“Professional! Responsive! Thoughtful! Heather was just amazing. She was detail oriented and checked in frequently. We came home to a relaxed dog who seemed to have cared less that we were gone. We were dreading finding a new dog sitter, but we got lucky with Heather! She is everything her profile says and more. We already plan to use her for future trips!”

“Kristin is an amazing pet sitter. She has a high attention to detail and will make sure your pets receive the best care possible. She will do “the dirty work” because let’s face it, animals are gross and make big messes sometimes but she will take care of it because she understands. We love Kristin and will use her services again!! Thank you Kristin!!”

About: I have been caring for pets since I was a teenager. From my animals on my parents farm to dog and cat sitting for friends and family, I have a wide range of experience with animals of all ages and energy levels. Having owned two German Short Hair Pointers, I am great with big high energy dogs. I am a graduate student with a flexible schedule. When I am not doing school work, I am usually with friends or doing something outdoors. I am very gentle and loving when it comes to animals. Being raised on a farm I learned how to interact with all kinds of animals. From angry steers to sweet ducklings to very hyper puppies, I know how to manage all kinds of critters. I am very affectionate and playful with even tempered animals, but I can also coexist peacefully with more reactive animals.
“Jaci took very good care of my cat in my home while I was on vacation. My cat was clean, healthy and happy. I liked that Jaci provided me with twice a day pictures and updates. Jaci left my home clean and locked. I definitely will he using her in the future.”

“Judi was great with our nervous pup who hates to be alone. She was a very conscientious houseguest and communicated with us regularly about how our girl was doing. We're really happy we booked her.”

About: Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and I have been caring for them since I was a child. Our family had a lot of pets while I was growing up, and we always took in animals that needed help. Including baby squirells, a crow, a turtle that got hit by a car, as well as cats and dogs. This has translated into me being a life long pet owner, and rescuer of animals. I live in an area that has a large feral cat population, and I have taken it upon myself to help alleviate this problem. I have trapped, over 20 feral cats in the past 10 years. Once captured, I get them spayed/neutered, vaccinated, as well as have any of their medical needs taken care of. I keep each cat for at least a month to see if they are adoption eligible, and if they are, I foster them until I find a good home for them. If not, I get their ear clipped, and I release them. Unfortunately, this is costly but Ive been able to "afford" it until this past year when I had some costly vet bills. Including the last cat I rescued (Buddy) who was involved in a fight with another feral cat, got his tail bitten, and it cost me over $3000 to get his tail amputated. It was also a long, and difficult recovery process requiring many hours of care and attention. Luckily Buddy came through and is the sweetest little guy. I found a home for him at a group home, and he is now living his best life. I would like to continue to provide this service but I can not afford too many more instances like buddy, or ill be the homeless one out wandering the streets in need of rescuing. So, I have been contemplating ways in which to earn some extra money to help pay the bills. Once I discovered Rover it became obvious that this is the perfect solution. I can earn money to help pay for my feral cat project, spend even more time with animals, and provide a valuable service where I have a lot of experience. I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages and temperments. I have trained many dogs, including those of family and friends. All money earned from Rover will go directly towards helping animals (mostly cats) who are in need in my community. I currently have 4 cats that I care for on a daily basis. That number can fluctuate because I periodically take in cats that I foster for at least a month. I will care for pets in your home by paying attention to your pet and getting an idea of what it wants and or needs.
Oakdale pet parents share their Rover experiences
Heather was an amazing sitter for my dog and cat while we were on vacation. She was very communicative, detail oriented, and respectful of our home. She provided plenty of updates and our pets had obviously had mental and physical stimulation when we returned. I will be recommending her to others!

Reese was an amazing & and our doggos love her. She was attentive to their needs and routine. She was always responsive and even sent photos of our fur babes when we missed them. Reese house sat for us in and we felt comfortable & confident knowing she was there. 100% booking again!! :)

I can't say enough positive things about our experience working with Sahtyn. She was responsive, professional and fantastic with our dog and cat. I had never used Rover before and was apprehensive about inviting someone into our home. But after a few messages and then a meet and greet, I was comfortable and confident, and grateful to be able to focus on my upcoming time away. Our large, older dog quickly melted into Sahtyn's gentle demeanor. Sahtyn has a great reputation and it is well deserved. Her competency, experience, and comfort with both animals and people shine through.

Caitlyne took absolutely amazing care for our beloved senior dog, Sadie. From the very start, Caitlyne was incredibly communicative, keeping us updated with detailed messages and plenty of adorable photos and videos, which truly set our minds at ease. Her flexibility and reliability were top-notch, accommodating our schedule with ease. Caitlyne went above and beyond by taking Sadie on wonderful adventures, ensuring she had plenty of exercise and fun. It's clear that Caitlyne has a genuine love for animals, and her attentive care for Sadie, especially as a senior dog, was deeply appreciated. Knowing Sadie was in such capable and loving hands allowed us to relax during our time away. We wholeheartedly recommend Caitlyne to anyone in need of a dedicated and caring dogsitter. Her exceptional service and genuine affection for animals make her an absolute gem! Thank you, Caitlyne!!!

Emily was kind and delightful. My dogs were apparently not very well behaved and I don’t know why but feel badly about it. Still she was understanding and patient with them. I am working on some manners training including them sleeping in the kitchen. We would love her back if she is willing!
