“Jen was wonderful! She took great care of our fur babies. They felt so comfortable with her. Appreciated all the updates and pictures. She really went the extra mile. Can’t say enough good things about her.”

“Shea was amazing! I usually have family watch my dog, so this is the first time I have had someone outside the family watch her. I felt very comfortable and at ease the entire time. Shea did an excellent job and went above and beyond. I will be using her services again in the future :)”

“Cory was awesome: very communicative and consistent in updates, he let us know whenever he would need to leave the house for a little while (which was also communicated ahead of time), and kept our place clean. Very capable and confident, which is especially needed for one of our dogs who tends to be more reactive. I’m so grateful we went with him and we genuinely look forward to using his services again in the future!”

“Our two pups loved Tierney. She overcame their anxious door barking finding a way to their hearts: outlasting Zaylee’s car hesitancy to take her (and her brother) to a favorite park, walking them around the neighborhood and spending the night with them to build comfort them while we were away. Great experience!”

“Autumn was amazing with out 2 English setters- she handled medications wonderfully and gave them so much attention and walks! Our neighbor even commented on how great she was. Look forward to using her again!”

About: I have been taking care of my own dog as well as friends, families, and neighbors dogs. I love everything to do with all animals. I am currently studying during the year to get a degree in animal studies! I am comfortable and empathetic will all kinds of dogs. I am also comfortable with giving medication as needed. I am currently home for the summer from college and looking for some work! I love all animals and thought this would be perfect for me as I have a very free schedule for the next few months! I am comfortable with staying in your home with your fur babies as well as letting them out, walking them, and providing play time! If they stay in a crate I am also comfortable with taking them out and getting them back in! I can be very accommodating to each fur baby depending on what they need I will do my best to care for all of them as if they were my own!

About: I've had dogs my whole life! My current living situation does not allow animals. Honestly, I am joining Rover to get some dog time and earn some extra cash! I love animals, but have a special place in my heart for dogs and their sweet personalities! I have been dog sitting and walking for friends and family for over 7 years independently. I am currently working full-time! I am most free to walk pups early in the morning, in the evening, or on the weekends! I am flexible and very communicative! I moved out from home recently and am really missing my family dogs, so anytime with your dog will be just as fun for me as it is for them! I am a very responsible, able-bodied individual who loves to walk or run with dogs depending on your desire for your pup! I have been pet and home sitting since I was 15, I've never had a bad experience, and love to leave a place and pup better and happier than I found them!
“Alexa was amazing and took great care of our puppy and our home while we were out of state for 7 days. Even during a tough night when our puppy was up every 1–2 hours, she stayed positive and reassuring. She made us feel completely comfortable the entire time we were away, and we would absolutely trust her to watch our puppy again.”

“I will start off by saying I have never used Rover, but everyone recommended it. I was VERY anxious about having someone come to my house and take care of our animals. After talking to Hayden during the meet and greet, all my anxiety was gone! She interacted with my dogs really well, which instantly put me at ease. She has a very fun, positive energy to her. She even let me ramble without getting frustrated. During our trip, she communicated and sent pictures every day. She took such great care of our pets. Grooming them, playing, walking them. All of my stress and worries were completely gone. She took care of the house as well, even washing the sheets for us before we got back. Communication was never an issue; I knew my fur babies were being taken such good care of. I will DEFINITELY be calling her again when we go out of town.”

“This was our first house/dog sitting experience with Connie and she was fantastic. Excellent communicator, house is in great shape, dog is happy and normal, everything is excellent. Connie clearly goes above and beyond!”

“Brett took care of our 14year old Golden Retriever while we were on vacation. He did a fantastic job! With Lola’s age comes some high maintenance requirements. Brett was great at communicating before, during and even after our trip. Always very responsive and caring. We felt very comfortable with him staying at our home with Lola. Knowing she was in such good hands allowed us to enjoy our trip. We would fully recommend Brett!!”

“Alex did an amazing job! She was great at sending pictures and updates of our dog. We could tell how loved our dog felt. He got walks everyday and lots of cuddles! Our house was in great shape after her stay too. Couldn’t recommend more!”

About: I’ve been around dogs & cats my entire life. I volunteer at the animal shelter where I walk, feed, and love the animals. It’s safe to say your pet will get plenty of love and affection from me. I’m currently working full-time, but I have plenty of time for evening walks on the weekdays and full availability on the weekends. I will always make time for a furry friend! I live near plenty of walking trails and LOVE being outside with the animals. We do have 2 cats at home and we are unsure how they get along with other cats & dogs. Due to this, we are unable to care for pets at our home.
“Peggy watched our dog for us for a week while we were on vacation. Our pup has anxiety, and Peggy did a great job helping Ember feel safe and be calm while we were gone. She also gave our dog her medications as we had asked. Along with taking great care of our dog and sending us daily updates and pictures, she was very respectful of our home and she even watered my flowers and shrubs for me! 10/10, would definitely hire Peggy again.”

“Kendra was amazing! She stayed at our house with our two dogs. She sent lots of pics and updates and was able to walk them at the same time (they’re 50 lbs and 90lbs). The house looked great when we got home and the dogs were happy. Could not recommend her more!”

“Isabella was great with our 3 month old puppy! She sent us pictures and was very communicative and gave us updates while we’re were away. Thank you for taking care of our little guy and we hope to work with you again soon!”

“Great experience! She was so kind and flexible while we were at a baseball tournament with last minute times. She watched our two dogs overnight on a Friday night and then all day Saturday. We came home to happy dogs and a clean house.”

“Kelly was awesome with our two puggles! She was very good with communication and she was awesome at taking them for walks while we were away! We will be happy to use her services in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Osseo
Jennifer was amazing. She gave us great peace of mind knowing that our two boys were taken care of while we were away. I really appreciated the pictures she sent with updates on how they were doing. Our dog is 15 years old and Jennifer was very understanding of his needs and quirks!

Kelly is the best! This is our third time using her, and we will continue using her in the future. She is super communicative, sends a bunch of pictures of our pups, and even tidied up our house. She went above and beyond and even stayed later with our pups when our flight got delayed. Highly recommend!

Jamie was great with our dogs! She was extremely attentive and gave them lots of walks. We got lots of updates and pictures from her, which is always appreciated. She also left the house spotless, which was such a nice thing to return home to! I would definitely recommend Jamie again for anyone looking for someone to watch their dogs!

I cannot say enough good things about Cindy! We trusted her to house sit our two dogs and two cats for a week. I was very nervous about having someone stay with our pets in our home for the first time, but Cindy was responsible, responsive, kind, and kept us updated on everything! She sent plenty of photos and let me know if there were any concerns along the way. She even was willing to extend her stay when a snow storm sent our travel schedule for a loop. I would recommend her to anyone! Thanks, Cindy!!

We had the pleasure of having Ellen dog sit overnight for our two dogs, who can be a bit high maintenance. She did an amazing job—taking them on walks, giving them plenty of love, and making sure all of their special needs were taken care of. It’s clear she truly loves dogs and treats them like her own. Ellen is extremely responsible, reliable, and friendly, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!

FAQs for House Sitting - Osseo
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Osseo on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,478 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Osseo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Osseo walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Osseo maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Osseo choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Osseo. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
