“This is our second time with Rachel. We love the photo updates and the great care Pepper gets. We know we don’t need to worry about our pup when she is at Rachel’s!”

“Colleen took such amazing care of Noli, she sent several updates, the cutest pictures and she even cooked her special food when our pup had a tummy ache. Noli came home very relaxed and happy to have met her new fur friend Nico. Thanks again Colleen!”

“Did a great job with our dog, gave regular updates of how things were going, and sent pictures. Kyle was also quick and responsive with questions and communication. Overall, great stay for our dog!”

“Wes was wonderful with our dog Zoey! Zoey is a senior dog and needs a bit of extra attention, and Wes and his family gave her just that! Received photos throughout her stay, would definitely recommend & use again in the future.”

“Ned was great. This was our first time using Rover and Ned was very accommodating and willing to do a meet & greet before our stay. Our dog can be a bit shy around new people but hit it off right away with Ned and when we came to drop off for our actual trip I can tell our dog remembered the place and was excited to see Ned. Highly recommend Ned!”

“This was our second time leaving our dog with Betsy, and once again, she did not disappoint. Our dog came back happy and clearly enjoyed the long stay. Betsy was fantastic at communicating with us throughout the stay, regularly sending pictures/videos showing what our dog was up to. :) Thank you Betsy! Would use Betsy again.”

“This was our first time working with Susan and she took wonderful care of our Naboo. Susan was communicative and was very responsive. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience in Rover!”

“Lizzie did a great job with my dog Bianka! Bianka was happy and settled in nicely with her while I was out of town. she was able to administer her medication twice a day, which isn’t easy to do. I definitely will be booking her again in the future!”

“Our pup Frankie had an amazing time! They made sure she was comfortable and were great at communicating!! Highly recommend! We’ll be booking with them again so Frankie can hang out and play with their dog Zep again!”

“Gabrielle and Tommie took wonderful care of our dog over a long weekend! Gabrielle is very quick to respond to messages and sent us several photos of Marty during his stay. He was clearly having a wonderful time and they even filled up a kiddie pool for him to play in on a hot day! We would love for our dog to stay with them again in the future!”

“We love having our dog stay with Jasmine. She has a great time with her dogs and always comes home happy. It has made the times we need to go out of town so much less stressful then when we would board her somewhere. Thanks Jasmine!”

“Our dog Leena has a great time and was exhausted when we picked her up. Alisha and Cameron and their family sent a lot of updates and clearly spent a lot of time the pups. Would definitely recommend and plan to send our dog to visit them again in the future!”

“Deneen and her husband were both so kind and took incredible care of my two dogs (one of them a senior). She was always very quick to respond to any questions I had and sent daily pictures while I was away. I’ll definitely book with her again!”

“Always dependable. When I secure a spot for Murphy he gets more than just daycare....he gets authentic love and guidance and comes home calm and relaxed. I appreciate the dog socialization Murphy gets from many Rover homes but in this home he gets the individual human attention I can't always provide him as they don't take many pets at a time. I really appreciate these two dog lovers!”

Lori was so excellent to our super senior kitty! She did oral meds twice a day and helped make sure she was eating and adjusting to her environment comfortably. Lori sent plenty of updates and pictures and made us feel very comfortable leaving our prescious little old lady with her.

Shevon and Ian took excellent care of my poodle, Basca. They even set aside a request to watch another dog because it was her first time and she can get overwhelmed. And they understood about her being a flight risk. They sent me pictures and reports every day. In addition to all of this, they’re just as nice as they can be. I absolutely recommend them! -Tracy Wilson

Amy took great care of my dog Maple! Maple is dog-reactive and takes a while to warm up to people, but Amy showed him nothing but patience and made it a great, fun stay for him. She asked great questions at our meet and greet and when I dropped him off to make sure she knew his favorite toys and games, his meal and treat habits, and how to make him feel supported. I felt assured he was in safe and attentive hands! She even agreed to keep him an extra night when our flight got delayed, and her flexibility and understanding turned a minor nightmare into a small hiccup. Apologies to the neighbors that had to listen to Maple bark all weekend, but huge thanks to Amy! 💖

We were so glad that Jada took care of our very senior dog! He's 17 years old and never boarded before. She took care of his feeding and medication needs, gave him frequent walks, and did a great job of communicating. We were able to do our cruise, and our dog came home healthy and happy.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
