afternoon or early mornings, and always enjoy the company of a furry friend! On the weekends I am available throughout the whole day for walks and playtime. I have years of experience walking my own dog in a city environment and am always focused on my surroundings, from cars to food on the sidewalk, to ensure his safety and enjoyment. Additionally, I have a lot of experience working with dogs that have anxiety. Winston is very sensitive to certain noises, such as the shuffling of playing cards, so I always make sure to avoid using cards around him. When entering a client’s home, I always make sure to treat the space exactly how I would want my space to be treated; with care and respect.

About: I grew up with dogs, and have had dogs and a cat of my (our) own for nearly 12 years. I have also fostered dogs and cats for the past decade (~30 animals), and am comfortable with many types of animal personalities, including reactivity, shyness, and anxiety. I will meet your pet where they’re at, and let them lead our interactions. Currently have 2 senior dogs and am comfortable with medication administration. I work hybrid and am flexible with my schedule. I do not work Sun/Mon, and work from home generally W/F and am generally much more flexible those days. I am in the office Tues/Thurs but generally only gone up to 4-6 hours at a time. (I have some flexibility on this as well). Much of my work is event based, so there are also times evenings/Saturday mornings I will need to be gone, approximately for 3-4 hours. If I need to be gone for an evening, I will make a point to spend more time at your home and with your pet during daytime hours. In general 6 hours would be the max time between potty breaks, etc. I am currently only available to sit in your home or for drop in visits (we have a full house with our fosters). I will treat your home as a guest in it; I’m tidy and will clean up after me and your pets! What is helpful for me to know is what your pet’s typical day looks like, if they have any favorite or important parts to their routine, and ways they like to get stimulation (walk, play, puzzles). Where do they sleep? As much information as you can tell me about your pet is better so I can keep things as normal for them as possible!

About: I grew up with cats and dogs, and I've got two cats and a doggo of my own. I'll treat your pup like their part of my pack. I'm working from home on Mondays and in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday. I can come home over lunch if boarding during the week. I have a fenced in yard and a great neighborhood for taking walks. I can provide a separate room for pets, as well as a crate, if needed.

About: Caring for animals has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with pets and owned several of my own as an adult, so I know firsthand what it means to love an animal like family and what owners need when they hand them off to someone else. I'm comfortable with the full range of needs: puppies, senior pets, animals with medical conditions or special diets, and multiple pets at once. I've administered daily medications, followed strict feeding routines, and handled it all without missing a beat. I'm fully available and not juggling a rigid 9-to-5, which means your pets get consistent attention and care throughout the day rather than just morning and evening check-ins. Walks, feeding times, medications, cuddles, everything happens on their schedule, not mine. Whether you need someone for a quick drop-in or an extended house sit, I'm flexible and can make it work. I primarily care for pets in their own home because I believe animals are happiest in a familiar environment. Uprooting them from their space adds unnecessary stress, and keeping them in their element means they stay calmer, eat better, and settle in faster. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect I would my own. I stick to your pet's existing routine as closely as possible, follow all instructions to the letter, and keep everything clean and tidy throughout my stay. I send regular photo updates so you always know how things are going without having to ask. My goal is simple: for you to come home to a happy pet and a home that looks exactly as you left it. The trust you place in me when you hand over your keys and your animals is something I take seriously, and I make sure you feel that from day one.

About: I've had pets since I was a child. My best friend and I would catch lizards and insects growing up. I've volunteered at my local shelter (in Florida), and I often visit shelters to give animals attention. Friends and coworkers know me for my love for animals and entrust me with their care when they are away for a work day or an extended period of time. LGBTQIA+ friendly Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I live and work full-time in downtown St. Paul with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide care on workdays—whether that’s walks, check-ins, or some quality time. On weekends, I’m able to dedicate full days to pet care. I love going on neighborhood walks and outdoor excursions when the weather’s nice, and I’d be happy to have your fur baby join me. I always meet each pet where they’re at, whether they need lots of activity or a little extra emotional support. When caring for pets—whether in my home or a client’s—I focus on giving each animal the kind of attention and interaction that fits their personality. I’m happy to provide all the pets, cuddles, and playtime they want, but I always let them set the pace. I love playing fetch, being chased (or doing the chasing!), and I’m comfortable engaging in a bit of rough play with larger breeds when appropriate to help them burn off energy. I always respect an animal’s space and let them approach me first. With cats, for example, I’ll take things slowly and use gentle cues like slow blinking to help build trust. Whether your pet loves being a lap companion or just wants a calm presence nearby, I’m attentive to their needs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in any environment.

About: When my friends go on vacation, I am the first person they call to petsit! Animals warm up to my calm demeaner quickly, and I've been told by pet owners that their shy animals have never been so friendly to a new person so fast before. I have experience caring for cats & kittens, dogs, and birds. I am very patient and gentle with animals, seeking to understand their physical and vocal cues to know what they need. I am also an expert at playing fetch and tug of war with dogs, and my expertise with cat feather wands means the cat usually gets tired before I do. I love walking, so it's a bonus if your pup wants to come with! I am a graduate student at St. Thomas with a part-time tutoring job during the school year, so I have plenty of gaps in my schedule to care for your pet. This means that I can spend time during the day, night, and weekend with your pet, including returning home for potty or play breaks in between tutoring or classes, depending on the needs of your pet. I am also available to stay overnight with your pet, so long as they don't mind helping me with my homework! I am vigilant and aware while pet sitting, making sure I know where your pet is and never leaving any doors, gates, or windows open. For example, my friend lives in an apartment and has two kittens who like to escape into the hallway, so I also create a barrier when I open his front door to ensure they stay inside. His windows also don't have screens, so I make sure they are always shut and locked up tight. I love interacting with and talking with animals when they are around, so even if I am busy working on my own projects, I'll take frequent breaks to catch up with your pets and give them attention.

