“Patty & Patrick are wonderful! We can't say enough good things about them!! This was the first time in 7 years we ever left our St. Bernard overnight (he had to stay 3 nights) We were apprehensive because he gets anxious when we leave him just for a few hours. We received photos and updates daily to reassure us he was doing well. They spoiled him! We would not hesitate to use them again!!!”

“Tori was well taken care of during her stay at Susie’s. Susie is delightful and enjoys keeping dogs. You can see by her enthusiasm and sense of pride in her care. Definitely will use her again.”

“Susan & Craig are the best! I love the communication and daily pictures of Dakota. I felt relax knowing Dakota was in a great care. I would definitely rebook if Susan & Craig are available for any future trips!”

“Colleen and Joe took amazing care of our dog, Tobi! I felt very comfortable, leaving him in their care. They even went above and beyond to send pictures and give Tobi a bath after a long day outside. Will absolutely use them in the future!”
“Sophia was great! Our Weimaraner had a great stay at her house and loved her huge, fenced-in yard. I appreciated getting pictures & updates while we were away. I highly recommend Sophia!”

“This guy obviously loves dogs and our Oliver was very happy to spend time with him and his dog. He took him on walks and sent us pictures and videos to reassure us that everything was fine. Will definitely book him again. Next time, we travel!”

“I was talking with Selah as we went home and she said she very much enjoyed her stay with Shelby and the family. Selah also said it was nice they had a fenced yard and a German Shepherd so she could play with one of her own kind. Shelby kept us informed as to how things were going. We were very pleased.”

“Nicole was an amazing sitter for our pup! She was very flexible with times and showed our girl the best care while we were on vacation. We will definitely be using Nicole in the future!”

“I was on a vacation for 2 weeks to overseas with my whole family (two 7 months old twin infants and my husband) and had to find a dependable sitter to care for my yorkie, Conan. We usually take Conan with us wherever we go, but it was not an option this time as our hands are full with our infant twins. Since Conan does not have much experience staying in other homes and other people, we were quite nervous if he is going to be fine during the two weeks. This was the longest time he was ever separated from us. He is also very shy with strangers and not very social. All these meant that we really needed to find a perfect sitter for Conan so he does not get stressed out during the two weeks. I searched Rover and found Terrie. Since Conan does not get along well with other dogs, we were looking a sitter not owning a pet. Another criteria that had to meet was a fenced yard. And the most important one, good reviews! All these limits directed me to Terrie. I can only say good things about Terrie. She was sending multiple pictures and video clips every day. Those pictures were showing how Conan was doing, not just a profile picture. I was so worried that he would be nervous and not get along with Terrie, but I was so wrong! He was playing with his toys just like he does at our home, he slept with Terrie in her bed, he got cuddled a lot, basically got all love he needed. He even got territorial and assumed every person come into Terrie's house is a intruder and got into a "guard dog" mode. He does that when only he feels home and comfortable. So I was very happy that he was having great time, get a daily walk, get attention, and lots of love. Conan stayed one night at Terrie's 1 wk prior to the long stay and I think it helped much him to get comfortable. Conan is not an easy dog to handle except for his tiny size. Despite his behavior problems, Terrie and her family were very patient with him and gave him lots of love. She is really a terrific dog sitter. I absolutely loved all pictures she sent. She is very reliable, dog loving, and nice person. If you are looking for a loving, kind, patient, dependable dog sitter for your four-legged furry baby, Terries is the one. For any future trips I will use her again!”

“We had such a great experience! She was kind, attentive, and took the time to do a meet and greet beforehand so she could get to know Mochi, his routine, and everything he needed to feel comfortable and at home. He adjusted so quickly, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She kept us updated on how he was doing and anything that came up, and I felt completely comfortable and confident that he was in the best hands. We would absolutely trust her with Mochi again!”

“Mocha had lots of fun with Loretta! Mocha got to go on many walks, and was provided with more than enough time to get all the exercise she needed. Loretta was very attentive to Mocha, and ensured all her needs were always met!”

“Angela was amazing with Luna and Manu! We received daily pictures, videos, and updates. She is so loving with the dogs. Angela opened her heart and home for our dogs and really gave us peace of mind while we were traveling. She has a large fenced yard! The pooches loved her and we are so glad we found a place where our dogs can go when we need it. Thank you so much, Angela!”

“Luna had a fabulous stay with Renee and James! She was treated so well and had ample walks and backyard time. Thank you both for taking great care of her while I was out of state!”

“Snoopy had such a great time with Cassie and her two dogs. We were nervous with it being his first time away from home so long. Cassie was able to get him comfortable and he seems to fit right in. Slept over night with no issues and the updates showed how much he was cared for! Can’t thank her enough for the care she took with snoopy.”

Amy gave our Angel all the love and cuddles she needed to get through her first time away from home. The daily pictures let us know that she was calm and happy. Our dog Kobe had such a fun time with Davis and Emma! We loved all the daily photos and updates we got from them and could tell he was having a blast at their home. We had complete peace of mind on our trip knowing he was is great hands and would definitely book with them again!

Our sitters communication was excellent, they went above and beyond by purchasing rugs so our puppy could navigate the wood floors around their home. I would like to thank them for accepting Riley on very short notice! I would recommend this sitter to others anytime. J & B

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
