“Amy took excellent care of my two dogs over a long weekend. She handled their medicines without issue and was great about sending photos and updates. 10/10 would use Amy again for dogsitting.”

“Terrie was communicative and great with Khiro. He can get pretty high energy and is needy for the most part - but she was very understanding and flexible with us, especially when our flight was delayed and we were late for our original pickup time.”

“I was so worried to leave my dog. I appreciated David’s pictures and he was so prompt replying whenever I sent a message. He is knowledgeable about my dog’s breed and gave me helpful tips. I will definitely use David to watch my dog again!”
“My dog was not sure she was ready to come home when I came to pick her up. She was so exhausted, slept much of the next day. I like the fact that Nathan also has other dogs for my dog to play with and a nice fenced in yard.”

“I felt completely at ease with Lindsay watching my pup, Loki. We did a meet and greet prior to our visit which made me feel more comfortable and ready to leave him for 4 days. During his visit I received updates daily and photos! Very happy with my experience.”
“Promise took great care of my dog, he made friends with her dogs, and he looked great when we picked him up him up. Would definitely recommend her, and bring him back again!”

“We highly recommend Chee and Ju for all your pet sitting needs! From the start, they were very accommodating and kept us updated with photos throughout the four nights Bentley was with them. We appreciate everything they did for us and will definitely use them again. Bentley was well loved and got plenty of attention and exercise!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Erin and Ramin! They took excellent care of our dog and gave us peace of mind while we were away. We especially appreciated the frequent updates, photos, and messages, which made us feel connected and reassured that our pup was happy and well cared for. We would definitely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Maria was the best sitter we could have found for Luna. We were always receiving pictures and video of how much fun our dog was having. She always looked extremely happy, well taken care of and loved. Communication was excellent, sitter was gracious, the house and backyard were big and spacious. Maria is our official doggy sitter.”

“Liam was awesome and genuinely loving to my pittie Queenie. He sends pictures keep me with updates and response quickly to messages. Thank you Liam for the excellent care you gave my girl.”

“Maureen was so accommodating with our last minute search for care for our 9 month old puppy. Being our first time leaving Addie overnight, we were somewhat apprehensive. However, Maureen put our mind at ease with listening to our needs and requests, her reassurance, and in providing the care we wanted our puppy to have. The texts throughout the day and pictures of Addie reassured us we made the right decision in choosing Maureen. We will definitely contact her in the future when the need arises.”

“Kyle did a great job caring for our pup while we were out of town and was extremely prompt with all of our correspondence; including in our request to watch our pup, which really put us at ease! I definitely recommend him! :)”

“Timothy was a lifesaver! He went to my friend's house to pick up my keys and then dropped by and picked up Saffy for me as I was hospitalized. It all came together so perfectly, and I didn't have to worry. In addition, he knows about dog behavior and his other pups got along well with Saffy. It couldn't have been better! 🤘”

“Cassie was wonderful. She took care of my cat Deacon for 7 days. He was a handful, but Cassie was very patient with him and did her best to bring him out of his shell. She kept me updated and I never once worried about his care. I strongly recommend Cassie. She is a very kind and caring person.”

“Kelly and Jim and their family take excellent care of our pup. They have a clean and loving home that gives me confidence my dog will be in a wonderful environment while we're away. Plus their dog has become a great buddy and playmate for our Archie.”

Pamela was an excellent sitter. Communicating before and during the stay was quick and timely. She sent photos and videos, as well as administering an allergy pill each day. I knew my dog was safe and in good care and I never had any concerns. I would highly recommend Pamela.

Our dog Kobe had such a fun time with Davis and Emma! We loved all the daily photos and updates we got from them and could tell he was having a blast at their home. We had complete peace of mind on our trip knowing he was is great hands and would definitely book with them again!

Jules was an amazing baby sitter for our puppy Taro. He is a high energy guy with a lot of hang ups. Jules kept him happy and snuggled him. We were in Japan, 14 hours ahead and Jules was still easy to connect with the whole trip. She left ample pictures for us to see and assured us he was a happy guy. He even helped her garden! Taro is a very heat sensative dog who struggles to be outside in bad heat. It was 90+ some of the days he was with her and she made sure he was a happy safe boy. I can not express how well cared for Taro was while we were gone. It made it easier to be thousands of miles away from him.

Amy was FANTASTIC with my doggo!!! Extremely attentive and responsive to all my messages. She takes wonderful care of all the dogs she watches and is very clearly excited about making sure they are as happy as can be! My doggo was so happy! We might try to plan vacations just so we can board our collie with Amy!

An amazing second stay with Elsa and Nick! Enzo was living his best life (again) and truly didn’t want to leave when my husband picked him up. Thank you, team! Also - a quick note that Enzo’s behavior with strangers actually improved after his first stay with Elsa and Nick in April. He was much less anxious with new people at our house; an amazing byproduct of their wonderful care!

I can’t recommend her enough! She took amazing care of my dog, Toby, while I was away. She kept me updated, made sure he was happy and comfortable, and treated him like he was her own. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and trustworthy hands. Toby was happy, well cared for, and clearly loved during his stay. Thank you for going above and beyond. I will definitely use her services in the future again.

Chee Ming & Ju-Ping Y. and family were exceptional. Rumi had a fantastic time playing with the family and family dogs. He was full of smiles in all the photos and when we picked him up. The pictures and updates were timely and reassuring that he was having a great time. We are excited to rebook when we need care for Rumi.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
