“This is the first time Gus and I have used Connie and she was amazing!! She went above and beyond to take great care of my dog and my home. She was very communicative and sent pictures and videos. Connie will be my go to when I need someone to house sit with my pup!! Thanks Connie!!”
“EXCEPTIONAL! Carolina was terrific as house and dog sitter. Sent loads of pictures showing play time, multiple walks, rests, etc. We suspect the dogs now want us to leave more often! Dogs were VERY well taken care of; 2 bunnies too! All instructions followed; house left very clean - meticulous even. Will definitely have her back!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I am very active so you can expect frequent walks. I have a 5 year old dog who is very friendly I have full availability for dog walking, I’m home house sitting, and drop in visits if you are away. I love all types of dogs. I am very friendly with all types and sized dogs. I always have treats at the ready and toys with me for a great time. I take long walks regularly and would love for your dog to come with me!
“Wow! Tayler is truly the best dog sitter we've ever used. She was attentive to our dog's needs, took constant pictures and really helped us around the house. Came back to our house much cleaner than we left it. She walked and played with our dogs all day everyday it seemed like! Truly cannot recommend Tayler's services enough!!!”

“Jennifer was very attentive and accommodating for all my crazy asks for Chance. He is an older dog and kind of needs constant watch so he doesn't get into trouble. Jennifer did amazing and provided good feedback and piece of mind for me when I was out of town.”

“Kendra is incredible! She does such a great job of watching our dog Tazer and we love getting the photos that she sends throughout the days we’re away! We sleep well knowing that Kendra is taking care of Tazer. Kendra is reliable, professional and very trustworthy! We are so grateful for her! ❤️🐾”
About: I currently work full time nights at a hospital and I am also previously worked in emergency vet medicine for 4 years. I have always loved animals big and small. I hope to get to care for yours soon! I am here to care for your pets in the exact same way you do while you are away. You just let me know how you would like me to care for them and I will do just that. I have stayed over nights with a Labradors, beagles, golden retriever, Pomeranian, cats, Australian shepherd etc. and we had a blast. I can also give baths as needed or medication if they are on daily pills/oral liquid/shots anything. I hope you will consider me and I hope to help you out soon!!! I do work full time however I work nights so I am home during the day taking care of my own golden. So I am happy to assist you and take care or check in on your baby/babies! I treat your house like my own. I cleaned houses growing up and I always treated others houses with respect and care. If I move/use something I put it back etc.
“Emerson was an amazing sitter for our two girls. I got daily updates, came home to a clean home and didn’t worry one bit while we were away. We came home to two very happy doggos and will definitely book again. Thank you for taking such good care of our girls and making it so easy to enjoy our vacation. We appreciate you!”

“Very sweet and fabulous with our dog who has a lot of separation anxiety. Our dog loved her and when I came home, she didn’t go crazy like usual if I leave the house for a bit, which means she wasn’t feeling aa anxious. I really appreciate the care for our dog and look forward to booking her again!”

“Olivia did a wonderful job with Tessa and also communicated well with us while we were away House was left clean and nice . Most of all Tessa (our dog) loved her .”

“Grace had a great stay with my critters, Billie (dog) and Bill Murray (cat)!!! It was my first time using Rover so I was a little nervous to entrust my pets with a stranger, but Grace spent an hour with us during the "Meet & Greet" and took the time to walk with us around the neighborhood. That really put me at ease! She notified me right away as things came up, and checked in each day with pictures and videos. My dog has a difficult time with other dogs and Grace was able to re-direct her to keep her safe. This time of year is always tough, too. My neighborhood was covered in a sheet of ice, followed by a blanket of snow a few days later. Grace braved the weather and kept the pets on their routine. When I got back, everything was clean and in it's place, and the neighbors only had nice things to say after meeting her! She followed instructions to a tee and the pets were as happy as could be with mom gone for a week. I've already booked her for my next trip :) Thanks, Grace!!!”

“Kevin was really great with my trio of Dogs: medium, small and smaller. He gave meds and did all the things they like to do. He was very flexible with me in the flurry of getting out of town. I recommend him highly!”

“Stefan took great care of our senior dog while we were out of town and it was the first time leaving him at home. Stefan is very responsive, responsible and a great communicator.”

“Jenna took such good care of our senior dog. She left updates on her sore paw and double checked if anything special should be done to help. Her daily+ updates and photos helped us rest easy on vacation. Highly recommended!”

About: I have been taking care of my own dog as well as friends, families, and neighbors dogs. I love everything to do with all animals. I am currently home for the summer from college and looking for some work! I love all animals and thought this would be perfect for me as I have a very free schedule for the next few months! I am comfortable with staying in your home with your fur babies as well as letting them out, walking them, and providing play time! If they stay in a crate I am also comfortable with taking them out and getting them back in! I can be very accommodating to each fur baby depending on what they need I will do my best to care for all of them as if they were my own!
About: Having fostered dogs, I am able to learn and adapt to how individual dogs work. I love being in the presence of animals and paying attention to their needs. I am a college student, and am away from the house for roughly 5 hours daily in the mornings. I also work part-time in the evenings and during the day on the weekends. I stay with your dog for as much time as I am able. I am capable of taking them on walks and/or runs depending on their needs, and continuing the training they already know.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Coon Rapids
Carolina was outstanding. It was the second time she was at our house. She was wonderful about confirming the time and asking any questions in advance. She sent photos and messages daily, if not multiple times a day. My flight was delayed late at night, and she was willing to wait to see if I could get home. She even thoughtfully washed the sheets and made me feel like it was no big deal for her to stay. Upon returning, I wouldn't have known she was here; the house was so clean. I couldn't ask for a better experience. Thank you!

Jenelle did a great job taking care of our 4 dogs and 1 cat! She was very responsive and easy to work with. She sent daily photos and let me know how they were doing. She even watered my outdoor plants for me. We will definitely ask her again when we need a sitter!

Caleb went above and beyond providing care to our animals and home while we were away. We appreciated his great communication, attention to detail, and most of all his love for animals. We would consider ourselves lucky and would absolutely hire Caleb again if given the opportunity.

Jenea is one of the best dog sitters! She is so compassionate with our 12 year old Corgi who has back leg issues. She cares so much she slept on the couch on main level as our Corgi can’t go upstairs and she didn’t want her to feel alone. So blessed to have her in our village!!!
Ashlie is always so wonderful when she stays with our pups! She and her dog, Merlin have stayed three times now and we are always so impressed. She is very communicative and sends lots of pictures! The house is always clean and tidy. I cannot recommend Ashlie enough! She’s fantastic!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Coon Rapids walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Coon Rapids maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coon Rapids choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
