About: Caring for pets has been a part of my life for a long time, through both pets of our own and foster pets! We’ve been fostering for the past decade and have cared for over 30 dogs and cats. I have experience with dogs with all kinds of personalities, including shy, anxious, and reactive. My favorite thing about animals is they all have their own personalities, and I love learning about who they are! My approach is to meet pets where they’re at and let them set the pace for our interactions, especially those who need a little extra time to feel comfortable with someone new. Senior dogs have an especially big place in my heart, as we have two of our own, and I’m very comfortable with the extra patience and care older pups sometimes need. I’ve also fostered and spent time with dogs of many breeds, sizes, and personalities, including bully breeds which are always welcome! I work a hybrid schedule with quite a bit of flexibility. I generally don’t work Sundays or Mondays, work from home most Wednesdays and Fridays, and am typically flexible throughout those days. I’m usually in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays, but am generally only away for 4–6 hours at a time and can often adjust my schedule with advance notice. Some of my work is event-based, so I occasionally need to be away for ~2 hours on an evening or Saturday morning. When I have an evening commitment, I make a point to spend more time at your home and with your pet during the day. For stays longer than 2 or 3 nights, I’ll occasionally stop by my own home to see my spouse and our own pets, for no more than a couple of hours at a time every other day or so. About 6 hours would be the longest I’d generally plan for your pet to be on their own, though this is the max and it would typically be less. During the meet and greet, we can talk through your pet’s specific needs and possible scheduling accommodations. I’m currently available for house sitting in your home, as well as walks and drop-in visits. We have a full house of our own (including fosters!), so I’m not offering boarding or daycare in my home at this time. I will treat your home as a guest in it; I’m tidy and will clean up after me and your pets! What is helpful for me to know is what your pet’s typical day looks like, if they have any favorite or important parts to their routine, and ways they like to get stimulation (walk, play, puzzles). Where do they sleep? As much information as you can tell me about your pet is better so I can keep things as normal for them as possible!

“I had a wonderful experience with Kiana! She took excellent care of my cats and made sure they were happy, comfortable, and well looked after while I was away. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me great peace of mind. It was clear they genuinely cared about my pets and paid attention to their individual needs. I came home to happy, relaxed cats and everything was clean and in great shape. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of my furry family!”

“This was our second time having Rylan sit for our 2 cats. This was a much longer trip, and we knew our kitties were in great hands and everything would be taken care of. Loved the updates and the photos!”

About: My family has had a dog that I’ve loved to take care of and spend time with since I was 8. Also I would take care of my family’s dog since friends’ dog whenever they were out of town as a kid. I’m currently back for the summer from college so I have lots of time to take care of pets both overnight and during the day. I won’t be able to take pets into my home but can go to the owners house night or day. If for any reason you don’t have a leash or dog treats or something along those lines I’ll be able to bring it.

About: Hello! 🙂 I’ve been a dog owner for the past 3.5 years, and caring for my dog has become a huge part of my everyday life. I’m excited to now join the Rover community and turn that love for dogs into something I can continue doing long term. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs, getting to know their individual personalities, and figuring out what makes each one happy and comfortable. When caring for your dog, I’ll make sure they get my full attention and that I follow the routines and instructions you provide. Whether that means going for a walk, getting some energy out through playtime, checking in for food and water, or simply giving them some company while you’re away, I want you to feel confident that your dog is being cared for by someone who truly enjoys being with them. At home, we have a 3.5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix who is full of energy but an absolute sweetheart. He loves attention, staying active, and especially finding a new best friend to play with. Having an energetic dog of my own has given me plenty of hands-on experience with walks, playtime, routines, and all the personality that comes with an active pup! 🙂 I work full-time during the week, but I have availability in the evenings and on weekends to care for your pups! I’m looking forward to making pet care a regular part of my weekly routine and can be flexible with walks, drop-ins, and weekend visits. I’ll always keep my Rover availability up to date so you know when I’m available to help. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your dog, so I’ll closely follow any instructions you provide regarding walks, feeding, medications, routines, or anything else that helps your pup feel comfortable. I’ll take the time to learn your dog’s personality and needs, keep you updated while they’re in my care, and treat your home and your pet with the same respect and attention I would want for my own.
About: I grew up with dogs, and have lived with and cared for many a cat. Over the years I’ve become to the go-to pet sitter in my circles, and have sat for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and even hedgehogs! I have experience caring for elderly dogs and and am no stranger to administering special diets, exercise plans and medication. I am so excited for the chance to get to know and love your furry friends! I am quick to form bonds with animals, and love to see old friends again with repeat clients. I’m currently in school once day a week, so I have plenty of time to be with your pet(s). I love getting outdoors, so it’s truly a joy and not out of my way to walk your dog an extra time or take them to the park. I am a naturally playful person, but take your pets’ well-being very seriously- I always ask upfront about your pet’s health and any special needs they may have, as well as for your vets information and nearest emergency clinic. I have a car, so I am able to get them somewhere quickly if need be. I also know that communication with the client is key, and enjoy giving regular updates and do my best to be responsive to messages and questions.

