“Kimbrey & Sean were amazing dog sitters. They were great with my puppy who is still learning manners and also went out of their way to make sure my timid pup was comfortable. They were communicative, responsible, showed up on time, and sent lots of photos and updates. The dogs were both very happy when I came home and the house was exactly how I left it. I will be using them again and definitely recommend them as sitters.”

“My partner and I would absolutely hire Emerson again. He was on time, professional, and Jelly took to him instantly. Throughout our trip, he communicated regularly and was incredibly patient with Jelly, especially when she was testing him in the beginning. He won her over quickly, and from that point on, the entire stay went smoothly. We never had to worry about Jelly—she was clearly in good hands. Emerson followed every instruction, so there were no accidents or issues. When our flight was delayed, he reassured us without hesitation that he could stay longer and continue caring for her, which was such a relief. We came home to a happy dog and a clean house. What stood out most was how laser‑focused he was on Jelly’s needs and his demeanour was kind and compassionate. That’s exactly what we needed, and he delivered it with care and professionalism.”

“Kendra did a great job with our dog Winter, who can be a little nervous in new situations. She communicated well and sent frequent updates and pictures. She even left a custom dog treat and note for Winter. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Grace was awesome with our dog Cooper!! He is timid around strangers. She spent time approaching him in our meet and greet and made all of us feel at ease. Grace took great care of him while we were out of town. We so appreciate the daily updates and pics! Highly recommend!”

“Connie was amazing! She was very thorough with our meet and greet. My animals also instantly loved her and felt comfortable with her which is especially rare for my dog. My dog usually needs to be coaxed to eat special food while I’m gone but she went straight for her dry kibble shortly after Connie got there. She’s a true animal lover :)”

“Jade was very professional and took such great care of our home and our silly dog. She was very communicative and let us know what was going on through pictures and texts. Thank you Jade.”

“Seeley took great care of our dogs and home while we were away. She sent lots of updates and pictures to make sure we knew everything was going well. We will definitely work with her again in the future!”

“Margaret changed her own plans last minute when we had a family emergency! We are so grateful to her. She takes great care of your home and sends updates and picture of your fur baby. I highly recommended her!”

“Samantha was great! Rosie, Lilo, and Luna will miss her! I would highly recommend Samantha and will ask her to sit with our dogs again. We are very very happy with her and appreciate the updates she gave while we were out of town. Thank you so much Samantha!!”

“Alex is a gem. This is the second time we’ve engaged Alex and for house sitting. She was over-the-top patient and understanding with our senior beagle. Thanks again Alex!”

“Carolyn treated my dog so well! She followed my notes to a T and ensured that she got lots of exercise and stimulation. She also provided frequent updates and photos. I can tell she cares deeply about animals, and I’m grateful she was able to watch my girl while I was out of town. I will definitely keep her in mind for future pet sitting needs!”

“Carolina provided above and beyond care and updates while watching Roxy while we were away for the weekend! Her interactions with our GSD and the updates she would provide made it easy for us to enjoy our time away but also have peace of mind that Roxy was getting the attention she needed. We think Carolina must be psychic, because whenever we were wondering what our Roxy was up to or just wanting to see her today, we’d get an update and some photos to get a peek at their day! Will definitely want to have Carolina help in the future and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a Rover whether it’s your first or have had a few.”

“Biiftuu was an excellent dog sitter. She clearly took good care of my little Aussie poo. She sent good pictures and left the house in excellent shape. I would hire her again.”

“It’s obvious that Erin LOVES animals. She took such great care of my two babies while I was out of town for work with regular updates to me so I didn’t miss them so much. She was also very respectful of my living space. Couldn’t recommend her more!”

“August was great with my Asher boy and I definitely would use them again in the future! It was my first time using Rover so I was definitely a little skeptical and anxious, but they made sure to ease my anxiety by sending me frequent pictures and updates. I do feel like he was really well cared for and she also left my home in great condition and was respectful of my desires. Would recommend :)”

“Ashley was an excellent house/dog sitter! Our pup was clearly well taken care of, she spent lots of time playing and walking him. We appreciated the routine updates and she left the house clean and secured. Glad to know we can work with her again!”

“Olivia was great with dogs and responsive. I didn’t have time to leave extremely detailed instructions before our trip and she was flexible. When we were worried our flight would be delayed for our return she was understanding and willing to extend her time if needed.”

“Jennifer has stayed with our senior dog, Riley, a few times and always seems to do very well with him. She keeps his schedule of potting and feeding, and sends us frequent pictures. The house is kept up and remains tidy. We appreciate she works her career from our home. We will definitely hire her again.”

Excellent. A+ Briana stayed at our home and took care of our 2 cats and dog. She was super communicative and rolled with a few last-minute schedule changes on our end. We appreciated her professionalism, responsiveness, flexibility, and kindness. Would recommend to anyone, and we’ll be reaching out again next time!

Carol was amazing!! She stayed at our home for 3 nights and took great care of our 2 dogs. She provided us with multiple updates and we came home to tired and well cared for pups. She was super easy to work with and would definitely book her again and highly recommend her to others!!

Alexandra was extremely accommodating and kind to stay with our precious girl Luna while we were away for two weeks. Luna was clearly well cared for and she left the house tidy and clean. So relieving having someone reliable and caring. We would love to have her back!!

Andy was amazing with Snipper! She took such great care of her and made sure she was happy and comfortable the entire time. It was clear that Andy spent a lot of time playing with Snipper and giving her plenty of attention, which I really appreciated. I felt completely at ease knowing Snipper was in such good hands. I highly recommend Andy to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive pet sitter. Thank you so much, Andy!

Sean and Kimbrey are truly exceptional dogsitters! They housesat our three high-energy, high-quirk heeler-mix rescues for two weeks, and even the one who takes years to warm up to anyone warmed up to them. We received lots of photos and videos while we traveled. And I think we returned to a house that was cleaner than we left it. Seriously, Sean and Kimbrey are awesome and you should hire them.

Jamie was great with our dogs! She was extremely attentive and gave them lots of walks. We got lots of updates and pictures from her, which is always appreciated. She also left the house spotless, which was such a nice thing to return home to! I would definitely recommend Jamie again for anyone looking for someone to watch their dogs!

Natalie stayed at our house for a week to care for our 6 month old kitten and our drama queen of a 2 year old dog. She was so patient and made accomodations for our anxious dog and "toddler" cat. Our house was well cared for and we had such great peace of mind being out of state for a week knowing she was there. We received a perfect amount of updates and pictures. Natalie was a total professional and we would highly recommend her.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,499 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Robbinsdale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Robbinsdale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Robbinsdale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Robbinsdale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Robbinsdale. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
