I cannot recommend him enough 😃 Our dog, Archie, had a great time staying with him and got lots of love, attention, and walkies 🐾 Robert sent such fun updates, pictures, and videos that we loved getting and made us smile so much while away from our little guy 🤍 We will definitely be booking with him anytime we need to board Archie again in the future. About: Over the years, I've cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including puppies and senior dogs with special needs. I have experience administering oral medications and providing compassionate care for senior dogs with hearing and vision impairments. I understand the extra patience, consistency, and gentle attention they need to feel secure. I work from home three days a week, which allows me to provide plenty of companionship, supervision, and personalized attention throughout the day. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine, so your dog will never feel like an afterthought. Whether it's regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply relaxing together, I'm able to give each dog the time and care they deserve. My flexible schedule helps me maintain a consistent routine, ensuring your pup feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Although I do not have a fenced in yard, I do have plenty of green space for your dog to do their business or run around for exercise. I am able to take them for walks around the neighborhood or relax and chill on the couch.
“I cannot say enough good things about Kara and Adam. I have been consistently using their family for the past two years and have never had anything but great experiences. I always get a flood of pictures from Kara of her and her family loving on my dog. It is such a good feeling to see how excited my dog gets when we pull up to their house and makes leaving her for trips a little bit easier.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - New Brighton
Jana and her family were SO incredible! I left my dog and my cat with them for over two weeks, and I was so reassured to know they were in the best of hands, especially because I got so many updates and pictures. My dog had an absolute blast with lots of love, walks, and play time, but the real testament to Jana and her family’s care is my cat: she can be standoffish and warms up slowly to new people, but she let them pet her a little bit and played with them occasionally, which is a huge compliment from her! Absolutely would recommend them to anyone looking for their animals to be in good, loving hands.

Pamela was an excellent sitter. Communicating before and during the stay was quick and timely. She sent photos and videos, as well as administering an allergy pill each day. I knew my dog was safe and in good care and I never had any concerns. I would highly recommend Pamela.

I’m really happy with my decision to trust Loraine with cat sitting. She loves cats and is very knowledgeable about them. She is super friendly and accommodating, and by the time I left after drop off I felt like my cats would feel very comfortable! She provided lots of updates and communication which meant a lot, and I know the cats were as happy and safe as possible in a new environment. I would recommend Lori!!!

Amy took great care of my dog Maple! Maple is dog-reactive and takes a while to warm up to people, but Amy showed him nothing but patience and made it a great, fun stay for him. She asked great questions at our meet and greet and when I dropped him off to make sure she knew his favorite toys and games, his meal and treat habits, and how to make him feel supported. I felt assured he was in safe and attentive hands! She even agreed to keep him an extra night when our flight got delayed, and her flexibility and understanding turned a minor nightmare into a small hiccup. Apologies to the neighbors that had to listen to Maple bark all weekend, but huge thanks to Amy! 💖

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
