About: I've had lots of experience with a wide variety of dogs from family pets to working with Wag! I have a 8 month old German Shepard/Lab, Opal, so I am comfortable with puppies and high energy breeds. I also have experience caring for senior animals. I am currently a stay-at-home mom. I am mostly available for weekend care but can do walks & check ins during the week if I bring my youngest with me. I am open to boarding and other care during the weekends. I have a fenced in yard for lots of fetch & play time. We love walks & hiking so lots of opportunities for exercise, fun & bonding with the dogs. I also have experience with crating if that is necessary.

About: Caring for pets has been a part of my life for a long time, through both pets of our own and foster pets! We’ve been fostering for the past decade and have cared for over 30 dogs and cats. I have experience with dogs with all kinds of personalities, including shy, anxious, and reactive. My favorite thing about animals is they all have their own personalities, and I love learning about who they are! My approach is to meet pets where they’re at and let them set the pace for our interactions, especially those who need a little extra time to feel comfortable with someone new. Senior dogs have an especially big place in my heart, as we have two of our own, and I’m very comfortable with the extra patience and care older pups sometimes need. I’ve also fostered and spent time with dogs of many breeds, sizes, and personalities, including bully breeds which are always welcome! I work a hybrid schedule, and will spend most of my day with your pet. When I leave, it will generally be no longer than about 4 hours at a time, whether for work or to see my own pets and family. If I expect I’ll need to be gone longer than this at any point during the stay, I’ll let you know before booking! I will treat your home as a guest in it; I’m tidy and will clean up after me and your pets! What is helpful for me to know is what your pet’s typical day looks like, if they have any favorite or important parts to their routine, and ways they like to get stimulation (walk, play, puzzles). Where do they sleep? As much information as you can tell me about your pet is better so I can keep things as normal for them as possible!

About: I grew up with a lot of pets. Dogs, cats, fish, birds, and for the last 3 years I've been doing pet care along with child care for a well respected small company in Northern MN. I love working with animals and I'm very good at taking care of them, whether that's short term, long term, or just for a day. I'm currently not working outside of pet sitting, and I try to be very active so daily walks are a must have along with trips to the park and indoor play time. I keep a consistent sleep schedule so I can easily cater to the schedule of your animals. I live in a townhouse community near a lake with a walking trail and a large open field perfect for longer walks with the pups! When I'm in a clients home, I will communicate with you first to learn if you have a schedule for the pets you'd like me to follow. Then I will make sure their needs are met and have plenty of play time in and outside so they get their exercise in between naps and cuddles.

“Joel provided an amazing drop-in service for us twice daily for 6 days for our 4 senior Dachshunds. He communicated with us each time he stopped by and sent pictures of the pups eating, getting some outdoor play time and settling down for naps until his next visit. They truly bonded with him because he gave them the kind of attention they crave—food, belly rubs and back scratches. One of the pups is blind and he helped her up and down the steps to walk in the grass. We could enjoy our trip knowing our pups were getting great care and attention while their needs were being met. Very satisfied with the job Joel did for us!!”

I have my own dog and am very comfortable handling all the day to day responsibilities that come with pet care, from walks and playtime to feeding, medications, and overnight stays. About: I'm 42 years old and have grown up with dogs my entire life. I have always loved animals and want to help those in need. I'm very loving, caring and detail oriented. I currently have three amazing pups, they are 11, 5 and 2 years old (miniature pincher and two german shepherds), they have been through training school and are very obedient. My husband and I live alone with our two sons who love dogs. I started sitting through Rover when I was laid off from the tech company I worked for about a few years ago and I absolutely loved it. I am now available for walks and drop ins, 12pm -2pm and 3pm- 12am. I'm glad to answer any questions you have. I look forward to meeting you and your pups! ( I am allergic to certain bulldogs, pit bulls, whippets and greyhounds) I am available from 12-2pm and 3pm - 12am Monday through Friday with the exception of Thursday afternoons which I’d be available from 5pm and onwards. I may occasionally bring my sons, they have grown up around dogs and are very respectful. Update: I am currently only available for walks and drop ins. My yard is fully fenced. Hank is kenneled if I leave the house. I also have two larger kennels and can accommodate kennel trained pups. My dogs will always be kenneled if I leave the house. For sleeping I usually follow what the client prefers but at no time would your dog be left unsupervised with mine. If your dog likes to sleep on the couch at night I will kennel my dogs. We are knowledgeable and aware of foods dogs should and shouldn’t have.

While I'm not a professional trainer, I'm always happy to help maintain the routines you've established. Every dog is unique, and I care for each one with patience, kindness, and respect. I'll also send photo updates so you can see how your dog is doing and enjoy a few happy moments while you're away. Your pet's comfort, happiness, and well-being are always my top priority. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide attentive and reliable care for pets throughout the day. This flexibility means I can spend quality time with each pet, keep up with their routines, and make sure they receive the attention, playtime, and care they need while their family is away. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I prioritize following each owner's instructions and keeping their normal routine as comfortable as possible.