“Rachel did a great job taking care of our cat while we were out of town. We loved getting our daily Pickles update and she was a happy cat when we got home!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats in my home for my entire life; at one point, my family had two Saint Bernards, two labs, and a french bulldog all under one roof! My family has also fostered dogs for several years through an organization called New Lease on Life Dog Rescue! In addition, I grew up taking care of dogs for neighbors and family friends. I also worked at my aunts Doggy Daycare/Pet Spa for two years! Now that I’m an adult, I live with two roommates with two wonderful cats. I’m an animal lover at heart!! I’d be thrilled to get some extra animal time again! 🐾 I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist, where I am working with kids to help them learn how to say their sounds, help them learn new words, and let their voices be heard! Although I'd love to have a dog of my own, I currently work 10 hour days Monday-Thursday and just feel like I wouldn't be able to give a pup the full attention it needs right now, as I'm still adjusting to my new career. I am hopeful that Rover gives me a chance to bond with your dog(s) and give them best care possible! I am comfortable implementing anything you need for your dog in your home. If your dog usually sleeps in a kennel, I can do that. If not, I’m more than happy to let him/her sleep in bed with me! If you need your dog to be leashed or walked when taken out, I’m your girl!
“Angela was great! She is very experienced and very comfortable with any and all instructions I gave! She took great care of my cats, and I never worried about them while I was gone!”

They are a lot older now so they mostly sleep all day. It was always so much fun and never feels like work! I'm great with reading new dog behaviors and approaching skittish/nervous dogs. My dogs are called Bella and Peanut and I also have 1 cat taco who also likes walks. When I get home all 4 like to pile ontop of me in front of the tv. I own my own business, which gives me flexibility. This helps me make extra money to help support my dream. Kaitlyn I'm a small business owner of 14 years, I'm changing my schedule to work out of my home and take less clients so I'm very flexible with what time I can give I have a fenced yard, 2 older smallish dogs that are very used to other dogs at all sizes and energy levels. Friends have used us a resource to socialize other dog. Our cat is fine around dogs and our house is split in a way can be kept completely separate.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Oakdale
Heather became friends with my dog Cooper almost instantly from the moment they met. She’s taken great care of my 10.5 year old little Belgian Malinois while I was on a several day vacation, and sent me plenty of pictures for each drop-in visit. The questions she gave me during our introductory meet up were focused and insightful, which showed she has a depth of dog care knowledge know how that comes experience. I would happily recommend her for dog care services.
We’ve used Jessica several times, and she’s been fantastic every time. She’s consistently available on short notice, always punctual, and very polite. Even though we’re not home during her visits, our hairless cat, who is extremely selective about people, comes out to see her and happily lets Jessica pet her. That alone says a lot. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Kirsten did a wonderful job of 3 home visits! We had never done this before with our dogs. Our 6 year old is a little skittish but she went potty and finally ate for Kirsten. Our one year old white Shepard loved the attention and walk! We came home to 2 pretty calm puppies! We would definitely recommend her. Sent pictures at every visit with updates.
