I've been a zookeeper for 15 years and a dog and bearded dragon owner most of that time too! I also have experience with salt and freshwater fish. I've cared for farm domestics such as chickens, goats and horses as well. You name it I've probably cared for it!

We’ve used Jessica several times, and she’s been fantastic every time. She’s consistently available on short notice, always punctual, and very polite. Even though we’re not home during her visits, our hairless cat, who is extremely selective about people,comes out to see her and happily lets Jessica pet her. That alone says a lot. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
She always does a great job taking care of our pets!

It’s a shame that ratings only go up to 5 stars, because I would give Jessica so much more than that. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were in a bit of a pinch as another sitter we had scheduled had to cancel. We looked around and found Jessica and she was awesome from the very beginning. We initially wanted someone to house sit for us as we have 3 different beasts (Dog, Cat, Guinea Pig), but we came to the agreement that our dog Chewy would stay with her, but she would call in everyday and show the other two some love. It was definitely the best decision, as Chewy seemed to have so much fun at Jessica’s playing with her dog Mickey in their fenced backyard. We also received daily updates and pictures of all the beasts activities. Jessica was also so flexible as our flight home got cancelled the morning we were returning from our vacation, so we had to book ourselves on a later one. Jessica was more than happy to look after Chewy for a bit longer. We will definitely be calling on Jessica again when we need a pet sitter. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Schedule
My day job as a zookeeper is animal husbandry. As a result, my calendar availability for house sitting is only Wednesday evening thru Sunday morning since my job the rest of the week, in addition to my own pets, wouldn't allow me to be available regularly during those days. However, I would still be able to do walkings and drop ins Sun-Weds evenings so feel free to message me to see if we can work something out!

Depending on your pet's level of comfortability, I am willing to watch them in your home or welcome them into ours. I have an older laid back lab that gets along with all dogs. Our house has a fenced in yard with a doggy door and we have a room in our basement set aside for dogs that includes a wire kennel and several beds.

A typical day
Let me know what your pet loves to do and I will make it happen. For my personal dogs we love to go on walks, play fetch in the yard, and go swimming at the lake. We really love to walk the trails around battle creek.
