About: I've shared my life with animals for years, and both of my pets came to me needing a second chance. Andy, my cat, was a stray I took in as a graduate student. He started out wary and skittish, and learning to earn his trust taught me patience and how to read the quiet signals cats give when they're stressed, content, or not feeling well. Stevie, our dog, is a rescue, and helping her settle into a new home showed me how much consistency, gentle routines, and a calm presence matter to a pet adjusting to change. I was raised by a single mom who showed me what steady, attentive care looks like, and I bring that same nurturing energy to every pet I look after. Whether your cat needs a quiet drop-in or your dog needs a good walk, I'll follow your routines closely, keep you updated, and make sure your pet feels safe and loved while you're away. I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is very flexible! I am happy to work around your schedule and accommodate as best as I can! In my home, pets get a calm, pet-friendly space and plenty of attention. In your home, I stick as closely as possible to your pet's normal routine: the same feeding times, portions, walk schedule, and bedtime habits. I'll make sure food and water are fresh, litter boxes are scooped, any medications are given exactly as directed, and doors and windows are secured before I leave. For dogs, that means walks, potty breaks, and playtime; for cats, it means quiet company, play, and a close eye on appetite and litter habits, since those are often the first signs something's off. Either way, I'll send photos and updates after every visit so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. If anything seems unusual, I'll contact you right away and won't hesitate to get vet care if it's needed.

About: I've loved animals all my life. I got my first puppy when I was about 13 years old, full of pre-teen enthusiasm for learning all about dog behavior and puppy training strategies. Now that my own beloved dog is no longer with us, I've found myself wishing I had more opportunities to connect with animals on a regular basis. I've taken every chance I could to pet sit for friends and acquaintances over the years, but recently I realized that I could also be using Rover to make pet care a more regular part of my life! Since I'm also meant to share something here that makes me "stand out" as a sitter, I'll say that animals do tend to feel particularly safe and relaxed around me. If I were to take a guess as to why that is, I think I would say that it's probably a combination of: 1) genuinely loving pets and wanting to have a positive interaction with them, 2) not bringing anxious energy into the room, which I think is something that most pets can sense, and 3) knowing enough about animal behavior to not escalate any existing anxieties or aggression. As someone who has had a beloved pet, I know how important it is to find someone to care for your pet that you can trust to accommodate their particular needs, and to create a safe, happy environment for them while you're away. If you'll trust me to be that person, then nothing would make me happier than to give your pet an amazing visit, walk, or staycation! I work full time (8 hours M-F) in Arden Hills, but I have a fairly flexible work schedule. My preference for pet care would be to mostly fit it in before and after work (my hours can usually be adjusted based on a pet's daily schedule), but I also have the flexibility to pop out for short walks in the middle of the day, if needed. I can also work from home if absolutely necessary, but I would not wish to do that frequently. I am not able to host pets in my home at this time, but if I can come and care for your pets at their own home, I am happy to follow whatever instructions you give for how to make your pet feel happy and safe and cared for during your absence! I am a careful instruction follower, so I will refer back to any information you can give me about what your pet is accustomed to when you are home, and how you would like me to care for them when you're gone. If you feel nervous at all about leaving them, I'm also more than happy to send regular updates to you about how they are doing!

About: I am a big time animal lover that has taken care of dogs, cats and rabbits for over 8 years. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to check in with, feed and play with their animals. I’m currently working 4 10 hour days with Thursdays and weekends off. I have past experience with volunteering at organisations such as the SPCA (providing care for cats, dogs, and rabbits) and caring for cats at AniMall Cat Clinic. I have helped several close ones and neighbours thoroughout the years with pet care needs for their dogs and cats, which included: feeding, walking, providing transportation to veterinary appointments, bathing, basic grooming, and just spending quality time with the pets. I have experience with caring for breeds that are reactive to other dogs (but still love the company of humans), and with breeds that are often subject to housing or insurance restrictions, some of which have included: Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, Rottweiler mixes, Belgian Malinois, Huskies, Dobermans, Staffordshire Terriers, and American Bullies. I focus on understanding each dog's individual temperament, communication style, and needs. I am also experienced in administering medication to both dogs and cats in oral, injectable, and topical forms, and caring for pets with mobility issues. 🐾 I require a meet and greet with all new/first time clients before officially booking a house sitting. Please know that a stay is considered confirmed only after the meet and greet is completed, the booking has been mutually agreed upon, and has been officially booked through Rover. For longer stays (especially longer than 1 week), I would recommend you to reach out once you've reviewed my profile and pricing details, and you have fully decided that in-home care through Rover is the option you'd like to pursue. 🐾 Please note I work M-F full time (excluding major holidays), and am unable to provide midday breaks when working due to the nature of my work. My standard for bookings that fall on weekdays is to provide care in mornings before work, evenings after work, and of course, stay overnight in the home. I can best accommodate pets whose daytime care needs would be covered while I'm at work (such as through a doggy door, neighbour check ins, or if pets need less frequent bathroom breaks) For walks and drop ins in particular, I would be a great choice for pet parents that need care in evenings, nights, and weekends. I will listen to/observe your pet's body language and demeanour before approaching, and will always interact with them gently and kindly. On walks and out in the yard, I always use a leash or harness to keep the pet safe. Furthermore, I always strive to keep an eye out for any potential hazards to pets while they are in my care, whether that is something that spilled on the floor, or an unfamiliar object in the yard, and will always act swiftly to remove the hazard so your pet will be out of harm's way. I believe good pet care includes planning for the unexpected, so I like to establish emergency contacts, veterinary/animal hospital information, and contingency plans with every client before a stay (and preferably have these included in written directions too).

People relied on me to take care of their babies and I did it effectively and with love❤️ I work a full time job but I work 4 days on - 4 days off so I am available during those days off to help! About: I love animals, I'm the type of person who gets distracted by the dog on the street and I want to go to your house if you have a cat. For those of you from the 90's, if I could be like Ace Ventura the pet detective and fill my whole home and life with animals, I would. Clearly this isn’t the 90's and my apartment wouldn’t be able to house all the animals happily and comfortably of my dreams, so there comes rover, my opportunity to spend the time I want with all the animals of my dreams. About: I work 100% out of my home and enjoy having furry friends around to keep me company. I enjoy going outside with my friends on two walks a day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. We are a family of 6. Two parents, three human kids and one furry kid. Human kids are gone at school during the day but our kind dog Paco is home with me during the day. About: I have owned a dog since I was 3 years old and never looked back. I am the go to person for my friends and family when they are out of town. I will take care and love your best friend just like they are my own. "Dogs are not our while life, but they make our lives whole." I currently work at a group home doing a few overnights a week and also work part time as a server. I am available most days for walks and drop ins. I have a 1 year old German Shepherd who is very sweet and playful, so if your pup is friendly, we can discuss doggy day care as well :) I have a fenced in yard and one dog of my own (German Shepherd) who is very playful, and my roommate has a Grey Hound who is pretty lazy and just lays on the couch all the day.
