“We had an excellent experience with Cait and Tim! Our pup didn’t have good manners when meeting their family dog but they didn’t seem to be worried. He eventually settled in and he had a great time for his overnight. He was so tired the following day from all the activity at their house. We’d never used a service like this before. We would recommend them 100%!”

“Jen and her family were amazing dog sitters! They took such good care of my dogs and sent me daily photo updates, which really gave me peace of mind while I was away. I could tell my dogs were happy and well cared for. I truly appreciate all the love and attention they gave them. Highly recommend!”

“I love how Julie spends time with my dogs and has a beautiful fenced in yard. I feel that she really cares about animals as she has two beautiful large dogs of her own. I will be back.”

“Rachel was an excellent sitter for Rosie!! Her space is very dog friendly. Rosie has some anxiety, but she seemed very comfortable with Rachel. I appreciated Rachel’s daily updates and pictures. Would highly recommend Rachel as a sitter!”

“I’ve never left my Smudge before. Kaitlyn you are a God send! Thank you for the videos to reassure me that he was happy. He obviously loves you! I will only call you for my baby! Highly recommend you for anyone that is nervous about leaving their pet!! ❤️”

“I was very comfortable with Danielle and Chad. My dogs were well cared for, I didn't have a moment of concern. It was the first time leaving Lola, they were patient with her although she was rather skittish. I highly recommend them if you need care for your dogs.”

About: I have had dogs most of my life and have always been a responsible owner. I know how important it is for dogs to get exercised and stimulated. I work during the week during normal business hours but my adult son is with me and would see to it that your dog is taken care of during that time. He is also a dog lover and is very responsible and used to volunteer with the humane society. I would be attending to your dog in the evenings and early morning. I am available throughout the weekends. My back yard is not fenced and is adjacent to green space. I would make sure that your dog is walked regularly with a leash (at least twice a day).
“Katie was so great! She was super responsive and sent pics while we were gone. Shes super friendly and took care of our dogs like her own. 12/10, would definitely recommend!”

“Shevon & Ian took excellent care of our senior dog, Gunter! He had an extended stay with them while we were out of town, and they sent great pictures and updates. They have a great fenced in yard and helped Gunter with all his medications. Shevon & Ian are great communicators, and were very accommodating of our special requests.”

“Clover had great time with Mary and her crew! I never worried about her and knew that she was getting all the fun and love and care she needed. Mary even gave her a bath before we picked up because it got a little dirty outside after rain. Above and beyond, much appreciated! Highly recommend!”

“Jeff (& his wife, Sherry) took excellent care of our cat and dog for over 2 weeks, in their house. The pets were spoiled and received lots of love, attention, walks and care. I appreciated seeing pictures and videos during the time they were with Jeff and could see that our pets were very fond of Jeff and Sherry! Highly recommend!”

“Julie and Jesse were awesome pet sitters! I received updates and pictures daily. Both of my dogs seemed to really enjoy their time. I will be a repeat client for sure!! Highly recommended!”
“Jordon and Melissa took great care of our mini golden doodle puppy for a long weekend sending lots of pictures of her having so much fun with the whole family! They were also flexible with our pick up and drop off which we really appreciated.”

“Lan has watched my puppy Posie a couple times now and she takes such great care of her! She’s super accommodating- my flight was delayed this past weekend and she was very nice about keeping my puppy longer than planned. Highly recommend her!”

“Megan was the greatest auntie our dog could wish for! She is very sweet, helpful, and organized. We got daily updates and pictures that were really fun for us to read and look at at the end of our days. Definitely recommend her if you’re looking for a trustworthy and fun sitter!”

“Nicole did a great job caring for my sweet Penelope! She sent pictures and updates which I appreciate! Her cats were welcoming and being that my cat has never really been around others cats made me nervous but Penelope did pretty good overall! Thanks Nicole for keeping her safe and making sure she felt comfortable during her week stay! Much appreciated ♥️🐈”

“I appreciated that Paige let our dogs do a meet-and-greet before I committed to a multi-day stay to ensure they would get along. While caring for my dog Paige emailed me pictures and updates to let me know he was adjusting nicely. Upon pickup my dog was happy, healthy and well groomed. I will definitely contact Paige to care for my dog in the future.”

“Susie was great! Hank had a wonderful time playing with her dog, and another dog she was sitting. He came home wiped out from all the running around in her backyard.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Oaks
Jessica and family took wonderful care of our dog. They have a wonderful fenced in yard, clean and safe house. They took her for walks and gave her lots of cuddles. I appreciate the daily pictures and updates on how she was doing while we were gone. Highly recommend using them for boarding.
So grateful we found Eryn! She is not a typical dog sitter. She both loves and understands high energy dogs on a professional level. Our exuberant, mouthy young lab had a wonderful time. It provides so much peace of mind on vacation knowing our dog is enjoying herself as much (maybe more) than we are.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