About: Someone who grew up with at least two rescue dogs in the house at all time, a few cats and horses, I've taken care of animals of all sizes, breeds, personalities, ages, and needs throughout my lifetime. I've even seen kittens born! I raised and loved the one I chose to mine, finally saying goodbye when she reached the ripe age of 21. Whether it is puppies / kittens, mid-life, or elderly I have experienced all the life stages of our fur babies. I've also dealt with the not so fun parts of being a fur baby parent. From cleaning up hairballs or puke because the dog decided to eat grass, cleaning a dog who decided it was a good idea to go for a swim in the pond, or literally breaking up cat fights... I've been there. Because I teach, and right now school is out, I would be home during the majority of the day during the summer for pet sitting. Come the school year, I would be away between school hours. Because right now I'm working part-time I have plenty of extra time to fit walking your fur baby into my schedule! I have a large porch which leads down to a fenced-in yard. My fur baby personally loves sunning himself on the porch or going down to the yard and just exploring. The apartment itself is a renovated music studio so it is wide, spacious, and beautifully designed. Your fur baby would have his own feeding area and you are welcome to bring any toys or other comfort items. I've had to board my cat before so I know how important the small things are.

About: I asked for a dog for Christmas every single year while I was growing up. My dad had his reasons, so the next best thing was to walk my neighbors Pomeranian (named Snuggles), which I did aaaaalllll the time. In college, I would dog sit for my coach here and there. My brother has a golden retriever that I have spent a lot of time with. And recently, I had my first experience of having my own dog. Technically it was my roommates dog, but I loved her like she was mine. I would take her on walks just because and when my roommate was out of the country for 2 weeks, I was the dog auntie. I'm a middle school math teacher, so I have ALL the availability in the summer. Once the school year rolls around, I'll be available in the evenings and on the weekends. I am more than willing to have your pet in my car if we need to get to walking trails, lakes, and other pet friendly places to walk. This would only be if you are comfortable with me taking your pet to a different location, otherwise I am happy to do neighborhood walks.

About: I have over 2 years of experience working at dog daycares! With both cats and dogs. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat at home! I have experience administering medicine as I worked at a dog daycare in Fargo for 2 years. Additionally, I have experience de-escalating dangerous situations with animals and have been trained in animal CPR and first aid. I feed my cat at the same times every day and make sure to always find time to play with her. Pet care is naturally a part of my daily routine and I am very well organized and flexible enough to be able to add more. I would care for the pets in your home by following your instructions/guidelines and treating them how I would want my animals to be treated.

About: I am new to Rover, but I have many years of experience in taking care of animals. In addition to living with cats and dogs for most of my life, I have also volunteered as a dog walker at the humane society. In addition to pets, I also volunteered at the Wildlife Science Center with feeding animals such as foxes, raccoons, bobcats, a lynx, and skunks, and I had the opportunity to care for wolf pups at the International Wolf Center. I am recently retired, so my schedule is flexible. I am available during the day and most evenings and am able to work around your schedule. I currently have two cats and previously had dogs, so I understand the importance of keeping them on a regular schedule. Being around animals gives me joy, so I look forward to spending quality time with your pet. I follow your instructions and make sure to follow your pet’s lead when interacting with them. About: My first German Shepard, Sheeba, trotted into my life when I was 4, and my intense, burning passion for dogs ignited. I’ve had them throughout my life and have yet to meet a dog I didn’t adore. Basically, I’m the guy at house parties in the office alone smooshing your pup’s face and giving them belly rubs. I’m comfortable with all sorts of breeds and temperaments. I work remote in a deadline based job that offers me some excellent flexibility. I’m able to be on site with your dog throughout the day, ensuring they get plenty of attention and outside time. When I’m caring for your dog, I’m caring for your family member. I know firsthand the amount of trust it takes to allow someone to be responsible for your loved one(s) and respect your property, and I don’t take that lightly.

About: Growing up in a house of animals, and having a small zoo of my own (2 dogs and 2 cats), I have a lot of experience taking care of animals. I have dog and cat sat for friends for years. I am currently available for Drop ins and Walks. I try to spend a bare minimum of 15 minutes with any drop in to make sure they get all the attention that they need. As the owner of a 15 lb dog and a 80 lb dog, I understand that all Walks aren't created equal. My Walks always vary based off of the needs of the dog. I am also an avid cat lover. I am more than happy to stop by and feed, clean the litter box, and snuggle/play with your feline friends. Currently I work full time on the West side of the cities, but I have Sundays and Mondays off to help with your animal needs. My hope is to expand my availability over time. My current weekend lines up with some weekdays. I spend most of those days out and about, so I'd love to check in on some cute animal while I am at it! Slow and steady is always best. I am a believer in letting animals come to you. I have experience with a kennel trained and unkennel trained dogs.
