Pet care experience

Lover of all animals, big and small

I am a highly experienced pet caretaker. I grew up with dogs, cats, small furry critters, reptiles and amphibians. I have never met an animal that I didn’t love! Being around animals of all types brings me great joy, and I have a passion for caretaking. I have cared for elderly animals as well as animals with a variety of health conditions and disabilities. I am currently working almost exclusively from home providing doggy daycare and home boarding services, so I have plenty of time to tend to the needs of your pet. I occasionally work in person for short durations of time, typically not exceeding 3 hours. The flexibility in my daily life allows me to easily accommodate most schedules and routines. I offer drop in and walking services locally between the hours of 11 AM and 8 PM unless otherwise arranged. Additionally, I volunteer one day a week at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. I have one dog, a dachshund named Daisy! She is very well socialized and loves making new friends of all sizes. Even moreso since we sadly had to say goodbye to her older sister in May. I often take Daisy and our guests on walks around the Central Park area of Roseville. If it’s allowed, we’ll take a trip to Dairy Queen for pup cups on occasion! I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for playtime and exercise! The fence is 4 feet tall and I have a double gated entry to prevent potential escapes when entering and exiting. Furry friends are allowed on all of the furniture and are not required to be kenneled at any time unless requested, or if it’s something that they’re used to at home. I often host multiple dogs at a time and have extensive experience navigating canine conflict. I am well versed in supervising a variety of play styles and am very in tune with dog (and animal) behavior in general. Shy dogs as well as playful dogs have a great time here, as the comfort and safety of your pet is my top priority. Because I host multiple dogs at a time, I do require an in depth meet and greet prior to a booking. I love taking cute pictures of animals and send a bunch!

Meagan did a great job of keeping us posted about our dog Jackie. It was our first time away from our six year old rescue for more than a few hours. We didn't know what to expect or how she would do. From the pictures Meagan sent daily, Jackie seemed happy to be with other dogs. Thanks, Meagan. We appreciate the good care you provided. Pat B.

Schedule

Because I work almost entirely from home, pet care is a big part of my daily routine. My girls need frequent potty breaks and lots of hugs, so I’m with them, as well as any Rover guests, essentially all day.

Pets

A typical day

I love to engage pets physically and mentally! My dog, Daisy is a big fan of playing fetch. The nature trails near us provide for some great sniffing adventures! We sometimes make dog popsicles when the weather allows. My bed and couches are pet-friendly, equipped with ramps and stairs, so snuggling is also a frequent activity!

I can accommodate any needs your pet may have. Please let me know what makes your pet happy and healthy and I will do just that! I also like to know any history of health/behavioral issues they may have, as well as their vet info and any “quirks” that make them the unique little individuals they are!
