“Jeff was great. He came over for a meet and great prior to our trip to meet Bailey. He was super personable and friendly. Would definitely use him for walks again. Thanks so much!”

About: Homeschooling, and work-from-home family with 10+ years of pet care experience! Leave your dog in our caring and responsible hands, knowing your dog will be well loved and cared for! Our family is very home oriented, as a homeschooling family of five. We do have outings daily that are typically no more than a few hours. We have one well-loved dog named, Moose who is very well behaved and will set a great example for your dog. We currently have .25 acre of fenced in backyard for lots of safe exercise and play! We provide a large sleeping crate for bedtime, and personal space for all mealtimes. We will provide daily walks and lots of love and care.

“Robert is absolutely amazing! It has made a huge difference in me and my dogs lives and training. I am super busy, but he is great with working around my schedule and leaving detailed reviews/updates for me to review later. I have a hard time trusting people with my baby but his incredible growth has helped me immensely.”

“Our dog fell in love with Carolyn immediately! She has been a tremendous help to us and is a good communicator. I echo other reviewers: we really appreciate her!”

About: I grew up with cats, dogs, a bearded dragon, and a whole lot of fish. I have a soft spot for spicy cats as I have one of my own. Currently, live in a space where I can't have a dog but if I could it would be a loveable rescue who loves to play and to go on walks. I've taken care of many friends and family pets over the years and excited to make some new furry (and scaly) friends! Through the summer my schedule is very flexible. I work at an elementary school as a reading tutor so during the school year I am available late afternoons/evenings and weekends. I am organized, outgoing, and friendly and as long as you have detailed instructions I feel confident taking care of your pets in your home.
About: I’ve taken care of pets for years. Friends and family rely on me to take care of their pets when they are away. I’ve taken care of older pets in addition to giving eye drops and oral medication to cats and dogs. I have a cat at home so I am used to her routine and am easily able to fit your pet into my routine as well! I am willing and available to watch your pets. I do work second shift during the week but very available on the weekends. I have an upstairs and basement with plenty of room for our cat, Raven to run and play. She loves to lay on my yoga mat I have out in the living room. We have her litter box in the basement and plenty of toys for her.
About: I've had lots of experience with a wide variety of dogs from family pets to working with Wag! I have a 8 month old German Shepard/Lab, Opal, so I am comfortable with puppies and high energy breeds. I also have experience caring for senior animals. I am currently a stay-at-home mom. I am mostly available for weekend care but can do walks & check ins during the week if I bring my youngest with me. I am open to boarding and other care during the weekends. I have a fenced in yard for lots of fetch & play time. We love walks & hiking so lots of opportunities for exercise, fun & bonding with the dogs. I also have experience with crating if that is necessary.
About: I use to walk dogs for a part time job when I was younger. Have always had one or more dogs in my house hold. Also use to work at a pet store that was very into teaching about dogs health and fitness. I currently work part time but I make my own schedule. I am flexible with hours and days. I’m available morning afternoon and evenings as well. I am great with keeping your pet safe from others on walks. I know dogs take time to warm up to some people and have the patience to work with them to make them feel safe and trust me.
About: Hi, I’m Elizabeth — a full-time, work-from-home dog mom living in a beautiful, wooded setting with trails right outside our door. Dogs in my care enjoy fresh air, frequent walks, and a calm, loving home environment. I’m outside with the pups multiple times a day — whether it’s structured exercise, supervised playtime, or a slow sniff-and-stroll for our senior friends. We have a sweet, social 2-year-old Standard Poodle who gets along with everyone — from rambunctious puppies to mellow old souls. My husband also works from home, which means your dog will never be left alone and always has an extra set of hands. I have experience with all ages and stages — from crate training curious puppies to providing gentle support for older dogs and administering medications (oral and topical). I follow feeding and care routines to the letter, and I’m always happy to provide updates, pics, or videos so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and loved. Whether you’re planning a vacation or just need a reliable day-to-day helping hand, I treat every dog like one of my own — with patience, play, and a whole lot of love. I work from home full-time, so I’m with the dogs all day — not just “checking in,” but truly present. We go on multiple walks each day, explore nearby trails, and take plenty of breaks for play, snuggles, and outside time. My own dog thrives with this routine, and I love extending that same level of care to the pets I host. Whether it’s managing medications, reinforcing training, or simply being a calm, consistent presence, pet care is a natural and joyful part of my everyday life. In my home, pets are treated like family. I maintain a calm, structured, and loving environment with plenty of time outdoors I follow your pet’s routines closely: feeding schedules, meds, crate time, and any house rules you use at home. Dogs are never left alone for more than a few hours (both my husband and I work from home), and we keep a close eye on how everyone’s adjusting — especially first-timers, puppies, or older pets who need extra support.
“Tony takes such good care of my girl when I’m working long days. It’s such a comfort knowing she’s getting loved on and lots of playtime, and she recognizes Tony’s name with a pitty smile and thumping tail.”

About: Our family had a yellow lab for 15 years and now a golden retriever. We love dogs and enjoy playing outside and taking long walks! We are a homeschooling family and have a lot of flexibility in our days. I love to be outside and walk everyday. I’d happily love to share a walk with your pup! I have a small fenced in section of yard. We live near lots of trails so we take our dog on long walks in nature.

Sierra is great. She always takes care of my doodle. You can rely on her and know your pup is in good hands. I want to thank you for all you've done with Jax so I could work long hours. As you can see, we are moving, and I know Jax will miss his walks with you.

Courtney went above and beyond when taking time to meet my two rescue dogs in advance of walking them. I have one dog who takes a while to warm up to strangers and Courtney was patient and won her over. I feel that my dogs are in good hands with her and will gladly book her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
