“Emma was great! She took such good care of our special needs pup and elderly cat. She asked great questions and followed everything we asked. We got a bunch of updates and pictures, so nice. Will absolutely be booking with her again!”

“Keely G. did an excellent job taking care of our furry little creatures. Me, my wife and 2 year old daughter went on vacation for five days and were in need of some help. Looking on Rover.com, I saw Keely's profile. She was very reasonably priced and loved both dogs and cats, which is great because we have three dogs and two cats. One of the twists was is that we have a seven month old German Shepherd puppy who is very high in energy. After speaking with Keely, she set up a meet and greet with me and my family at our home so she could get a head start on learning about other 'children' and what will be expected during our vacation. Keely was very approachable and friendly on the visit and I knew she was the one for the job. We left for our vacation and Keely made sure to keep in contact with me the whole time. She sent me many pictures of our happy little fur babies and let us know that everyone was very happy. When we returned home from our vacation, our home looked the way it was when we left, clean and tidy. It's safe to say that We'll be using her services for future vacations. I recommend Keely for anyone who needs a very qualified pet/house sitter . You will not be disappointed.”

“Leann was great! Since Cal heart murmur has advanced it was difficult to leave him. Leann sent a lot of pictures which made me feel a lot better and I knew he was in great hands with Leann. If we need a another dog sitter Leann will be our go to sitter.”

“Lisa was great. She was communicative, was a thoughtful and respectful house guest, and most importantly my two girls were pampered and loved well! I came home to two relaxed and happy pups! Will definitely use her again when I can!”

“Jaci did a great job house/pet sitting! When I returned home, my house was clean and my cat was happy! I will definitely reach out to her again in the future!”

“Alicja is wonderful with my young pup. She is knowledgeable when it comes to caring for dogs and patient with my stubborn pup. She has already taught me a few things. Highly recommend.”

“Judi was great with our nervous pup who hates to be alone. She was a very conscientious houseguest and communicated with us regularly about how our girl was doing. We're really happy we booked her.”

“Katherine did a great job with my dogs! I really appreciate her staying at my place and keeping it nice and clean. :) Would definitely book with her again! :)”

“This is our third time with Anna and Griffin has a wonderful time with her. He’s still got major separation anxiety and keeps one eye on the door for us to come home, but she makes him comfortable and busy and the same time.”

“I had a great first experience with Penny! She was on time, sent updates and photos, left my home the way she found it, and seemed happy to spend time with my pups. Will definitely have her back.”

“Camille and Jordan were fantastic with our house and animals (elderly dog, cat and rabbit)! They were prompt in responding and making sure they had the information needed to take the best care of our animals. They were on time and communicated with us as needed. Our animals are our babies and they seemed perfectly comfortable and happy with Camille and Jordan so we will definitely be booking again!”

“Kristin stayed with our pups for three nights! She was very accommodating of their schedules and they seemed to be happy! She sent pictures daily and kept us updated on how they were doing. We would recommend Kristin to others!”

“Kaitlin was amazing and I felt so comfortable leaving my pups in her care. She communicated regularly and sent tons of pics (from which I could tell how happy the dogs were) and I swear the house was cleaner than when we left. I will definitely be using Kaitlin again and would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

“Jamie did really good With Sophie and Luci. They did not have any abnormal reactions when we returned. Jamie left Our home Neat and clean, but most Importantly she communicated and sent pictures. We plan to use Jamie in the future”

About: I’ve taken care of a wide array of dogs, ranging in size and age. I also have experience working with dogs with disabilities and senior pups I coach youth students how to play a variety of sports for a couple different school districts. I provide dog services on a daily basis whether it walks or just playing with them. I do my best to get down the pups routine so they feel at home, even when their family is away. I’m respectful of boundaries toward both the family and the dog
“Rachel was awesome! She was great at communicating and kept me well updated while I was away. My pup was happy and content in her care. She was super flexible with my last minute scheduling. She did an awesome job.”

“Rylan was a lifesaver. She agreed to take care of my girls (11 month old kittens) very last minute so I could go on vacation. Her communication and daily updates were great, and she took very good care of my home and kitties while I was away.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Saint Paul
This was Leann’s second time sitting for our 2 dogs in our home and she did such a fantastic job! We have such peace of mind and no stress when traveling thanks to her! She does a great job caring for the dogs, often even teaching them new commands, leaves the house spotless and even watered plants, brought garbage to the curb and picked up dog poop. She’s the best!

Madeline provided the absolute BEST care over the weekend to our two dogs Oakley and Paisley. Oakley is especially energetic and not always easy to deal with but she quickly gained his trust and was so good with him! She showed so much love and kindness to them. She took care of our house and spent a lot of time with our pups so that we could have a fun weekend out and we didn’t have to worry about them for one second! She went above and beyond helping to keep the yard/house clean and even drew us an absolutely stunning piece of artwork of our dogs! We are so thankful to her and would have her watch them anytime. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone! :)

We are repeat customers of Sahtyn. She gives us great peace of mind and provides kind, reliable care to our older dog and cat. We appreciate her flexibility, patience, communication and experience. It makes all the difference to know our animals are in good hands when we can’t be at home.

This was our first time using Keely, but it won’t be our last! She was very easy to communicate and coordinate with. The dogs seemed to really like her. She provided good updates and photos. House was like we left it when we returned. Will definitely be booking again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred North Saint Paul walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in North Saint Paul maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Saint Paul choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
