“Jessica was fantastic about taking care of my dog. They gave me daily update and could tell they really wanted to make her comfortable. They were responsive to all of my questions it was such a great experience.”

“Laura was a fantastic sitter for our dog, Hans! We knew when we met her that Laura would do an excellent job taking care of him. She is a great communicator and you can tell she will really love your pup and give him lots of attention. She also had a great big backyard :) thanks, Laura!”

“It was our first time booking with Monica and she was so wondeful! She kept us up to date with our dog. She was prepared and read our care plan before we dropped off our dog, which I dont find that common with other sitters. She was also very accommodating with our drop-off and pick-up time. And best part is that our Aussie was happy from all the pictures Monica sent to us. She's on our top to book for future sitter! Highly recommended!”

“Our chihuahua stayed with Kelly and her family for the day and seemed very well taken care of. Kelly sent photos of him, obviously enjoying himself with her kids. I would not hesitate to leave our little guy there again.”

“Dogs really enjoy themselves here! It’s an open, welcoming atmosphere where dogs can play and socialize with the other pups. I love a good environment that’s comfortable for both dogs and children, and this place fits right in. They have a big backyard for the dogs to run and burn off energy, and overall it seemed like a perfect fit for ours. They’re also very communicative and send pictures, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend! 🐾💛”

“Sierra welcomed our dog for a great weekend play date. We appreciated that she was able to offer flexibility with drop off and pickup times since we were driving from a few hours away with a toddler. Gadget returned to us happy and we know from the pictures that he had a ton of fun playing and sun bathing with her dog.”

“Allene took such good care of my bb Sloane! She sent great recaps and the cutest photos each day. She also has two wonderful pups that offered Sloane a lot of friendship and play during her stay and they were gentle with her since she’s little! Would definitely book Allene again!”

“Janine did a great job with Lucy. Lucy was comfortable immediately in Janine's place and got plenty of exercise. Janine was kind and well organized. I highly recommend her.”

“This was our first time using Rover and first time for our Golden Retriever Leika, to stay with someone other than family. Jenny and her family took such good care of our dog and sent updates every day. I would definitely use them again and recommend to others!”

“Steffanie and her family took great care of our corgi, Ellie. She got lots of play time, snuggles, and even got to help pick out a Christmas tree. Will definitely use Steffanie again in the future!”

“Stan was such a wonderful dog-sitter for our Bernese Mountain Dog, Flora! He was thoughtful and conscientious, meeting with us beforehand and running through a list of questions about her specific needs and habits. Throughout our trip, he sent updates with photos that showed our dog living her best life. Flora got along so well with his two dogs and they all three took idyllic snowy walks together and enjoyed playing together in Stan’s gorgeously wooded yard. We feel lucky to have met Stan and found a new home away from home for Flora. We had such peace of mind white we were away out of the country. Flora was in great and loving hands.”

“Betsy was great! I left my giant German shepherd mix puppy who has separation issues with her for the weekend and she did an awesome job accommodating him. I felt at ease knowing she has many years experience and accepts that all dogs have their own quirks.”

“Jessica was the best! After a bit of a fiasco with another sitter, Jessica came through last minute and was a great back up. I will absolutely book her again. Our dog came home absolutely exhausted, but so happy, and we can't thank her enough for helping us out this weekend!”

“Rozalyn was a wonderful caretaker of our dog. Her dog and our dog got a long really well. She did everything that I asked her to do. She also sent us a lot of pictures! We would highly recommend her.”

“Robert took great care of our two dogs when we left them For A full week! He sent us updates and photos daily so we had no worries and could rest easy. Our boys came home Happy and relaxed! Highly recommend! We will be using Robert again!”

About: I have had dogs most of my life and have always been a responsible owner. I know how important it is for dogs to get exercised and stimulated. I work during the week during normal business hours but my adult son is with me and would see to it that your dog is taken care of during that time. He is also a dog lover and is very responsible and used to volunteer with the humane society. I would be attending to your dog in the evenings and early morning. I am available throughout the weekends. My back yard is not fenced and is adjacent to green space. I would make sure that your dog is walked regularly with a leash (at least twice a day).
“Jennifer did a great job with our pup. We enjoyed the photos updates. She doesn’t have a fenced yard but she is not anywhere near a main road and had a nice space for him to go out. She also took him for walks often. Our dog was in good spirits when we picked him up. Would highly recommend using her!”

“Brody's first weekend with Brianna and her family was wonderful! We got lots of pics and videos (which we shared with some guests at our son's wedding - a big hit when people asked where Brody was staying!). Brody especially loves Brianna's daughter and follows her everywhere. We are so thankful we chose this family and will be using again!”

“Lan did a great job caring for Martha and Susan! The picture update was appreciated, but girls looked very happy. Lan’s dog, Lucy, was adorable and friendly.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Willernie
Rachel was a fantastic kitty sitter. She was able to take my little kitten into her home for 5 nights with short notice and I was so thankful. My little kitten was happy and healthy when I picked him up. If I ever need a pet sitter again I will definitely contact Rachel first!

Isabella was wonderful! She obviously cares for the dogs a lot and updated us on how the dogs were doing! She sent photos and was super responsive. She took the dogs for walks as well. Our dogs seemed to have a great time! This is the second time we have had Isabella watch our dogs and as soon as we pulled into her house our dogs tails were wagging because they were excited about going to her place! She was phenomenal!
Katie was awesome with my dog Sampson. She took him for several long walks, played fetch in her large fenced yard, and went above and beyond to make Sampson feel comfortable and at home. It was a relief to know Sampson was in such good hands. I will definitely be reaching out to Katie for future dog sitting needs!

Thanks for being so accommodating with GiGi. She loves your yard and cuddles. Thanks for understanding dogs, how to help them relate with eachother the best & when to separate them for a break. I KNOW that she is in caring hands when she is with you, your husband, kids & dog! Thanks for saying, GiGi is such a sweet dog!

This is the 2nd time weve booked with Audra and Clark, and we're always so glad to work with them! We had some unpredictable dates that we needed a sitter for, and they were so flexible and accommodating!! Their boys do so well with our dog, and keep him nice and active! Our pup is always content and happy when he comes home. ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
