“We could not have asked for a better pet sitter! Annie took incredible care of our two dogs and two cats while we were away for a week. She sent us lots of pictures and consistent updates, which gave us total peace of mind and allowed us to truly enjoy our vacation. Her communication was excellent, and we came home to happy pets and a spotless house that felt like we had never left. Annie is professional, reliable, and genuinely caring we are so grateful to have found her and would recommend her to anyone!”

“Cory was awesome: very communicative and consistent in updates, he let us know whenever he would need to leave the house for a little while (which was also communicated ahead of time), and kept our place clean. Very capable and confident, which is especially needed for one of our dogs who tends to be more reactive. I’m so grateful we went with him and we genuinely look forward to using his services again in the future!”

“Alex recently stayed at our house to take care of our Cocker (Cooper) as well as tropical fish. Cooper took to her right away. She obviously has a love of dogs. Many walks and pictures. No dead fish! Highly recommended!”

“debdatta was absolutely wonderful! I was out of the country for a week and she took care of my small dog and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to do so! debdatta has a very calming and gentle nature and made sure my dog felt comfortable in her home. She even bought my dog some different dog food since I had run out of the food one day. She kept me updated daily and was extremely responsive. Would recommend 10/10! :)”

“Autumn was incredible! She had 5 star communication and provided an incredible experience for our dog while we were out of town! Highly recommend and hope to book with her again!”

“Tess was wonderful with our dog, Timber. She provided us with updates (which we loved!) and was very responsive. Tess was home & dog sitting, and we trust her completely to do it again! She met with us before hand to get a lay of the land and was here about 1 week.”

“Shea stayed at our house and took care of our dogs while we were on a week vacation in Costa Rica. She did a wonderful job. She sent us updates/photos every single day. We came home to a house that was cleaner than how we left it and some happy pups. We 100% will be booking her in the future!”

About: I've had dogs my whole life! My current living situation does not allow animals. Honestly, I am joining Rover to get some dog time and earn some extra cash! I love animals, but have a special place in my heart for dogs and their sweet personalities! I have been dog sitting and walking for friends and family for over 7 years independently. I am currently working full-time! I am most free to walk pups early in the morning, in the evening, or on the weekends! I am flexible and very communicative! I moved out from home recently and am really missing my family dogs, so anytime with your dog will be just as fun for me as it is for them! I am a very responsible, able-bodied individual who loves to walk or run with dogs depending on your desire for your pup! I have been pet and home sitting since I was 15, I've never had a bad experience, and love to leave a place and pup better and happier than I found them!
“Jennifer did another great job with Zoey. She was well cared for and got plenty of treats. Jennifer sent us a lot of pictures to show us how Zoey was doing and we really appreciated that. Will definitely ask for her again.”

“This was our first time using Rover and we truly hit the lottery with Alexa. She took exceptional care of our sweet old man and showed so much compassion, patience, and empathy while staying with him over the weekend—which turned out to be some of his final days with us. Knowing Chance was loved and so well cared for during that time meant everything to our family. I would use Alexa again in a heartbeat and cannot recommend her highly enough. 💛”

“Samantha was wonderful! Very communicative and took notes when first meeting our animals. Left our house in lovely condition and was very respectful! Our animals were well cared for when we got back. Even our shy cat came out to say hello and get pets!”

“We hired Claire to house sit or home for three days. She made us immediately comfortable, taking notes and asking appropriate questions during our pre-service walk through. She sent pictures of our “boys” (one dog and one cat) each day so we knew they were okay. We have scheduled Claire for an upcoming vacation and are confident that she will take great care of our “boys” and our home.”
“Justin took great care of our two dogs! He communicated really well, sent numerous photos while he was taking care of them, and left our house clean and tidy. We’ll definitely be booking Justin again in the future!”

“Kendra is incredible! She does such a great job of watching our dog Tazer and we love getting the photos that she sends throughout the days we’re away! We sleep well knowing that Kendra is taking care of Tazer. Kendra is reliable, professional and very trustworthy! We are so grateful for her! ❤️🐾”
“I can’t say enough good things about Carolyn. It’s so great to have someone take care of my fur baby and my house while I’m out of town. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Jade is great! We can’t wait to have her take care of our dog Maya again. Jade was very understanding and accommodating as was the first time we had someone other than family or friends watch Maya. I would recommend her to anyone on Rover.”

About: I’ve been around dogs & cats my entire life. I volunteer at the animal shelter where I walk, feed, and love the animals. It’s safe to say your pet will get plenty of love and affection from me. I’m currently working full-time, but I have plenty of time for evening walks on the weekdays and full availability on the weekends. I will always make time for a furry friend! I live near plenty of walking trails and LOVE being outside with the animals. We do have 2 cats at home and we are unsure how they get along with other cats & dogs. Due to this, we are unable to care for pets at our home.
About: I have been taking care of my own dog as well as friends, families, and neighbors dogs. I love everything to do with all animals. I am currently studying during the year to get a degree in animal studies! I am comfortable and empathetic will all kinds of dogs. I am also comfortable with giving medication as needed. I am currently home for the summer from college and looking for some work! I love all animals and thought this would be perfect for me as I have a very free schedule for the next few months! I am comfortable with staying in your home with your fur babies as well as letting them out, walking them, and providing play time! If they stay in a crate I am also comfortable with taking them out and getting them back in! I can be very accommodating to each fur baby depending on what they need I will do my best to care for all of them as if they were my own!
“Kara was AMAZING! We were gone for a week and my dogs were loved and well taken care of. She was so responsive and sent me pics and updates everyday. My house was perfect and my dogs were happy. I am so thankful for her! She gave me peace of mind and I was able to enjoy my family vacation. As a crazy dog mom, I was nervous leaving my babies… I will never worry again since we found Kara! We will be traveling more now that I know my babies have her. Can’t rave enough!”

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,299 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Corcoran. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Corcoran walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Corcoran maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Corcoran choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Corcoran. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
