“Katie was so great! She was super responsive and sent pics while we were gone. Shes super friendly and took care of our dogs like her own. 12/10, would definitely recommend!”

“Highly recommend Anna's services! She was amazing watching our dog over a full weekend. It was our first time boarding our dog and she made it so easy & was so reassuring. We were able to enjoy our weekend away and not worry about how our dog was doing which I was so grateful for. We will be returning again that's for sure!”

“Hershi is an elderly doggy with big needs, and not only did Nicole and her partner easily tackled them, they went above and beyond. The communication was great with lots of cute pictures and photos, and they made sure Hershi was happy!! Husband and I are definitely planning to book her again come Thanksgiving!!”

“Julie and Jesse have been amazing with my senior dog, Etta. This was Etta’s fourth stay, and each time I appreciate receiving timely updates and know that Etta is well cared for and in a loving home when I am gone. I would recommend Julie and Jesse without reservation. They are great!”

“Ellen and her family made us feel very comfortable when caring for Loki! She provided updates and photos of Loki and was always available for communication. We'll definitely bring our pup back to see Ellen!”

“Paige is so wonderful!! Clover loves to stay with Paige and her family, and gets all the love, attention, play and snuggles that she gets at home plus extra walks! ;)”

About: Hi! We’re Brock and Laura, and we’d love to welcome your dog into our home. We have two young kids (both under 7) who absolutely love dogs, so our house is full of fun, love, and plenty of attention for our furry guests. We currently do not have any pets of our own as our dog passed a few years ago. Both of us work from home full-time, which means someone is almost always here. Your dog will have lots of companionship, regular potty breaks, and won’t be left alone for long stretches. We live across from the Oakdale Nature Preserve, so daily walks are part of our routine. If your dog enjoys playing with other dogs and you’re comfortable with it, we’re also happy to visit a nearby Oakdale Bark Park for some supervised fun. Every dog is different, and we love getting to know their unique personality. Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, or just curling up on the couch, we’ll do our best to make them feel right at home. We’re happy to stick to their normal routine, administer medications if needed, and send plenty of photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. Our kids have been taught to be gentle and respectful with animals, and all interactions are always supervised by Brock or Laura. We know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, and we’ll care for them like they’re one of our own. A quick note about our home: We're a family with young children, so we have a few breed restrictions to help ensure everyone is comfortable and safe. At this time, we're unable to accept Pit Bulls or Pit Bull mixes. We appreciate your understanding and hope you'll reach out if your pup is a good fit for our home! As a work-from-home family, pet care fits seamlessly into our daily routine. We take dogs for a minimum of two walks per day, and someone is always home to provide company, bathroom breaks, and attention throughout the day. We’re an active family who spends evenings and weekends outdoors, and pups are welcome to join us for any activities they’re comfortable with — from park visits to family outings. Children in our home will be active participants in caring for the dog — helping with things like brushing, playtime, and gentle daily interaction. Adults handle the core responsibilities of walking and feeding to ensure consistency and the dog’s wellbeing.
“Hands down, Dynette is the best pet sitter I have ever used! She went above and beyond with my dog! She kept me informed and sent me pictures throughout the week and I have never been on a trip and felt so at ease about leaving my dog! I knew that my dog was in great hands and getting lots of love! I was so pleased that I am booking her for another vacation in a few months!”

“Jeff (& his wife, Sherry) took excellent care of our cat and dog for over 2 weeks, in their house. The pets were spoiled and received lots of love, attention, walks and care. I appreciated seeing pictures and videos during the time they were with Jeff and could see that our pets were very fond of Jeff and Sherry! Highly recommend!”

“Maverick had a great time and even met a new doggie friend! Michelle sent pics which was cute. Excellent communication and we think Maverick would love to see her again!”

“If you’re looking for a great dog sitter, look no further because Julie is the Best of the Best! She took such great of our dog while we were away. He requires some extra TLC because he needs medicine with his food. She followed all of our directions well and kept us informed on how he was doing. We greatly enjoyed seeing pictures and videos of him. We will definitely have Julie watch our dog in the future!”

“Ali was great and communicated to us throughout our trip perfectly. She was very flexible, and Piper seemed to have a great time with her and her family! Would love to go back there again next time”

“Returning client! Our dog settles right in at Rachel’s which tells me she’s comfortable and at ease. Rachel sends daily updates and the peace of mind we have while we are away from home without our dog is such a relief. We’ll be back again!”

“Emily is the best dog-sitter ever! We are so grateful to have found her! We were so stressed about where our puppy could stay while we were traveling for Xmas but Merlin has loved all his time with Emily and her dogs! He may have even had a more fun Christmas vacation than we did! We’re so grateful for all the photos and updates and excellent, loving care Emily provides!”

“Monika was great! She took good care of our goose, sending us photos so we could see how he was doing. We felt very comfortable that he was well cared for and will use her services again. Highly recommended.”

“Debbie and Mike were awesome as usual! They take Bulut on walks and he loves to run around in the back yard. Bulut is always happy when we get him, definitely would recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - White Bear Lake
Rachel was a fantastic kitty sitter. She was able to take my little kitten into her home for 5 nights with short notice and I was so thankful. My little kitten was happy and healthy when I picked him up. If I ever need a pet sitter again I will definitely contact Rachel first!

So grateful we found Eryn! She is not a typical dog sitter. She both loves and understands high energy dogs on a professional level. Our exuberant, mouthy young lab had a wonderful time. It provides so much peace of mind on vacation knowing our dog is enjoying herself as much (maybe more) than we are.

Thanks for being so accommodating with GiGi. She loves your yard and cuddles. Thanks for understanding dogs, how to help them relate with eachother the best & when to separate them for a break. I KNOW that she is in caring hands when she is with you, your husband, kids & dog! Thanks for saying, GiGi is such a sweet dog!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
