“Tierney was wonderful! Did in home pet sitting for my puppy and 2 cats. Sent lots of updates, photos, and was more than happy to accommodate last minute extra things. Our house was left so clean you couldn’t even tell she was there. Would happily have her back!”

“Jennifer did a great job with Zoey. Zoey was very apprehensive at first but Jennifer was able to gain her trust and I think the rest of the time went really well. We got lots of pictures and updates so we knew how things were going. We have already booked Jennifer for our next trip.”

“We are so thankful to have found Connie! This was our first experience hiring a house/cat sitter who would stay in our home during an extended trip so we were completely new to the process. From our first meeting with Connie, we knew she would be a great fit. She took such good care of our kitties and sent updates letting us know how they were doing. It gave us peace of mind knowing that she was there spending time with them while we were away. When returned, they were so much happier than they have been after returning from past trips. Such a good experience!”

“This was the first time we hired Kari and we couldn't be happier. She was great with both of our dogs (one can be a little reactive) and was wonderful about keeping us updated on how the dogs were doing. We will certainly hire Kari again any time we need a dog sitter. Highly recommend.”

“I was totally at ease knowing Heather was staying with my dog who has special health needs, and the updates I received during my trip were reassuring. When I got home and saw how well my dog was doing I was more than appreciative that Heather was here for her!”

“Olivia is a gem. She stepped in to pinch-hit after a non-Rover sitter had to leave early, and dealt with a messy house (teen sitter left quite a disaster in his wake!), untended critters, an uncertain ETA, and an unexpected medical situation with grace and care. 10 out of 10. Would recommend. Definitely hitting her up the next time I have to be away.”

“Carolina was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs. She sent wonderful photos and updates frequently and always responded to any messages quickly. Our dogs had a great time with her! She stayed at our home and took wonderful care of it as well while we were gone. We will absolutely be booking with Carolina next time we need any dog care!”

“Autumn was amazing with out 2 English setters- she handled medications wonderfully and gave them so much attention and walks! Our neighbor even commented on how great she was. Look forward to using her again!”

“Isabella stayed in our home for several nights recently to care for our cat. This was our first time having in-home cat care. Isabella was conscientious, professional, and kind. We appreciated her daily updates and photos of our cats. She let us know when there were any issues with our cat, asked appropriate questions, and kept our house in excellent condition. I would not hesitate to recommend Isabella for cat care, whether in-home or visits, and I'll definitely hope to book her again for our next trip.”

“Shea was amazing! I usually have family watch my dog, so this is the first time I have had someone outside the family watch her. I felt very comfortable and at ease the entire time. Shea did an excellent job and went above and beyond. I will be using her services again in the future :)”

“Sammie is everything anyone could possibly want in a dogsitter. She is highly experienced, dedicated, flexible, clearly loves and knows a lot about animals. She is also a lovely person to work with.”

“Abigail took such great care of our pups and the house. Clear communication, asked great questions, so considerate of our senior dogs, sent photos, and the dogs loved her!”

Careese did an amazing job watching our Cane Corso! He’s our baby and this was our first time leaving him at home. She understands large breeds and brought a very calm energy that our Cane Corso loved. We will definitely have Careese watch Tuna again and we recommend her with our highest regard.

We had a great experience with our pet sitter! They were reliable, caring, and took great care of our dog while we were away. They kept us updated and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of. It was such a relief knowing he was in good hands. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Natalie was fantastic. She house-sat and dog-sat for us for over a week and went above and beyond. The house was spotless when we got home, kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms were all clean, and she even left our mail in a neat, tidy pile. It was clear she genuinely cared for our home like it was her own. She took wonderful care of Ginger too, lots of walks, and she sent us so many fun photos along the way so we got to see Ginger out enjoying herself the whole time we were gone. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Ginger was in such good hands. We would welcome Natalie back in a heartbeat and recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive sitter. Five stars all around!

Carol was amazing! Excellent communication, reliable, sent regular updates with pictures, and took excellent care of our puppy for the day! This was the first time I needed an all day sitter, I could not be happier Carol was ours! She gave me complete confidence and peace of mind that our girl was safe, healthy, and having a great day with her there. I will absolutely hope to get to work with Carol again in the future for any day / overnight sitting, and if you are looking for someone to take the best of care of your pet while you’re gone, I absolutely recommend confirming with Carol! Thank you so much!!

Jenelle did a great job taking care of our 4 dogs and 1 cat! She was very responsive and easy to work with. She sent daily photos and let me know how they were doing. She even watered my outdoor plants for me. We will definitely ask her again when we need a sitter!

Jamie was great with our dogs! She was extremely attentive and gave them lots of walks. We got lots of updates and pictures from her, which is always appreciated. She also left the house spotless, which was such a nice thing to return home to! I would definitely recommend Jamie again for anyone looking for someone to watch their dogs!

Kennedy stayed with our 8 yo lab at our home this past week and we would definitely like to have her back for upcoming trips! She was comfortable administering meds, took him on walks and communicated with us how he was doing. Great experience! Thanks, Kennedy!
Ashlie is always so wonderful when she stays with our pups! She and her dog, Merlin have stayed three times now and we are always so impressed. She is very communicative and sends lots of pictures! The house is always clean and tidy. I cannot recommend Ashlie enough! She’s fantastic!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 3,476 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Brooklyn Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brooklyn Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brooklyn Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brooklyn Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
