“Jordon and Melisa provided good updates while watching our dog for the weekend. The kids seemed excited to help care for Gaia. I'd definitely recommend them for a stay!”

“This was our first time using Rover. Luna has always stayed at a kennel. I don’t think we will be using the kennel anymore! Luna loved every second at Maureen’s! Thank you so much!”

“Nicole and her family are so kind and loving. They did such an amazing job watching Pepper when we were out of town. Nicole sent daily updates and photos, which were fun to see each day. I felt so comfortable knowing our pup was being well cared for and I was able to relax and enjoy our trip without worrying about her. Thank you so much, Nicole and family!!”

“We highly recommend Chee and Ju for all your pet sitting needs! From the start, they were very accommodating and kept us updated with photos throughout the four nights Bentley was with them. We appreciate everything they did for us and will definitely use them again. Bentley was well loved and got plenty of attention and exercise!”

“An amazing second stay with Elsa and Nick! Enzo was living his best life (again) and truly didn’t want to leave when my husband picked him up. Thank you, team! Also - a quick note that Enzo’s behavior with strangers actually improved after his first stay with Elsa and Nick in April. He was much less anxious with new people at our house; an amazing byproduct of their wonderful care!”

“We had a great experience boarding with Susie! We felt very comfortable leaving our dog in her care. In fact, after seeing the photos and getting reports, we were worried our dog may not want to come home with us! Thank you!”

“I was nervous to leave Jane as this was the first time she’s stayed with anyone other than my parents, but Sue and Craig were absolutely amazing! They made sure to understand all of my preferences and Jane’s schedule and demeanor. They checked in with me consistently with updates and pictures, which i was grateful for. They cared for Jane as if she was their own and I will definitely reach out to them again for care. Highly recommend, in every way!”

“Colleen and Joe took great care of Theo. Lots of adorable pictures were sent and we can tell Theo was happy staying over at their place despite his separation anxiety. Would definitely recommend!”

“Andrew is such a thoughtful and well-prepared caregiver for my dogs. Great communication, lots of pictures, and the pups come back happy and healthy.”

“Thank you Eric and Martha for taking my pup in with such joy and enthusiasm! He wouldn’t stop talking on the car ride home about all the fun things he did with you, picking up sticks, recycling cardboard boxes, and getting extra treats. Keep up the great job!”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I currently have both a dog and a cat, so I'm comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs. In addition to caring for my own pets, I spent the last five years fostering dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperaments. From energetic puppies to older dogs and those needing extra patience or structure, I've gained experience helping dogs feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply a calm companion while you're away, I'll provide dependable, attentive care and treat them like one of my own. As a teacher, I have a very flexible schedule during the summer, allowing me to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. This flexibility means I can provide consistent care, plenty of attention, and stick to your pet's normal routine. During the school year, I'm still available for evenings, weekends, holidays, and school breaks. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. In my home, I have a friendly dog, a cat who will most likely just keep his distance, and an almost 4-year-old daughter who has been around animals her entire life. She has learned to be gentle and respectful with pets, and all interactions are always supervised. While I don't have a fenced yard, that means my own dog is accustomed to multiple leashed walks and outdoor breaks throughout the day. If your dog stays with me, they'll receive the same regular exercise, attention, and supervised time outside. When caring for pets in your home, I'll follow your instructions closely to keep their routine as consistent as possible. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, medication, or plenty of companionship, I'll treat your pet like one of my own.

“Terrie was very comfortable and confident about caring for my senior pug Frankie, which made me comfortable and confident with leaving him there, and he was happy when he came home. Terrie sent pictures and responded to any questions I had of her. I plan to use her again.”

“Derek and his family were wonderful caregivers for our dog Zoey for 10 days. Zoey came home happy and healthy and it was apparent she adores Derek! We are so grateful and will use Derek again in the future.”

“Basil had so much fun playing with Augie and running outside in their fenced in backyard in fresh snow. Very nice family and we would love to have them care for Basil again.”

“Bre was wonderful!! Chewy had a great vacation & with updates & photos we were able to relax & enjoy our cruise. Bre took our worries of leaving our little guy behind away. We will definitely use Bre again. Highly recommend. Scott, Linda & Chewy”

“Cassie was wonderful. She took care of my cat Deacon for 7 days. He was a handful, but Cassie was very patient with him and did her best to bring him out of his shell. She kept me updated and I never once worried about his care. I strongly recommend Cassie. She is a very kind and caring person.”

“Promise took great care of my dog, he made friends with her dogs, and he looked great when we picked him up him up. Would definitely recommend her, and bring him back again!”

Amy was FANTASTIC with my doggo!!! Extremely attentive and responsive to all my messages. She takes wonderful care of all the dogs she watches and is very clearly excited about making sure they are as happy as can be! My doggo was so happy! We might try to plan vacations just so we can board our collie with Amy!

Jennifer, Eric and their kids did a wonderful job sitting for Hiro. You could tell they are truly pet people and cared for our dog while we were away. They sent daily pics and took him on walks. Hiro can be quirky at times, but they did an amazing job playing and spending time with him. We would love to use them again in the future!

Our sitters communication was excellent, they went above and beyond by purchasing rugs so our puppy could navigate the wood floors around their home. I would like to thank them for accepting Riley on very short notice! I would recommend this sitter to others anytime. J & B

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
