“This is the second time Russell and Linda have care for our Bobo. They did a great job working around what he needed for activity and being so good to him. We appreciate the availability and quick communication. Looks like Bobo had a good time too!”

“Nicole was excellent! She was kind, capable and connected with our anxious pup almost instantly. I can tell she took great care of him, he came home happy and content. Nicole was also really communicative and thoughtful to give us updates on how he was doing. I would definitely recommend!”

“Julie and family were great caretakers and communicators. My dog hadn’t been away from us for a while and arrived with his quirks. Julie was patient with him and helped him feel at home. A great Rover family!”

“I love how Julie spends time with my dogs and has a beautiful fenced in yard. I feel that she really cares about animals as she has two beautiful large dogs of her own. I will be back.”

“Anna took wonderful care of Hank while our family was on vacation. She sent photos daily and had amazing communication. Hank can’t wait to go back! Thank you, Anna!”

“Jenny and Mark were fantastic with Obi and our first time using Rover. They made me feel 100% comfortable with leaving Obi with them for the first time ever, and communication was open and reassuring. I received several updates while on our trip and found Obi very happy and comfortable staying with them. Will absolutely be reaching out to them again in the future!”

“Dynette is an amazing sitter! She took such loving care of our dog, Calvin, while we were away, sharing frequent updates and photos so we knew he was doing well. It was so reassuring knowing Calvin was in such good hands while we were gone. We highly recommend Dynette and will definitely book with her again next time we need a sitter.”

“Shevon & Ian took excellent care of our senior dog, Gunter! He had an extended stay with them while we were out of town, and they sent great pictures and updates. They have a great fenced in yard and helped Gunter with all his medications. Shevon & Ian are great communicators, and were very accommodating of our special requests.”

“I was very comfortable with Danielle and Chad. My dogs were well cared for, I didn't have a moment of concern. It was the first time leaving Lola, they were patient with her although she was rather skittish. I highly recommend them if you need care for your dogs.”

“Lilo loves to stay with Roxanne! She enjoys the time exploring her fenced in yard and all the snuggles she gets as well. We appreciate the twice daily updates from Roxanne and the many wonderful photos she takes. Lilo requires meds three times per day and we are so thankful to Roxanne for taking such good care of our sweet girl. Thank you Roxanne!”

Lauren is very responsive and sends daily updates with pics, which for a nervous mom is an absolute relief to see and know your dog is doing well! Lauren is also very accommodating to your needs. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend her and we already booked another 5 day stay with her. Thank you Lauren for your wonderful care of my fur child ❤️”

About: Hi! My name is Allie and I've spent most of my life loving and caring for pets in multiple different environments over the years. I grew up with a bushel of miniature schnauzers, a few rodents and a snake. In college I took in a feral barn kitten and made her the talk of the university! After college, I spent 5-6 years working in a dog daycare facility which gave me experience with all different breeds and an immense amount of knowledge on behavior. After doggy daycare I moved on to working in a veterinary hospital which was an incredible resource and opportunity for me to increase me knowledge on medications as well as other medical knowledge. I would love to have the opportunity to spoil your pet as well as give you a safe space to leave your furry friend! Over the summer I am out of work and home with my pups and kids. In late August I will be headed back to work at a school nearby but working relatively short hours. We love to go on walks, to the dog park, the human park or just lounge in the back yard. I live in a 4 bedroom house with a large back yard. It is not fenced in but I do have a long line. I have a 12 year old pup who is a calm, unbothered queen and a year old pup who loves everyone and everything. In addition, I have 2 kiddos that are incredibly respectful of other pets space and will love your pets as much as their own however they can be crated if needed 😉
“Lisa is amazing! This was my first time using Rover and I was nervous about who I would find. Lisa and her boys are dog lovers that do Rover to get their dog fix since they travel and no longer have their own dog. She is a runner and Lola came back exhausted from the walks. I feel so lucky to have found Lisa and cannot recommend her enough!”

“Dave was absolutely great with our dog and fabulous to work with! When we picked her up, we could tell she was in good hands and she really liked him. We will definitely book with Dave again!”

“Robert was great! Our golden doodle seemed to be very well taken care of and Robert’s communication was quick and professional. We will definitely book with him again!”

Sierra welcomed our dog for a great weekend play date. We appreciated that she was able to offer flexibility with drop off and pickup times since we were driving from a few hours away with a toddler. Gadget returned to us happy and we know from the pictures that he had a ton of fun playing and sun bathing with her dog.

Jen and her family were amazing dog sitters! They took such good care of my dogs and sent me daily photo updates, which really gave me peace of mind while I was away. I could tell my dogs were happy and well cared for. I truly appreciate all the love and attention they gave them. Highly recommend!

So grateful we found Eryn! She is not a typical dog sitter. She both loves and understands high energy dogs on a professional level. Our exuberant, mouthy young lab had a wonderful time. It provides so much peace of mind on vacation knowing our dog is enjoying herself as much (maybe more) than we are.

Thanks for being so accommodating with GiGi. She loves your yard and cuddles. Thanks for understanding dogs, how to help them relate with eachother the best & when to separate them for a break. I KNOW that she is in caring hands when she is with you, your husband, kids & dog! Thanks for saying, GiGi is such a sweet dog!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
