I can brush or groom your pet if needed and if they have any specific needs I can tend to as well. About: My dogs have always been very high needs growing up, so I have a lot of experience working with different diets, medications, and needs. I'm an athlete, so I can take them out for long periods of time to get exercise as needed, which can be really helpful for hyperactive dogs who have to be cooped up during the day. I'm also entirely capable of caring for senior dogs, I can take things at their pace and make sure they're comfortable and happy. I am currently a full time college student, but I have a lot of open time either between classes or after them. I commute to the Twin Cities from the suburbs, so I can easily travel wherever I am needed to be able to check in on or take care of your furry friends. Being in the cities with my own car I can take dogs out for walks around the lakes or down some of the trails nearby so they (and I) can get some proper exercise before my classes. When caring for pets, I always make sure they are getting plenty of time to move around, especially if I'm just dropping in to check on them, but regardless of the need. I like to keep a checklist of what I need to get done, as well as just having a bit of time to play with or pet them. I can take pets out for walks on foot or with my roller skates, which lets me go longer distances with them. I make sure to clean up any messes I might make, putting everything back as I found it and keeping things nice and tidy for when you get home again. About: I grew up on a farm with 2 dogs and lots of other animals. Both dogs were part of the family and slept in the house. One always by my bed. I owned a Boxer and a Yorkie as an adult. They were part of the family growing up with my kids. Both dogs have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and my kids are adults living their best lives with their significant others. I have two loving cats. I volunteer with the MN Boxer Rescue picking up and transporting to foster care when it meshes with my schedule. Recently put my name on their list for emergency foster care just to get the dog in need here to Minnesota until a long term foster care provider is available. I enjoy pet sitting for my dog fix and it helps support my horseback riding lessons😊 I work Monday through Friday full time. I am able to work from home one day a week. I have watched both big and small dogs on this schedule and have had no issues. This might not work for all dogs during the week as each one is different. I baby gate my stairs so my cats can run around upstairs and come down to check out your dog if they want. At night your dog can stay downstairs loose if you tell me he/she is ok that way or crated. If he/she needs to be with me in the same room at night that works too, but preferably in a crate as my cats sleep with me. If it is only for a weekend I can put the cats in my spare bedroom at night so your dog would not have to be crated in my room. Every dog is different, so I am flexible. I live across from the Mississippi Gateway Regional park in a townhouse with lots of trails for walking. I am only a 10 minute walk from a dog park. I will take your dog out as often as you let me know he/she needs to go out. Like I said , I work full time during the week, so I might not fit your dogs needs if he/she is not able to hold it while I am gone at work. Weekends I am home.

About: I've loved animals all my life. I got my first puppy when I was about 13 years old, full of pre-teen enthusiasm for learning all about dog behavior and puppy training strategies. Now that my own beloved dog is no longer with us, I've found myself wishing I had more opportunities to connect with animals on a regular basis. I've taken every chance I could to pet sit for friends and acquaintances over the years, but recently I realized that I could also be using Rover to make pet care a more regular part of my life! Since I'm also meant to share something here that makes me "stand out" as a sitter, I'll say that animals do tend to feel particularly safe and relaxed around me. If I were to take a guess as to why that is, I think I would say that it's probably a combination of: 1) genuinely loving pets and wanting to have a positive interaction with them, 2) not bringing anxious energy into the room, which I think is something that most pets can sense, and 3) knowing enough about animal behavior to not escalate any existing anxieties or aggression. As someone who has had a beloved pet, I know how important it is to find someone to care for your pet that you can trust to accommodate their particular needs, and to create a safe, happy environment for them while you're away. If you'll trust me to be that person, then nothing would make me happier than to give your pet an amazing visit, walk, or staycation! I work full time (8 hours M-F) in Arden Hills, but I have a fairly flexible work schedule. My preference for pet care would be to mostly fit it in before and after work (my hours can usually be adjusted based on a pet's daily schedule), but I also have the flexibility to pop out for short walks in the middle of the day, if needed. I can also work from home if absolutely necessary, but I would not wish to do that frequently. I am not able to host pets in my home at this time, but if I can come and care for your pets at their own home, I am happy to follow whatever instructions you give for how to make your pet feel happy and safe and cared for during your absence! I am a careful instruction follower, so I will refer back to any information you can give me about what your pet is accustomed to when you are home, and how you would like me to care for them when you're gone. If you feel nervous at all about leaving them, I'm also more than happy to send regular updates to you about how they are doing!

About: I have had both cats and dogs all of my life. I have raised 2 litters of kittens, I have raised 2 puppies including fostering one. I have spent the last 2 years caring for my senior cat who needed extensive medication administration and monitoring daily; she also needed a special diet and many vet and urgent care visits. Also, I came home to a nice clean home, with bedding and towels washed and everything perfect, which was so nice after a long day of traveling home.
