“Emerson was very communicative and shared regular photos of the pets, which I enjoy. He was also very helpful with some unexpected mail deliveries and minor house issues as well.”

“Erin stayed with our golden retriever, Harvey, for two weekends in the past month. We’ve never used rover before and we were a little nervous, but Erin was so great with him and sent us lots of updates. She also was very thoughtful of our space! (I.e washing the sheets and towels, making the bed, running the dishwasher, leaving the space clean). Would definitely recommend!”

“Margaret was so good with my dogs. Their initial meeting went so well, and even my shy pup was cuddling with Margaret by the end of my trip. I’d definitely recommend her!”

“Olivia is a gem. She stepped in to pinch-hit after a non-Rover sitter had to leave early, and dealt with a messy house (teen sitter left quite a disaster in his wake!), untended critters, an uncertain ETA, and an unexpected medical situation with grace and care. 10 out of 10. Would recommend. Definitely hitting her up the next time I have to be away.”

“Kiah was just ideal for Jake! She provided great updates throughout and left a few amazing pics and note for when we got home. It provided us great peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. We will have Kiah again!”

“Alex was so wonderful and patient with our senior dog! We felt so comfortable knowing she was well taken care of while we were gone. She communicated well and sent us lots of pictures. We will definitely be booking Alex again!”

“Carolina continues to be an excellent dog sitter for Potato Chip! She is attentive, organized, and takes lots of excellent pictures. I’d highly recommend her for dog sitting and dog walks”

“I had a great experience leaving my pups with Aimee. She was very open to meeting them ahead of time so they (and I) would be comfortable before the longer stay and that made such a difference to my more nervous pup. Communication was excellent throughout, and I came home to a spotless house and two happy, well cared for dogs. She took them on walks, even though I said she didn’t need to and gave my fluffy boy an extra brushing. She’ll be my first choice for a sitting going forward and I will happily recommend her to friends.”

“Sarah was the best! We had peace of mind on vacation knowing the house and animals were in good care. She sent consistent updates and photos. She will be out first choice when we need a rover again!”

“Jessica is a top notch Rover and chicken caretaker. She communicates daily with multiple pictures of your pet(s) and with comments on how it is going. She was very attentive to our dog's schedule so that they are loved and taken care of. She loves to go on long walks and also taking the dog out for 'sniff' walks. She stayed at our house and was very respectful of her surroundings. The house was clean and picked up. We had no worries and our dog, who can be anxious, seemed calm and happy upon our return!”

“Dogs were happy and content upon my return! Job well done! Very personable young lady who knows the job well. I have confidence that she can handle whatever difficult situation might come up with the pets!”

“Emily took great care of our dog while we were out of town for a wedding! She gave us daily updates and pictures, which was so nice to see and hear how well he was getting taken care of and how much fun he was having while we were away.”

“Katherine was great with my dog! My dog has separation anxiety and she enjoyed her time while Katherine looked after her :) She came by in advance to meet my dog, which was greatly appreciated.”

“Erin was a great sitter for our dog and cat! They each have different needs and Erin was receptive too instructions and kept us up to date for our whole trip with photos and texts of our pets. She made traveling so much easier for us!”

“Rachel was great for my long weekend of house sitting. She communicated well and sent me updates daily. My house was left clean and tidy and my dog was happy. Highly recommended, Thanks again.”
“Abigail was amazing! She was very responsive and sent daily updates and photos. The pups seemed very happy and well cared for. She also helped us extend the stay last minute due to bad weather! So thankful for her. 🙂”

“Abby did a great job of taking care of our 2 dogs while we were out of town for a long weekend. She sent us lots of updates which we appreciated! She also left the house spotless. 100% recommend!”

“Laura did a great job caring for our 52 terrier mix. We had a flight delay on our way home and Laura stayed some extra time with girl to keep her happy. She took great care of our home too as she slept here with our dog. Highly recommended!”

“This was our first house/dog sitting experience with Connie and she was fantastic. Excellent communicator, house is in great shape, dog is happy and normal, everything is excellent. Connie clearly goes above and beyond!”

Columbia Heights pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jennifer was absolutely amazing with our two dogs, Lady and Rex, and stepped in on short notice over the holidays without hesitation. She took the time to come over beforehand to meet the pups and get familiar with our home, which immediately put us at ease. Throughout our trip, her communication was truly top-tier, better than anyone we’ve ever had through Rover. We received daily updates and photos, and it was so comforting knowing our dogs were happy, loved, and well cared for while we were away. On top of that, she left our house spotless, if not cleaner than when we left it, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and can’t wait to have Jennifer back again. Highly, highly recommend! 🐾💛

AnnMarie was great with our dogs and our house! Our two dogs can be a lot to handle sometimes but they were well taken care of while we were away. She was very communicative though booking, meetup, and watching them. Would definitely recommend her to watch anyone's pet!

Maggie did a lovely job watching our dog and cat while we were gone for the weekend! She gave the occasional sweet update, and coming back to the house everything looked great and they seemed plenty happy 😊 We would definitely love to have her watch them again in the future!

Connie is such a wonderful pet sitter and finding her was an absolute godsend. On our meet and greet she was very thorough, took notes, and our dogs immediately warmed up to her. Each of our dogs have their own idiosyncrasies and issues and she was patient to understand them. During our entire trip, she was extremely communicative, sending lots of photos, videos, and updates. She put our minds at ease, knowing our babies were in good hands. She truly treated them as her own. She even shoveled the snow on the back patio for the dogs to walk around, and she left our house very clean and neat. We could not have asked for a better house and dog sitter. Thank you, Connie!

Kendall was so great with our babies! She was so communicative and sent so many pics. You can tell she really cares about the animals she is caring for and treats them as if they were her own. Both our cat and dog take oral medication, and Kendall handled it with ease. She treated our house with respect and even went above and beyond with cleaning up after herself. Kendall offered peace of mind while we were on our vacation and I can't wait to work with her again in the future!

Anders is just the best! Super reliable and loves my dog as much as i love my dog. if he can handle my crazy doberman, then he can handle any dog imo! I totally put my whole trust and faith into in him when it comes to taking care of my dog and he does it with excellency !
